what do you mean by "filtered" water? is it the same tap water, but filtered? or is it bottled "filtered" water? If bottled, I'll stick with tap, as there's enough info out there condemning bottled water as worse than tap.

But anyways, I've been drinking tap water for over 20 years. Never had any health issues with regular tap water at all. So why should I spend 2 dollars for a half liter bottle of water when I can get the same thing for the price of my water bill? Doesn't make much sense there. To each their own I guess.

We need to OZONATE our tap water, as done in France, and have a national ban on chlorine and fluoride in tap water. Doctors and ADA now realize too much fluoride is poisonous and causes low throid and weight gain. Sue the FDA to ban fluoride in water.

I'm on the fence with flouride. my girlfriend and I stopped using flouride for a year, brushed our teeth 3 times a day at least, ate vegetarian, and avoided fast foods... we ended up with more caveties in one year than we did over the past 5 years with flouride. granted, this was not a scientific test, but makes me wonder why flouride, in at least small levels, is so bad?

Brushing your teeth with flouride toothpaste is ok, ie topical application is fine... but having flouride in the water we drink, and washing our clothes and showing in it does not help us at all... its like drinking sunblock!

i'm gonna concur with Epicx1984 -- I started drinking distilled water a few decades ago I have not noticed any dental carries increase and in fact have 5-6 teeth gone all prior to discontinuing reliance on tap water additionally I have worked in the water plants, all they do is bubble in some chlorine and drop it through sand to clean it / though 58 years old I outwork teenagers every day at work

...Why is your 'filtered' water yellow? Was the filter a Brita type filter? If so it could be loaded and time for replacement.

Have you ever heard of OTO? Well it is a chemical used to detect chlorine in water. You can probably get it from a pool supply store. If you have a chance, try adding oto to the mineral free water and you will notice that the TDS meter does not react to it. Guess what, there is a skull and cross bones on the OTO. Therefore it is a poison. If the TDS meter detects contaminants, wouldn't it also detect the OTO?
