  • this was my favorite ride of all

  • Going in 30 mins

  • That Voice sound like Argost from "the secret saturdays"

  • i love this ride during Halloween and Christmas

  • Whoever does the ghost tour man has a really scary laugh.

  • @Seanschemmelfan The "Ghost Host" is voiced by the wonderfully talented Paul Frees. He truly has an amazing voice.

  • @MrJake331 Yeah he actually gave me goosebumbs when i heard his voice and evil laugh.

  • @Seanschemmelfan I know I personally still get tingles when I hear his laugh right after "And consider this dismaying observation: this chamber has no windows, and no doors, which leaves you with this chilling challenge: to find a way out!"

    *epic laugh* --> *chills*

  • @MrJake331 yeah it I never been in the haunted mantion now i know how it is like now.

  • Everytime I go on this someone scares me.

Whether I know them or not.

  • I just went this ride and my group didn't even scream one bit when the hanging corpse showed. i think the guide was unhappy...

  • That ride was a pice of crap

  • ibeen to the one in disneyworld...and now im going to this one next week...cant wait

  • 3 people never got out of the ride

  • 3 people forgot their death certificates

  • I am 26 years old and REFUSE to go on this ride still to this day because when I was a kid the ride stopped right when the heads came popping out of the graves and we were stuck there for 5 minutes..I had nightmares for weeks.. My husband and son think it's hilirious that I wait OUTSIDE while they go on the ride.....

  • @sxystar41 Yeah when those popping heads pop out i always close my eyes on that part it Startles me and they are creepy.

  • @briancalifornia1 * Nightmares* I remember the lady with the lady in the wedding dress with the heartbeating..... OMG... she freaked me out too....yeah...everytime I pass there at night with the hurtz outside all evil glowing... no thanks...... I'm usually shopping around when my husband and son is on the ride... :/ There sourdough clam chowder is the best!

  • @sxystar41 It's not bad if you close your eyes on that part I think they might of took the popping heads out i am not positive though.

  • @briancalifornia1 LOL.. no thanks I'll pass....

  • @sxystar41 Awww. Give it a go the next time you and your family visit Disneyland!! I was completely freaked out by the Haunted Mansion when I was about seven, too. Ten years later I simply think it's a cute classic. Seriously, just go again. It'll be far from ominous and creepy next time around. :)

  • I think we are all scared of this house at one time or another ;)

  • No windows, No doors.... How did you get in there?

  • i watched one of these haunted mansion walkthrough videos, can't remember which one, but i heard a little kid crying his heart out in the elevator after everyone was screaming. poor kid.

  • its so dark sh

  • omg scary shh

  • totally lost my v on this ;) xxx

  • Oh my goodness...I remember when I was little I went on this best ever!!!!!!!!!

  • Can anyone tell me how sitting on your husbands tomb stone can kill you?

  • @wildpoolcat

thank you! I've always questioned that. eh..I think it's just supposed to represent that things are not always as innocent as they seem.

  • @ccipollini1984 I always figured that she ended up falling on top of the gravestone dislodging the axe which kills her or some other creepy thing like some serial killer or whatever and indicates that she is their next target or something. I jut really never could finger that out.

  • @ccipollini1984 I know now I just looked it up on wikipedia. The lady on the tombstone is known as Constance Hathaway who murdered all 5 of her wealthy husbands in order to inherit their fortunes. During the scene where all the wedding pics reside the pics of are her and her husbands and the heads of her husbands pop up and say I do and the Constance herself is in a wedding dress and still holding her rose. Aparently during the 40th anniversary she had a slit throat.

  • @wildpoolcat

You should see the portraits for Pahntom manor in paris. I love those even more. A darker, more european atmosphere.

  • @wildpoolcat She killed him with a Axe, It was on the gravestone.

  • @MegaTwilightgirlz Yeah I recently found that out when i went to the wikipedia page of the haunted mansion. Constance was actually featured in the 40th celebration of the haunted mansion's anniversary and it had a dinner with constance and George acting it out in a show dinner. You can find it on youtube.

  • @wildpoolcat O haha

  • @wildpoolcat because she killed her husband

  • @TaylorHound Thank you!

  • @wildpoolcat np

  • I hate when everyone screens at the end and it scares all the little kids what cruel parents take their 2and3 year olds to the haunted mansion, sick freaks

  • @JohnnyDfan911

i agree. It's really irritating and ruins the ambiance, but I guess everyone enjoys it in thier own way.

