@RickMHobson Yes, there are indeed two Pianos here. The one played by Per has the lid removed since it would face the the lid of her Piano, were it raised.
OMG, If that beautiful woman would ever be mine (Fat Chance) I would never stop her from giving beauty to the world! The only thing I would demand, don't let your hair flop in front of your face. It will cover your lovely face. Reallity check. =Stefan=
Pianoman, I never played the piano. I played giitar back in the '60', But never took it up, again.I joined the Navy. I was an engineer! Now, my fingers are not flexing, right. Even worse, I can no longer read music. I am more comfortable with a wrench, than with a pick. Keep making music, my friend. I no longer can! But if you wan't your aircraft to sing the skies, I can do that. AIRPLANES ARE BEAUTIFUL!! =Stefan=
Bye the way, Pianoman, I'm sorry, I thought I was posting to Pianowoman. I guess that teaches me not to post after having one to many. I'm sorry if I have offended you. I still wish you "Mno Haiya Lita". =Stefan=
I liked that. Great piece played with commitment. Make great concert pieces without having to employ an Orchestra. I imagine they would have listened to the Waxman originals a few times to get it that cose.

My wife's great grandfather was a member of the cossack brotherhood. He wore a sabre and carried two pistols. He had three horses killed under him in eastern european battles sometime after the 1860s.
There was one I saw in the 1960s. The man was tall, thin, with a big mustashe. His head was shaved and he wore a scalp lock.He had a sabre and two pistols. He also wore a bandolier of ammo crossing his chest. There was a horse standing behind him with a decorative saddle. He lived on the polish/russian border which was constantly changing. When it became russian they grabbed him at the age of 16 and put him in a cossack regiment.
I really think he held her down! Also, another thought, in spite of the common beliefe, Taras was NOT Russian. He was a Ukrainian Kozak. (Not Cossack). My father was one. And I also read the book by Nikolaye Gogol, in the original language. (Ya rosomiyu po nashimo).I speak and read Ukrainian. Pianowoman, "Mno Haiya Lita", If you don't speak Ukrainian, That means, God grant you many years. I've sceen you on other videos. (Blast, you are so damned cute)!!=Stefan=
I'm pretty sure this is slightly ethnic... it's from the Taras Bulba movie of the late 70's...it might be westernized a tad, but has many Uki undertones!
I know the original (orchestral version) very well, and... I'm starting to prefer this one! :D

Too jazzified, it destroyed the soul of the piece. It's good as an eclectic type piece but very different from the original.

@BudgiesFTW these Pianos are only next to each other, not physically connected. The only connection point may be between the two Pianists!

Am I seeing things, or is that -one- piano? I'm only seeing one lid up.

Yeah.. A piano with 2 keyboards at one side? Weird. :D;

@RickMHobson I think it's two pianos, but they removed the lid on one of the pianos. so it looks like it's just one, but it's not.

They used this in the Movie Taras Bulba, awesome

That's other way around, willytheball. The movie was shot first and Franz Waxman composed this music for the movie. Yes, it's awesome.

The genius of Franz Waxman shines through. Why aren't piano duo arrangements more often performed?? This is fresher than orchestra!!!
