  • oh good gawd why. the interviewer mentioned "loverboy" .. is it just me or does no one recognize how seriously far removed that mans brain is from the current culture?

and i wont even touch on the zebra stripe suit. because you know, nowadays thats actually cool :p

  • Bill is so young!

  • So long before ProTest.

  • seems so images in vogue

  • LOL

  • Hairs floating over heads

  • DUDE!!!!, This interview happened 1 year before I was even Bourn., that is awsome.

  • bill leeb didn't start making any really good music until rhys became a full member, & FLA was never the same after Plasticity...

  • @luxonskinjob

    Says you

  • @luxonskinjob I think the 2 newest albums were really damn good and Implode had ALOT of good tracks, it depends what you like with your industrial really...

  • INteresting that Nivek is wearing a Def Jam t-shirt..goes to show these guys actually embraced other types of music .

  • @fco242

Funny considering the tremendous amount of problems they eventually had with American Recordings.

  • @fco242 I just think that was the cleanest one he had..

  • lsay my name Dorian Nivek

  • crystal clear

  • What does BLAHRG mean?

  • i wonder if there is a biography about these guys, i need i would love to do a school project on their lyrics if i can get enough info on their life story

  • check out the skinny puppy faq website (search "skinny puppy faq") it will tell you just about all you want to know

  • you can tell bill never really fit into this band

  • lol, interviewer's hair is all nice and their hair is like BLAHRG

  • @Intrafacial86

You wrote it a year ago, but BLAHRG is a very good word,

    BLAHRG.

  • @AJtheory BLAHRG.

  • haha "Bill will get paid hopefully"

  • So who from the 3 is wilhelm aka Bill Leeb?

    God i love those looks

  • on the right

  • awesome! canada rules

  • i fuggin LOVE bites. I run it off REEL TO REEL now. BITES BITES BITES!!!!!!

  • Wow, a bit corny, but this interviewer actually didn't seem like a total moron. Thanks so much for posting.

  • @HarlotBug3 Christopher Ward. he didn't seem like a total moron because he actually cared.

  • I Lived a dream come true getting to tour with them in 07.

All 15 shows were Amazing and Cevin, Oghr and Justin Absolofuckingloutly Rule as people, and they roll with the funnest road crew ever!

I think the drugs preserved them too. they look the exact same, just different hair.

  • Wow, I wasn't even born yet. cool, I want that vinyl he's holding.

  • Now this brings back memories of staying up late watching City Limits before the days of MTV and Much

  • I love the Def Jam t-shirt! lol

  • I still have this interview (and many other old Puppy interviews/videos) on a VHS tape, but am so afraid to play it, for fear it will snap from being played a million times over the years, so glad to come across this interview here. I always thought the funniest part of this interview, is that Ogre has a big black banana clip right in the middle of his hair. His laugh is so cute too. Thanx for the upload!

  • WOW i cant believe how normal they all look, this has to be pre drugs.

  • Drugs were always in the band. Certain drugs are what destroyed them.

  • this is a smart interviewer, rare to see that with the pups

  • A MM VJ, Kim Clarke Champniss, was the manager of Images In Vogue, the band that cEvin Key and Nivek Ogre were effectively in before Skinny Puppy. Champniss also hosted City Limits City Limits on MM. This fact did NOT hurt Skinny Puppy's career at all and so Chris Ward is being especially accommodating here.

  • bill... dude. wake up. you're on tv n' shit.

  • Jeez, Skinny Puppy is old... They still kick ass.

  • bill doesn t say a lot cause hes thinking bout his first fla songs... ;-)

  • i was told bill was out of skinny puppy around the bites tour where in show when they were playing a deadlines track he went over zelous on a solo like noise pattern and ogre and cevin had enough at that point and that was the end of bill in the band.

prior to that tho bill showed ogre nerve war and/or totalterror tapes and ogre responded saying it made him "sick to the stomach" to listen to

    hmmm

    is this true

  • possibly but i believe that bill wanted to start his own band because he didn't like the direction SP was going in. He also wanted to do vocals so it was probably his personal choice as well

  • yeah...Nerve war wasn't very good. I like everything else by FLA though. :D

  • Damn!!! Cevin has some fuckin wicked eye brows!! i remember trying to look just like them... theyre still cool as hell.

  • fuck, the interviewer is like the ubermensch of gay.

and i also think its cool as fuck ohgrs wearing a def jam t shirt. i remember when it was the thing to do, hell just look at anthrax and public enemy a few years later

  • Ohgr is wearing a def jam t-shirt. What a complete bad ass lol.