  • I love the Corpse part a friend of our group screams, "THATS MY UNCLE"

  • @nermac1 Lately when I go on it, I've started yelling "Shazam" just after The Ghost Host says "Of course there's always my way" like I'm calling down the lightning like Billy Batson (when he transforms to Captain Marvel)), and then, just before the lights come back on, I say "Let there be light". Also, for even longer, I love to lip sync to the Ghost Host's spiel.

  • Saying WOOO! at a haunted mansion ride?!? Brings out the fucking effect.

  • Did you see my intro of the HauntedMansion? It was the epic intro in the Stretching room where we had a screaming contest when the lights went out! :D pretty good if you count it squeeking as you go down since its an elevator.

  • I love it when people scream like that. It makes it alot more fun

  • dude when i went on it we got stuck in the cemetery part i thought it was part of the ride...hahaha

  • Im scared of dropping rides... So i dont know if ill go on this one!

  • @wildkitty97 It doesn't drop :P

  • @wildkitty97

it doesnt drop at all, and its really fun! just go on it, you will regret it if you dont.

  • man the one in CA is better than the one in FL :(

  • @3mudflap Everything in california is better my friend!

  • im going saturday ! YEA!!

  • when i was small this ride used to scare the shit out of me i would close my eyes and open them until we got out now i went 2 years ago and i was like wow i was scared of this hahahaha

  • when I was young I went with my dad, brother, and mom.I was in kindergarten so I was screaming saying"NO!IT'S SCARY!"They had to pick me up and drag me into the house.I had my eyes closed and I was with my mom the whole time clining onto her hand.ahh good memories

  • this ride was awsome i loved how the ghosts were holographic images it made realistic but to be honest why was there a picture of a man standing on a barrel wearing his underpants(SCARY) not!

  • @millsloveslush13 because there's a fuse right next to the barrel. It's about to blow up. It's right before he dies of the explosion.

but the way you put it sounds so funny! xD

  • Lol. I went way back in August and i went on this ride twice. So i know all about it now. Im still getting replies from people telling me about it.

  • "Your cadaverous pallor betrays an aura of foreboding, almost as though you sense a disquieting metamorphosis"

  • Ugh. I remember when I was 5 I clung to the bars at the beginning because I was too scared. LOL. My parents literally dragged me in. I screamed and cried and covered my ears and eyes the entire time.

    Fucking Disney.

  • in the picture room how did the guy on the tombstone die?

  • @reposurgeon1 His head was split with an axe.

  • Just went on this yesterday and it was so scary but loved it.

  • Uncle is the one that designs everything in this ride, come in 2011 should be gingerbread(: theme

  • @XxpeanutxXxbutterxX

your uncle doesnt design shit for this ride.

    its a disney original.

  • Question: Is there a record for this ride yet?

I went once with my cousin and we stood on the ride and went on over 76 times in a row. They let us stay on and we got to see where the buggys go and were everything is monitored and employees hangout.

  • @HHNhardcore

wow, how did they let you stay on for 76 times???

  • @HHNhardcore Yes, but it seems to be out of print.

  • @loveroll1234

    It's an elevator!!!

  • i wanna know how the room drops ? :D

  • @loveroll1234 , Elevator

  • I got on this at Disney World five years ago. I was so terrified that my mom had to sing to me. xD (I was 11)

    /wuss

  • Hahahaha I'm 14 and I went on this with my 11 year old nephew and my 7 year old niece...so it was up to me to be the "not scared, mature adult" But I was screaming more than my niece and nephew combined!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hmm this ride is good and unique but i just didnt have much fun on it

  • At disney world is just the same! :/

  • @Gab95TT Actually, it's slightly different. Disneyland's Mansion is two floors. The stretching room is actually an elevator between the park level and the show level. WDW is built all on the same level, so there was no need for an elevator. They just kept the stretching room because it was popular in the Disneyland version.

  • @AdrenalineAddict610 Seriously?! I was sure that on WDW there was two floors! ;p Thanks @@'

  • No Windows...No Doors...NOBODY FART!

  • this used to be a funhouse

but now its full of evil clowns

its time to start the countdown

    im gonna burn it down

  • i was there for 2 years ago and im goed that ride :)

  • Is this PE-NIS actually stretching??

  • @Xenomorph237 ha.!

  • ok...i heard from someone who works at disneyland, that originally, the pirates of the caribbean ride and the haunted mansion, were supposed to be together...anyone know anything about this, cause i'm curious about it

  • (SQUEAL!!!!!!!!!!!)

  • This ride often turns out better when shot in night vision. Overall this was a good video.

  • (almost) exactly the same attraction is in the Europapark in Germany, too!

  • when the ight go out last time i yelled out thriller

  • When everybody screams in the beginning after the lights go out is there a drop? Im going to Disneyland next week and this is one of the first rides i want to go on , so i just want to know what im in for.

