  • Good going girls! Respect yourselves and enjoy the game!

  • I stopped watching after a minute because i saw a lingerie football video on the right.

  • @olclamjammer And that is the problem with society. You saw half naked women and stopped watching. You just made a new definition for A.D.O.S.: Attention Deficit Ooo Skin! Go ahead and drool, then come back and finish watching this.

  • @olclamjammer Perv! Woman hater!

  • The LFL just shows how blind people are! There are women in the WFA and IWFL that have been playing REAL football for over 10 years and have something that LFL women dont have......DIGNITY!!

EVERYONE on the West Michigan Mayhem support this video and both of you ladies! Great Job!! SS :)

    Ka

  • Great video... Only one question... Where can we go to contribute, sponsor, or support real women's football?

  • nope. it never occurs to folks that, womens gymnastics, beach volleyball, swimming, ice skating athletes are dressed pretty scant. No one discredits their talents however.

  • @MegaSeamist Male olympic swimmers used to wear only speedos. Female swimmers never wore bikinis. Now all the swimmers wear the seal suits. There are certain sports that dont need any kind of atire and could be played nude like the ancient Greeks. But there were already female football leagues in standard uniforms before this... so the motivation behind lingerie football is clear - scantily clad females of a certain body type playing for beer guzzling, red-blooded american males.

  • As a football fan, I believe there is more than enough room for both leagues. Both play tackle football and both have excellent athletes. But to be honest, there's only one league I want to watch! (Yes, it's the one where you can tell women are women!) Now, before you brand me as some sort of perv, I'll have you know I don't watch women's beach volleyball, women's gymnastics, or women's swimming, even if their uniforms can be more revealing. As I said, I'm a football fan.

  • @Idantino Watching women playing football in standard uniforms is a turn off becuase A) Their body types are more varied B) you'd rather see one body type. C) You are not going to cheer for a big hulking female D) There is no point in watching females looking like men play your favourite sport so you might as well watch perfectly shaped girls in lingerie instead.

Therefore... lingerie football has little to do with football and everything to do with getting a boner. Am i right?

  • I was more offended with some little girls making comments that we in the LFL don't play REAL FOOTBALL. And yes, I have to agree that sex sells. Period. Look behind the scenes, the NCAA tries very hard to "feminize" womens sports. the beauties get marketed. Again, I only speak on things I witness first hand. Ran track n D-1 college as well.

  • With all due respect ladies, I think the message is misguided. If they want women to know there are more options than make an effort to let the world know that their leagues exists. Instead of wasting time on a video, make a move towards getting sponsorship so their teams are recognized. The uniform doesn't make the game nor is a gauge for talent. Regardless of what you wear talented atheltes will play the game however they can. LFL pay isn't even worth mentioning. I support all female atheles

  • @susan1reveles I disagree. Sports is one of the few endeavors where young women and young girls can feel empowered and inspired without any kind of deliberate sexual associations. But I have to add that adult athletes can choose to take drugs, play dirty, wear lingerie, or do whatever it takes to "play the game". I just hope that when my 8 year old daughter is in college, she wont be playing competitive basketball in a bikini.

  • Very nice girls.

  • Great job! Good point. !!

  • I couldn't agree more with you girls- you said it and said it well!

  • Let's end this debate. The bottomline is the LFL has done a better job.of marketing and branding. The WFA IWFL needs to get better at branding and marketing with some sex appeal..That involves their top players posing for major magazines etc. Follow the NFL lead and they market their stars with sex appeal. No matter how you spin it women's tackle football now has a a platform of conversation. Working together the leagues would be better exposed and draw more attention. LFL is branded better

  • FYI, there is a LINGERIE basketball league as well. Get your facts straight before you talk smack. Yall know nothing about the LFL players! We're REAL athletes who play REAL football & work for everything we get! We also have full-time jobs & support ourselves. We don't run around talking down about your league, its a shame you can't even support a WOMAN's league that actually is becoming something GREAT! I personally support your leagues & WISH I knew about it growing up but LFL hit me first!!

