  • One of the posts says this is documented on machinebuilers . net. I looked and couldn't find it. Perhaps I looked in the wrong place.

  • Very nice

  • Pretty cool............great job

  • Thanks for all the kind comments.

  • Good Job making the tractor! Looks nice.

  • Nice job.

  • I'd just like to clarify that this tractor isn't an articulated tractor like the one from cadplans.com. Most home built tractors I've seen steer by bending or "articulating" in the middle. In that style, the wheels are always fixed in the parallel position just like a trailer axle. My tractor isn't like this. Mine uses four independent steering knuckles. Plus mine uses a solid ladder type frame that can't "articulate". There is a huge difference between the two designs.

  • to the idiot that claims he did not build this tractor you should take a run over to machinebuilders . net go into the projects and plans forum and it will be on the first page , the title is Johns Homebuilt Tractor and have a look , he documented the entire build , and i followed it , and having built my own tractor to as well as having hydraulic experience you will not build something like this for $3200 with new parts and steel.

  • purpleheadedpython - Anyone who knows anything about hydraulics can tell who is telling the truth here. You wouldn't be able to buy the parts for this tractor for under $3200! let alone make a profit on it. Your full of shit and I called you on it. It's either that or your a complete idiot and your loosing money on each and every sale. Either way, I hope you try and prove me wrong! Prove to everyone here that this is your tractor and that you built and designed it. Good luck.

  • @1wheelpeel ya some beat to hell hydraulics

  • I bought one from you and the right lift arm broke after two weeks. You won't refund my money!! I have been trying to get you to fix it or refund my money since Feb.

And it sure as hell doesn't look like the one this guy built. Unless you made some major changes to the design.

  • hey great job! but everybody else out there they sell plans online for this I dont think he designed it

  • could you show us the site for one with a Z bar bucket linkage and 4 wheel steering? i think youll come up empty

  • Im not trying to insult I think its great! but this exact design is on cadplansdotcom let me know what you think of it I was thinking of building one.I think you have built what a lot of us dream about doing!

  • I looked at the site, and it is not the same design. There is a general resemblance, but that is true for all loaders.

  • that was three months ago! but anyway what did you think? do you understand why I thought you got the plans there? they have some other stuff there as well.

  • That is really neat. I can well appreciate how many long hours you must have into building it. The 4 wheel steering is a nice touch and must have added considerable time into the build...but probably well worth it. Congrats!

  • Hey John Nice tractor.

Did you document this on any sites?

  • This is probably the nicest homebuilt I've seen, especially since you went with crab steer. I've been collecting parts for years to do the same. So "HERES TO YOU MR. HOMEBUILT TRACTOR LOADER BUILDER DUDE!!!!!!! SHOVELS??? WE DON'T NEED NO STINKIN SHOVELS!!!!!! WE'VE GOT HYDRAULICS!!

  • notevole! marco.italia

  • that is a very well done job congrats and how did u work out the pivot in the middle and still have 4 wheels turning

  • How cool is this, you made your own tractor! I'd love to see more

  • im making a 4x4 tractor out of a nissan pickup, going to weld the rear axle solid and remove the body off it....

  • idol!

  • How do you link the steering to the rear axle?

  • i wouldnt call it a tractor. its more of a wheel loader.

  • I would agree, but still have to give him credit for fabricating it together.

  • Definitely.

  • The axles are both modified Dana 30's out of a light Jeep. Both are narrowed by using only "short side" axle shafts. No special custom parts required. Plus these axles and extra parts are easy to find cheap. Just about every Wranger, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee has one under the front end.

  • well done! what did you use for axles?

  • you did a really nice job. very cool how the bucket stays level when raised and lowered.

  • very cool, good work , im building a towable backhoe, i got some videos .

where did you get your plans from.

  • Thanks. This tractor has an extra hydraulic circuit for a PTO function. It features quick couplers for this circuit located on the loader arm. There is enough flow and pressure available to power many different attachments. Using a low speed - high torque hydraulic motor it can power things like an auger drill or cement mixer. I could also connect an extra cylinder(s)to add things like a grapple on the bucket. Either way, all attachments are designed to mount on the loader. There is no 3pt

  • Very interesting! Does the tractor have a pto/3 pt hitch for attachments? If not, what attachments can it use?

  • Hey this is really good. :)

Good job on the fab work.
