So far I have been pretty disappointed with the way this season has been turning out. It's the last season and I feel like it is going out with a whimper instead of a bang. Ugh. 4) Clay and Quinn already sorted out. Clay's getting better.

5) Brooke thrashing Tara's diner because of her note to Julian.

6) Who dies? Probably when they try to rescue Nathan? Nathan/Dan/Chris?

7) Julian feels guilty.

What I'm predicting is that Dan becomes "a hero", because he will save Nathan and, but he will be the one who dies and this is why Haley is upset when she sees the body. Dan finally earned a place in her heart by saving her family. Just a prediction.

@KrizK7 I agree, but since it's the last season and A MAJOR character has to die (It's got to be someone from the founding of the show, not Quinn or Millie, or anyone like that) and Dan seems to be given the spotlight a bit to build up that tension for fans and the characters to forgive him and kill him off. In television, killing the fallen/risen hero is the way to go. Plus, if it's Nathan, I think fans would be just to pissed off to accept it.

If Dan is the one who's body Haley identifies that will suck and is a slap in the face to Paul Johansson and the One Tree Hill audience if they kill Dan off the only way they can is to have him die in Nathan's arms and tell him he loves him and is sorry for everything. Kind of like the final scene with Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader in Return Of The Jedi. Nathan and Dan finally having closure. If that is Dan that is just bullshit and Tree Hill fans deserve better

The Sleep Deprivation

One of the big motifs throughout the season 9 premiere was that of sleep. Haley has trouble sleeping with Nathan. Brooke and Julian can't sleep because of the twins. Clay is sleepwalking. All of this sleep deprivation makes me think of lucid dreams, once again pointing to this final season being a waking dream or an afterlife.

The Opening Montage

The quick vignettes of tragedy that opened the episode, from Brooke trashing the cafe to Haley identifying a dead body, could just be a flash forward, a glimpse of what's to come. That's what everyone assumes. But if that's the case, I fully expected to see a "Three Months Earlier" graphic when it got back to Brooke being woken up by her crying babies.

I'm seriously thinking it's Nathan. 1st of all James Lafferty's contract for OTH is only for Half the Season and he's gone. While Sophia and Bethany's contracts are up until the end. CMM aka Lucas is coming back. From the beginning OTH has shapped Naleys Son Jamie into a Mini Lucas, it's fact. I'm thinking they're going to Kill Nathan and bring Lucas back having him take care of Haley, Jamie and Lidia like how Keith did for Karen and Lucas. I think as a ending it makes perfect sense.

I watched the season premiere today in HD (720p).

And I must say, I'm almost sure that the one who's dead is CHRIS KELLER. By watching this scene I clearly saw the dead body's mouth, and it's very look alike Chris' mouth.

If you watch the episode you'll realize that Chris and Alex will have some kind of relationship, probably sexual..  So Chase will kill Chris, that's why he's been arrested.

I think it will be a surprise who dies. Supposedly it has been confirmed that Nathan is in the finale so who knows. It might not be him. A part of me thinks when Haley is looking at a body that she is just dreaming. Remember Nathan had several dreams (in either season 3 or 4) about haley not surviving a car accident. Maybe that's all it is and maybe it is another original who dies. It is a male though. Thats no female's body.
