Nice playing dude, I love this song. For all the critics that have responded, why don't you please put a link to your "better" playing. I love to see talent get criticized and you slaggers never having to prove your talent. There were moments there where the tone just killed me. thanks for that
ciao Roberto, you play with passion which makes it fun to watch and listen.
i'd love to hear you play this with less drive and reverb, it might allow your "own sound" and dynamics to come through better, if you know what i mean. srv himself only rarely used heavy overdrive. just an opinion.

About the Lace Sensor pickups, I was thinking about putting some on my Tele, my only questions are how do slightly heavier, more distorted sounds work with them, and how the hum is? I know jonny greenwood uses them, and I adore his playing, but just wanna get a second opinion.
In truth, I don't know if Lace Sensor pick-ups are right for the Telecaster.
The Lace Sensor sound is more heavier than the normal fender pick-ups. Is an excellent sound but, I repeat, I never saw or hear a Telecaster with the Lace Sensor pick-ups.
I think this is what blues is all about.. it's not the fact that you should play everything note perfect to the original, it's the freedom of self expression.. Great work man.. :)
This guitar is a handmade Stratocaster. I use only the neck pick up, a Fender Lace Sensor. I play with a Peavey Classic 50 I don't mind the amp setting for this song, but usually I set this tones: Treble: 10/12 Meddle: 7/12 Bass: 11/12 Presence: 8/12 Reverb: 4-5/12 Post amp: 11/12 Pre amp: 11/12 I think I used, less or more, this setting. For boost my sound I used, I think, the Proc Turbo Rat (some times I play also with the Boss Blues Driver II) Ciao Roberto
You've the most valuable thing-the feeling of the play, and you seem very sympathetic so I wish you all best...SRV must be very glad somewhere on the other side :) cheers!

Gotta love the sound of a strat! I spend most of my tme on teles and forget just how good my strat can sound!
Really great performance dude! How do you find the classic 50 for clean? I have the classic 20 and it's a bit nasal sounding... who knows why!
Fendermadlewis 2 years ago
Teles are great guitars !
I think a real rock blues guitar player, must play with both guitars: strato & tele.
I think the Classic 50 is a very good amplifier.
roby62gtr 2 years ago
So did you work this out by yourself, or at some point read it from a tab? Or sheet music?
Would love to play like you do.. But I know its probably taken years to develop the technicians that you have here.
so could you TAB this song or write it out for people why are aspiring to learn this piece?
Crpetersena 2 years ago
I'm a totally self taught guitar player and I never played a guitar solo following some tabs.
Simply, I play guitar since I was a child and I heard much, much music, principally rock 60's & 70's and Blues.
Sorry, but I got no the tabs of this song and I'm not able to write them.
Thanks very much for watching and commenting and if you got any other questions, write me without problems, ok?
