I have been searching for the best sounding exhaust system on Rebels for a while now. MACs and Jardine's have a high pitch tone to them, and the cut/baffles removed ones are just silly. This sounds great and I really like the double two-side long barrel looks. Thanks for posting!
@gaspi82 no problem. at really high revs, the deepest tones went away. but it rode great just like this. i also DID NOT rejet the carb with these pipes and a velocity stack on the carb.
@jwolske1234 Well, I assumed it didn't stay deep and rumbly at high revs. Did the pipes turn blue/did you have overheating due to not rejetting? Maybe using a 15T front sprocket or 30T rear one can keep the revs low enough.
@gaspi82 nope. never turned blue. i only kept the bike for about two months after finishing it though. sold it and build some other bikes. now i regret it. been trying to buy it back. never changed the sprockets either. oh well.
@jwolske1234 That's too bad. I saw the finished product. The white tones really looked nice, and so did the extra-sized tire. I found one other video with a cocktail shaker on a rebel: youtube.com/watch?v=PZLZMN8aDrY
Sounds similar, so I have to assume that it is the muffler and not something else.
Mine is pretty much stock. I have a video of my wife riding it. :) Maybe someday I'll get to it and do some mods.
your carbs are off and you need to idle it up just a tad ive got a 85 but i dont like the way people turn them into the bobber look of yours im running straight pipes and makes your sound like a moped lol
i got a vtx 600 , i was wondering if the engine would fit on a rebel bobber frame not the stock chassis just the chassis they use for making rebel bobbers out of
kik ass man, hey if its not much to ask.. could you show a pic or a vid of the pipes... i already bought the whitewall tire for the front and back... looks good... i just have to get new rims... i just need some nice pipes. thanks
hey man... thatnks for the info.. i found some pipes that kind of match the sound as the ones there... did you extend the bike, as in bought another swingarm ?
$hit happens ... just wondering if you have the name or model for the pipes... sounds awesome... keep posting man.. nice ride... (btw... is that a 250?)
gorgeous noise! bobbing my rebel this year. only a 125, no idea how im guna make it sound meaty but I'm guna try!

I heard that you could add a kicker to the rebel using the kickstart shaft off a 200 Twinstar. Anybody know anything about that ?

thanks for the comments. i picked up those pipes on ebay. MCM is out of business, so you'll have to find them with luck on your side. Hope you do.