  • @XXXINC There's no sudden drop. Just the corpse hanging from the ceiling.

  • @sharpproductions when i went i saw a small ghost floating around the ceiling

  • @sharpproductions Yea, its an elevator, cuz the whole ride is technically "outside' of the park

  • @sharpproductions Lol "just a corpse"

  • @sharpproductions huh. never noticed the corpse...

  • @XXXINC haha lol no its like a big living room they cant drop it unless they buckle everyone in but as im typing this i saw u already went sooo hope u had fun on that ride its ssooooo fun

  • @XXXINC check my video haunted mansion secrets , i have a lot of info from the original ride. I like the HD on this video .

  • @XXXINC nope. No drop

  • @XXXINC it's your host in a nuesse on the cieling.

  • @XXXINC There isn't a drop, but it sounds like one! lol

  • @XXXINC Allow me to shed more light on the situation, even though Sharp got it right. Basically, the ghost host implies that you can commit suicide to get out. Hence, the corpse hanging from the ceiling killed themselves to get out.

  • @XXXINC thats what i was afraid of when i first went. haha

  • @XXXINC Its just tradition to scream when you see the hanging corpse. I dont think you can go in that ride and not have someone scream at that part, even if its just a sarcastic scream(:

  • @XXXINC Yea no drop at all! But when I was little I dont think I screamed xD

  • This ride, Like many disney rides is a WORK OF ART

  • What are you doing in my house!!? LOL XDXDXDXD

    .....No seriously.

  • I remember going on this in france. it kinda creeped my out lol

  • @AwesomeNoeleen I know, i live in europe,

and i visited it 5 times. Loved it.

  • hahah in the begging when all the people scream is my favorite part. when I went on Thursday NO ONE except for me screamed. and I was like screaming "OMG REALLY!!" lol. ahaha ohh well no one knew who it was ... ^_^ teehee (: lol.

  • nice

  • i liked this ride.. but its kinda tricky at first when all these carts are moving forward and you have to quickly latch on to them in order to sit in them..

  • @chumtea1111 Yah,But I Went On The In Florida. When My Aunt Described The Carts,I Was Like"What The Heck?"

  • The american haunted mansion

is beautiful. But ours in europe

    is a must see too.

  • the ceiling goes up

  • @wazupmiley97 It actually doesn't. This room is like an elevator. So the floor lowers and guests enter the hall under the railroad tracks because Disneyland couldn't take all the ride space in the park.

  • i can see disney saying: oh no that body won't traumatize or disturb any children, their think it's cool to see a swinging corpse hanging above them from the ceiling

  • @themaxster100 its a ride, lol. and its supposed to scare kids, thus why its called The "Haunted" Mansion. not The "Happy, and Not thing Scary at all" Mansion. You cant take Disney so serously. Out of all the kids I known ride it, was not traumatized by the hanging corpse, more of when the lights go out after.

  • @mdmleotaswallghost well if the ride doesn't scar a child, then the movie 9 (cartoon) might :) i saw it and there where like two kids there and one had to leave

  • @mdmleotaswallghost First time I went on it, I was four... rode it at least once a year for the next 12 years. That, Pirates of the Caribbean, Matterhorn, and Space Mountain were my favorite rides. I wouldn't consider myself scarred or traumatized. Mayhaps a little weirder than most because of it, but I never found it scary. The scariest thing about it, to me, was the risk of getting lost in the ever-present crowd.

Now, an everyday average elevator *not* Disneyland? *Those* scare me.

  • Comment removed

  • yuuh noe wen everyone starts screamin what actually happens? because i'va always wanted to know

  • @LULUluvsEMOS the lights go out and theres thunder and lightening effects then you see the illuminated "host's" body that's hanging from the ceiling its lighten up by the lightening

  • @LULUluvsEMOS

they're just screaming for fun thats it But all you do is just walk over to the seats haha

  • dls;kfjadsikfhaksjf;laksj i cant WAIT! i'm going to disneyland this weekend. i've wanted to go on this ride since i was like 3.. i'm 18 now.. its a long time coming so im super stoked =]

  • this was a fun ride

  • its really an elevator you're in!

  • what actually happens on the ride?? do u sit in something?

  • @milkshaky99 you sit in a cart thingy and you go in and theres like the ghosts from Haunted mansion in there. and at the end theres a mirror and its like you're sitting beside a ghost..not the best ride but still pretty cool!

  • when i went here in CA - it was the christmas one but it was closed for some reason llol me and my family went in September and it was the christmas one...i REALLLLY wanted to go on it nad still do!

