good old times that will never come back, RE 1 for ps1 wrote on history of games. shame that RE series begins to get less and less creative, that process toke start on RE 3 if u ask me.
I'm considering buying this game, but first I'd like to know a few things. First off, is it worth buying? is the game similar to RE4, having same commands and game ability and stuff? and lastly, is it worth paying a few extra bucks for the gold edition? and can you get the extra stuff without the gold edition? I know is a lot of questions, but I need to know. Appreciate who answer!

@quazaredragon I didn't realize the game was that bad haha, damn. I enjoyed playing the previous one with Leon, after all his my favorite character. But I thought it was kinda similar to RE4.

@urameshiiiii don't listen to that guy. The game is very polished and excellent, it's just not scary because they had to change everything when stupid people said the first trailer was racist. You're going to get your moneys worth with the gold edition. You can get all the extra stuff individually if you don't want to get gold, but why not? The game is pretty much re4 with real time inventory system and co-op. If you have a friend, it's twice the fun too!

@ImBoyD20 No, i actually love RE5, it's extremely fun! But it was just pure action, the story was pretty dumb and the graphics could be better.... Look at the older trailers of RE5, there was no Sheva, it was scary, there was more zombies on the screen and the lightning was better. I feel sad for the potential wasted because people wanted crazy co-op action like you...

Resident Evil 4 was an awesome thing, sony and microsoft, sincerely watered in Resident Evil 4 had the most difficulty but fear better story in 5 because Resident Evil 4 had regenerated, those guys that really bugs those he was so afraid , and resident evil 5 overweight men just have closed, and many other stupid things, resident evil 4 is the best.
im RE fan i play this game, well it's not bad at all but for me resident evil OUTBREAK file 1 and 2, RE cde name veronica, and RE4 is the best part of all..
Sad how one the greatest survivor horror game has become the greatest failure:(.Let's face it,RE hasn't been the same since Code:Veronica.Now it's become this super hero game.No suspense,no twist in the plot,hell,I don't even jump anymore.It's become so predictable.Now it's just chris kicking random ppls asses and we still have no conclusion.still unanswered questions.I love RE.Grew up playing it,but if you ask me,Dead Space has become the NEW survivor horror.

@milkwad1 everybody reach the final boss with a lot of ammo but to kill a Regenerator takes a lot of ammoand if you dont save sniper rifle ammo the your screw and the Fight with Krauser and the U-3 are way long too

