im not hateing man but it says in the disription that this is a 'detailed'and i feel that it is not.. im builiding my 1 st ar .. and id need to have some info.. thanks anyway,.
I really like that scope mount. What kid is it and where did you get it? Optics mounts are really important to me because of the eye thing. I have considered making one that is slightly offset to the left but that is lots of work and I am not sure how it would turn out.
Well its a no name brand. I think its NX they come in a green box. I dont spend big money on trivial accessories. My PSL has a factory offset (to the left) scope have you ever thought about one of those?
Do you have an opinion on the Rock River. Some time ago I bought a Rock River raised flat to upper. I paid a near premium price for it and to be honest I was not all that impressed with it. I sold it and people have said I was crazy to sell the Rock River. I did not have a prob with it I just didn't particularly like it.
Well I have never owned a rock river upper. But I have never heard a bad thing about rock river. The AR you see in the vid is a rock river lower. My uppers are mill spec custom uppers.
Cool, I am getting ready to build a RR lower and I am upper using Bushmaster parts. I am puting it togather for my girlfriend for X mas. Our local shop has RR and DPMS lowers and parts kits for really good prices.$149 lower + $89 parts kit. I have a flat top Bushy upper and a cheap red dot I am going to give her. It is her first gun. LOL She is very excited. Like I said I have no prob with the RR upper I had, it just didn't turn me on for whatever reason. Good Day !! Shannon
Well thats awesome she should love it. When it comes to lowers there pretty much all the same. DPMS is good stuff. Theres two companys that make trigger assemblies and thats COLT and DPMS. I build all my ARs from the ground up. Its cheaper and you can make it just like you want, at the pase you want.
No doubt, I bought a complete Colt Hbar and quickly saw the advantages of building yourself. I have never bought a complete one since. I have been using Bushmaster. Never had a problem and they are reasonable cost. I want their 24 inch varmeter barrel with matched bolt. :) Anyways, what is PSL? I have never seen an offset mount for an AR. About 1 inch offset would be ideal. What I was thinking about making is stainless that would clamp directly onto a flat top.
Well Colt of course is the best. But like I said I like building them its more rewarding the first time you pull the trigger. And bustmaster...you never know what your gonna get because they have several sources for there factorys. The PSL check out my vids on it. There an offtake of the Dragunov.
Ahh yes, I did see that. VERY NICE.. LOL I was hoping for a factory made offset mount for an AR. I do know what you are talking about with Bushmaster. I got some pretty cheesy hand guards and grip. They refunded with no prob. I have never had a gripe with their barrels, bolts or metal/steel pieces and I am really picky. I know some people don't like Bushmaster but I have been very pleased overall. Maybe I have been lucky. I have been stuck in bed and its been nice talking guns with you. Thx :)
Well bushmaster is not bad. My buddy just reminded me. They make a 45 degree flat top mount that will set the scope or red dot that might help you out google them. Nice talking to you to. I wanna see some vids Shannon.
Cool, I will go look for that mount right now. I have been sick for over a yr now and I really, really want to play. LOL I am slowly getting better. I am hoping for spring. I have a class 10 desert buggy(hot pink and black) Ted would love that. Ha Ha. I will do a few on that and some shooting vids. I want to do a series to introduce women to shooting. I am thinking of covering some very basic gun related stuff. I got hooked on shooting 30 yrs ago and still love it. I want to share that passion.
Well get back there girl, and if you want to talk to a cool chick that knows a lil about guns check out pugangel11 shes got a girls point of view on guns.
Well I dont know what your talkin about. But here on the east coast theres like a 6 month waiting period to BUY a built one. And hardly any companys are selling parts just uppers and lowers. But thanks for watching
"You'll notice that the hole here is nice and open...." ...Thats what she said.

Be sure to put the bolt back in the carrier with the extractor facing to the right. He failed to mention that.