  • Well I dont care....Skinny Puppy are the coolest most interesting band Ever.....

  • makes me feel a little old. and to think i still listen to the crap...

  • Crap? I have run into 20-somethings at Pink Dots shows that are fans of Skinny Puppy. No doubt because of the Tear Garden connection but it just shows how well their music holds up.

  • no bored - bill was very shy- see fla interviews in the early 90ties !

  • I love this band, testure = best song ever! rofl the guy who interview looks pretty gay...

  • um Moodypoet, Leeb didn't give them ANY rhythm, it was quite the opposite. He was kicked out because he had no rhythm. Cevin Key programs the drum beats on the albums and plays drums live. As far as I know he's the only one responsible for SP's drum programming.

  • these guys are dumbasses.

  • I lost it, again. That milktoast limp wristed "interviewer" fag made me rack a 3" 12ga slug in my Mossberg Maverick model 88 and bust a round into another monitor. An NEC MultiSync FE991sb.

    R.I.P.

  • oh man youre soooo cool with your crazy guns......lame

  • Bill has bad dandruff.

  • Bill looks really, really bored. :-P

  • Very interesting! Good old 1985...I was only 2 back then! Thanks so much for sharing these great videos!!!

  • Def Jam.... nice lol

  • gayest label ever

  • Front Line Assembly rule too, omg look at Schroder!!! this is so cool...i can't get over it...and i'm happy he left and made FLA...because FLA rule..and i believe skinny puppy wouldn't have been SP without Dwayne

  • hahaha this is SO awesome...ah man....i LOVE skinny puppy more than anything...RIP Dwayne...Oghr...cEvin...rule all...OH YES

  • Love the hair

  • Although Skinny Puppy came before FLA, FLA was a HUGE influence on industrial music. WAY ahead of the times. Puppy, FLA and the city of Vancouver (even the club Twilight Zone) need to all be recognized. Bill Leeb gave us so much and is still an excellent songwriter/producer 20 years later.

  • You're not wrong there, in fact when FLA experimented with guitars for one album, they invented coldwave inadvertently. Emphasis on "cold"--Millennium effectively captures the sound of Canada's semi-arctic wastelands.

  • If you used to go to the Twilight Zone, I probably know you. Thursday nights, back in the day? Ever see the Fourth man play there?

  • This interview is actually interesting and smart. There are real questions, not the tripe we've become inured to. Christopher Ward shows how it's done! Whoo.

  • Awwwww, Willhelm (Bill) looks sooo unhappy here :(

Good thing that he found something else to make him happy-FLA :)

  • "bill was talentless" you mean IS STILL AND ALWAYS WILL BE TALENTLESS and a fucking fag ass Fuckwad.

  • thatnk god bill left, bill was talentless

  • Wow, bold statement considering how successful he is. I assume you have much more talent right?

By the way, kickass upload thanx.

  • oh wait i'm sorry i did not know selling a few new age electronic albums with delerium made him a "successful" man, but then again i guess anyone on those terms could be classified successful... im guessing i shouldn't make bold statements about brittany, or those infinite number of punk pop bands now should i ?

  • bill still is talentless!

    (good point though...)

  • "bill still is talentless!"

    Huh?

I cant say that I agree.

Herr Leeb and FLA are awesomeness!!

  • that vynil is beautiful :O *bloody nose*

  • Wow, they're just kids. Great stuff. Looks like Bill wanted to leave even then.

  • wow. skinny puppy. brings back memories.

  • IT'S ALWAYS GREAT TO SEE cEVIN KEY, oGRE AND WILHELM, THANKS FOR THAT QUIK BUZZ.

  • awsome interview, thanks

  • Bronzebed does it again! That was like the first interview I ever seen of bleeb. Before Sp I was a huge FLA fan. I wish Bleeb would have stayed plus get Goettle. If you know please let me know why Leeb left/ or got fired.

  • Kevin and Ogre kinda kicked him out in a sence. They had showed him how to play the keyboards and such after he stuck out as one of there biggest fans. They figured they had to pull him on stage and give him an instrument. Then he wanted to leave when he didn't like the way the band was going. So in the end it was a mutual decision. they didn't want him and he wanted to do things on his own.

  • Leeb was never really a full member of the band. He played bass synth on a couple songs, a gigged with them for a while, that's all.

  • me cock's out again