well in my opinion, for graphic RE 5 is better than all, but for the story and gameplay, it's not really the best. There is no puzzle in RE 5, which makes the game kind of boring. Also it divides into chapters and let you choose what chapter to play and replay it, which means you can train your character, collect money, ammo..... it's not a straight story like others. Only professional mode is difficult, the others mode are just too easy. I like this, but prefer RE 4 cuz Leon is my favorite one
@lqgemini So I ask you something,since you're like a pro with the RE franchise,the only game of RE i ever had was the Code Veronica remake,and I want to try the new style capcom stuck with.So do I buy RE4 or RE5?
@machinimamarlon thank for your comment but i'm not a pro, just a fan :D. Actually, all RE games are fun to play, so you should play both if you can. RE 4 & 5 are divided into chapters, so it lets you know when you finish a mission and move to the next, not like Code Veronica where you have to find the way and missions all by yourself. In RE 4, gameplay is kind of similar to Code Veronica, you still have to look for some keys, solve some puzzles to open gates to next stage.
@machinimamarlon in RE 5, it's like a shooting game, you don't have to solve any puzzle or look for anything, all you do is moving forward, shooting and killing boss. u have to finish the stage to be able to save. You cannot return to a previous scene, as i said ur just going forward, if you miss any item in this scene and pass it, u have to replay that stage to get that item. If u play RE 4 first, then RE 5, u'll find RE 5 is easy. If you play RE5 then RE4, u might enjoy RE4 more. Good luck :)
@lqgemini I have seen gameplay for both,but I guess I will buy RE4 1st.Only for 2 reasons though.1:I heard RE4 sticks to the horror genre more than RE5,even you just confirmed it,so thank you for that.And 2:RE4 is a kinda old Gamecube game,and therefore,it should have a low price at Gamestop.I also think that Gamecube remotes are pretty cheap considering the actual system itself is about 20 bucks but I already have a Wii so screw it,I'm getting RE4,thanks for your help Iqgemini!
In resident evil 4 even "easy mode" was difficult. you had to watch over your ammo because by the chapter 4 you'll be running out of it. the knife was your best friend. and it was really scary. specialy with the regenerators. i couldn't kill too many of those things because i didn't had bullets D= Still RE5 is an awesome game, has a lot of action and stuff. but it's not difficult and most of all, it's not scary.
@sephirothD2 if you think thats hard i had the gamecube version which didnt even have an easy mode, all it was was normal and pro. i remember spending hours just trying to beat the castle water stage with all the ganados surrounding me.
@sephirothD2 i dont agree with u on the regenerators. not to be mean but if u go into the freezer and grab the inferade scope, u can kill the plagas in the regenerators which makes it a whole lot easier
@HardTimezzz sure, i know, but the feeling of that thing coming closer and closer and the atmosphere and all that shit that's suposed to make a scary game scary makes it hard. besides... i'm not too good with the sniper using a playstation controller xD
@dessan18 I watched the footage of RE5 Beta and it just makes me sad for what the game should have been. It had the potential to be 100 times epic than RE4. I'm not saying is a bad game, it's like Final Fantasy XIII, it's a good game, it has amazing graphics, but comparing it with early games of the franchise it makes you realise that it's not what it should. Capcom droped the ball by letting Mikami go. That's all there is to it.
@sephirothD2 not only that, but I think if that very specific trailer didn't get called racist, than they would've carried out their vision. I hope they will redeem themselves with Revelations. And I miss Mikami too:)

They dropped the ball on so many levels with RE5. They tried too hard to feed the mainstream gamers appetite while neglecting actual fans of the series. I personally loved the overhaul that came with RE4. But I also enjoyed what the series kept. I loved having to solve puzzlesand just think a little while playing a great game. Whereas RE5 has a couple dodge commands and thats it. Not to mention not having ONE boss that a few bullets couldnt put away. RE5 also didnt terrify me once so yeah. Fail
chris looked better when he wasnt a l4d tank, also the game would have been better if it was like the trailor origanale, but unlock sheva at a later stage

I dont understand the idiots who say this game sucked when its the same exact fucking game as RE4 was! The only difference is you can strafe in this game making it more of a 3rd person shooter then 4 was lmao! I refuse to buy this game because RE4 completely ruined my Resident Evil experience. If I wanted to play A GOOD 3rd person shooter, Id play Uncharted 2, Gears of War, or SOCOM. Not some broken 3rd person shooter where U cant even strafe or shoot an move lol!

18 or so rounds of multiplatform comparisons, the 360 wins every time, even if it's narrower than before.
You should check their gta4 comparison, was an absolute geek-treat about performance statistics. Showed that not only the ps3 rendered at a lower resolution, but at a significantly dropped framerate also.
As many developers have said the PS3 is complicated to code for. Time = money.
To lead with the PS3 just goes to show how flexible the 360 is as a system.

Sad how one the greatest survivor horror game has become the greatest failure:(.Let's face it,RE hasn't been the same since Code:Veronica.Now it's become this super hero game.No suspense,no twist in the plot,hell,I don't even jump anymore.It's become so predictable.Now it's just chris kicking random ppls asses and we still have no conclusion.still unanswered questions.I love RE.Grew up playing it,but if you ask me,Dead Space has become the NEW survivor horror.