  • ahhaah i rember when i was like 7, u know that part when it gose pitch black it was dead quite and i was like " ha ha very funny" and evryone was laughing

    ahah good times good time

  • the first time i got on dis i was sacared were u the only one on it

  • i dont get it; wat's with the ceilings effect in the elevator?

  • The master Hung Himself in the Grand Gallery because he couldn't live without his love.

as for the Effect don't Learn it! It ruins the Exp. or "Magic"

  • I learned a lot of the effects. I think it's a way of learning to appreciate the more that went into making it. When I go through the ride it's not ruined. It's still just as amazing and makes me feel like alittle kid again anyways haha.

  • Well its the same for me but still. for others who havn't been on the ride yet.

  • You're right. but if that's the case then shame on them for watching a POV befoe experiencing it for themself =p

  • o ok

    cuz this whole time

i was too scared to look up

... except for the haunted mansion christmas time one x]

  • most Teenagers Fall for the gothic nature of nightmare. even if it has nothing to do with it.

  • i went on this once when I was 5, and i was on my dad's shoulders, and my face was RIGHT NEXT to the corpses... it scared the living shit out of me, and needless to be, i haven't been on since...

  • next to the corpses? which one?

  • sorry, corpse. singular...

  • no one has ever screamed when i went in to the elevator thing before i think its mostly little kids

  • Its really a tradition or inside joke between haunted mansion fanatics.

  • Is so funny this mansion!!! and is so terrifying* haha** Is Magic!!

  • does anyone know even to this day people are soo compelled to scream when the lights go out.

  • It's an inside joke/ tradition between major fanatics lol.

  • I dont get it.

    What happens?

    Is it a rollercoaster?

    A Walk through thing?

    I dont get it...

  • it is not a roller coaster nor a walk through. what you do is just go in that big room at the beginning. then they lead you to the part where you ride a small little seat. what it does is just takes you around. its kinda like a tour. just around the haunted mansion. i hope you understand this. cuz i have no idea if i said this correctly

  • yeah u basically said it right.. its pretty hard to explain :L kinda just like a visual ride instead of a thrill seeker ride :L

always worth a wee visit though :P

  • Its a ride but to get to the ride, you go on a elevador

  • Idk about the one in California but in Florida, it's a slow ride. It has great effects though, it's really fun

  • This is the elevator part. You sit in chairs after the elevators and they just glide. :)

  • More like a ride through.

  • What was that squeaking sound?

  • That squeaking is the mechanics of the elevator...they just need to oil everything ;)

  • it was probably little kids screaming.

  • all versions of disneyrides are slightly better everywhere else

  • why did ll the screaming start at 1:17 it dosent actually drop you down

  • my family went there too my dad were laughing ok they were screaming because a doll was going down

  • because it shows Master Gracey hung from a nuce.

also..its sorta a disney tradition thing to scream there XD, its part of the experience

  • stupid peple stop screaming

    shit man

  • when i was like 6 i went in this and it scarred the shit out of me lol, but i went back to disneyland last year and i loved this ride! so much fun, and its really sweet when its christmas time because they theme it so its like the nightmare before christmas :D p.s. been there 4 times now :) love it!

  • it should have a freefall drop in that room when it goes dark that would be sweet.

  • um. that would kill everyone

  • *rolls eyes* not that kind of drop. there's a ride called tower of terror. its the one thing this R-I-D-E (looking @ ravarova) is missing but it might be a little extreme for the little ones.

  • well they already have the tower of terror so why would they need another one?

  • its a stretching room, not a fall through the floor room. near the end you do "fall" out a window though.

  • When I was 6 years old I cried and freaked out so much in the intro but the last part made me laugh like crazy! (at least the one at Disney World).

  • Great video, thanks for posting.

  • lol i have no idea how this is scary xD

  • The ride when i went last stopped a lot i guess people have a hard time loading on the moving platform.

  • When the room goes down, I swear the pictures changed expressions to evil ones! I haven't been on it in agess though!

  • lmao i love when the little girls scream! i laff so hard!

  • bestofwest11 fails

  • My friend has owns one of the paintings on the "stretching walls".

And to BestOfWest11: ITS NOT A RIDE, ITS A HAUNTED MANSION, DUMBASS.

  • i rmember going on tht ride when i was like 7. it was so much fun

  • man you must have a ten year pass to every park

  • i never noticed that thing at the top when the lights go out

    thats cool

  • i dont get it were u on a rollar coaster?

sorry ive never went on this ridee :(

  • It is not a rollar coaster, after you leve the gallery you get in his thing called a Doombuggy and takes you around the the haunted mansion add graveyard.
