The motor is a Konig twin cylinder 2-stroke engine, originally made for hydroplane boat racing. Konig is a company company that started making boat racing motors in 1928, and was still setting many racing class records over 40 years later. The motor on the kart is a 250cc engine (old hydroplane Class A motor - 14.8 cubic inch).
@TurbinePower69 this Konig engine put out 32hp @ 8,300rpm stock from factory. The engine on this kart has been modified and fitted with higher performance alky carbs ... I've watched it run, its very fast ... maybe pushing around 40hp as a guess, and that is a LOT of power for an old style chassis with skinny hard tires!
That has to be hands down the coolest kart on here! Two-Stroke twin! Dang!