@milkwad1 everybody reach the final boss with a lot of ammo but to kill a Regenerator takes a lot of ammoand if you dont save sniper rifle ammo the your screw and the Fight with Krauser and the U-3 are way long too

well in my opinion, for graphic RE 5 is better than all, but for the story and gameplay, it's not really the best. There is no puzzle in RE 5, which makes the game kind of boring. Also it divides into chapters and let you choose what chapter to play and replay it, which means you can train your character, collect money, ammo..... it's not a straight story like others. Only professional mode is difficult, the others mode are just too easy. I like this, but prefer RE 4 cuz Leon is my favorite one

@machinimamarlon thank for your comment but i'm not a pro, just a fan :D. Actually, all RE games are fun to play, so you should play both if you can. RE 4 & 5 are divided into chapters, so it lets you know when you finish a mission and move to the next, not like Code Veronica where you have to find the way and missions all by yourself. In RE 4, gameplay is kind of similar to Code Veronica, you still have to look for some keys, solve some puzzles to open gates to next stage.

@machinimamarlon in RE 5, it's like a shooting game, you don't have to solve any puzzle or look for anything, all you do is moving forward, shooting and killing boss. u have to finish the stage to be able to save. You cannot return to a previous scene, as i said ur just going forward, if you miss any item in this scene and pass it, u have to replay that stage to get that item. If u play RE 4 first, then RE 5, u'll find RE 5 is easy. If you play RE5 then RE4, u might enjoy RE4 more. Good luck :)

@lqgemini I have seen gameplay for both,but I guess I will buy RE4 1st.Only for 2 reasons though.1:I heard RE4 sticks to the horror genre more than RE5,even you just confirmed it,so thank you for that.And 2:RE4 is a kinda old Gamecube game,and therefore,it should have a low price at Gamestop.I also think that Gamecube remotes are pretty cheap considering the actual system itself is about 20 bucks but I already have a Wii so screw it,I'm getting RE4,thanks for your help Iqgemini!

In resident evil 4 even "easy mode" was difficult. you had to watch over your ammo because by the chapter 4 you'll be running out of it. the knife was your best friend. and it was really scary. specialy with the regenerators. i couldn't kill too many of those things because i didn't had bullets D= Still RE5 is an awesome game, has a lot of action and stuff. but it's not difficult and most of all, it's not scary.

@sephirothD2 if you think thats hard i had the gamecube version which didnt even have an easy mode, all it was was normal and pro. i remember spending hours just trying to beat the castle water stage with all the ganados surrounding me.

@dessan18 I watched the footage of RE5 Beta and it just makes me sad for what the game should have been. It had the potential to be 100 times epic than RE4. I'm not saying is a bad game, it's like Final Fantasy XIII, it's a good game, it has amazing graphics, but comparing it with early games of the franchise it makes you realise that it's not what it should. Capcom droped the ball by letting Mikami go. That's all there is to it.

Ammo was no big issue for me, i was constantly lurking and buying stuff and after a few giant scares i kicked generators ass with thermal vision sniper. The second time i played i had all weapons unlocked so it was faster

They dropped the ball on so many levels with RE5. They tried too hard to feed the mainstream gamers appetite while neglecting actual fans of the series. I personally loved the overhaul that came with RE4. But I also enjoyed what the series kept. I loved having to solve puzzlesand just think a little while playing a great game. Whereas RE5 has a couple dodge commands and thats it. Not to mention not having ONE boss that a few bullets couldnt put away. RE5 also didnt terrify me once so yeah. Fail

I dont understand the idiots who say this game sucked when its the same exact fucking game as RE4 was! The only difference is you can strafe in this game making it more of a 3rd person shooter then 4 was lmao! I refuse to buy this game because RE4 completely ruined my Resident Evil experience. If I wanted to play A GOOD 3rd person shooter, Id play Uncharted 2, Gears of War, or SOCOM. Not some broken 3rd person shooter where U cant even strafe or shoot an move lol!

You should check their gta4 comparison, was an absolute geek-treat about performance statistics. Showed that not only the ps3 rendered at a lower resolution, but at a significantly dropped framerate also.
As many developers have said the PS3 is complicated to code for. Time = money.
To lead with the PS3 just goes to show how flexible the 360 is as a system.