  • @h8ter51 and @dapurpl1, but if all those same opportunities were offered and the choice was entirely yours, would you still opt to play in lingerie? and if so, why? Its not healthy to understand female athleticism in the terms of a male sex drive. While you may be bonafide athletes in spite of "uniforms" bellowing the contrary, and even enormously talented, its not videos like these taking a piss on your merits- it's the league that says women athletes can benefit from taking off their clothes.

  • @ShannonEli and that makes it horrifyingly sexist...like everything else.

  • Great point...the conclusion is YES everyone has a choice on what they WANT to do. I love the game of football and have played for 10 years and I chose the LFL because it was a great, challenging opportunity for me to play with phenomenal athletes that can play in ANY football/ sports league that they choose. It is a choice but we LFL athletes have never put down other leagues...its sad that this message had to put such a negative spin on another league just to bring awareness to their league

  • @kalihi808 whatever the rest of your name is, those 2 "losers" are my teammates that are amazing, you should look up stats before you go talkin and anyways we would take on any LFL team. i play tackle football with men all the time without pads

  • We are here to make a stand while sitting on our asses

  • lol i am paris

  • @PARISJAXNREALUTUBE Lol, nope :)

  • hey... not only just the us girls play football i live in austria (not australia)

in our country the girls and boys didn't get paid (only the us players witch play for our teams) we all love these game and would never stop....

  • Yes it is sad that you have to wear less clothing but you have to do something to make up for the lower amount of action and strength. Have to make sacrifices sometimes ladies

  • Okay its all about what people want to watch, I mean look back at when women played baseball they wore skirts ! Its all business, both leagues have equally skillfull players but LFL is going to get more views and hype. In LFL you can actually tell its females playing and OF COURSE people would rather watch girls in lingerie than full gear be real jesus

  • Its a matter of competition. I was not aware of the WFA so I watched part of a game on YouTube. My impression is that it was like watching a grade high school football game. You can't compete with the NFL and College teams for fans because they run faster, tackle better, and hit much harder. If the idea is to generate fans, it is just not going to happen. I played semi pro and the people at games were family members. I expect that because we can't compete with college and the NFL.

  • Ha! The only reason they use less equipment is so that more skin will show. It has nothing to do with being bad ass.

  • Think about the different equitment u guys use. LFL use less padding that can injury someone faster then real football pads. So idk why you two losers judging the LFL. I bet u, LFL would smack you guys. I like LFL cause its WAYYY harder then IWFL. They dont wear thigh pads like yall. So calm down and go see how they practice b4 you put up videos like this. Just remember , these gurls DONT! get paid and trust me. I know kuz my Cousin plays.

  • @MegaSeamist (continued still lol). It's about knowing there are options other than "flaunting it."

  • @MegaSeamist (continued) cut list would be based on skill not bust to waist ratio, & camera like-ability. If the LFL truly respected your skillset and not you ASS-ETS that serve them for profits you would be asking everyone to watch you on ESPN not MTV. It's merely a matter of pointing out the recognizable facts & accepting the truth of what is a spade is a spade. If you are comfortable with the if you've got it flaunt it, then run with...there is no question of talent on either side. It's abou

  • @MegaSeaMist There is no question as to the fact that the gals in the LFL work hard to put on a good show. MANY of them are amazing athlete's, no question. As are many of the individual's in the WWE (World Wrestling Ent.) No one would argue that they too go through enormous prep work for their craft. In the end it is about calling a spade a spade. You are a GREAT entertainers, with a side serving of athlete when you play in the LFL. Otherwise, skill set would be the cut factor for making the te

  • @DrShuffle that's a great comparison with the LFL and WWE... both have great athletes who prepare hard, but it's more about entertainment than the actual sport.

  • All people should be able to play football If you want to play the real game please do so it's amazing and can change your outlook on life. But if you want to be on tv in you underwear then do it, I respect real football player's more (regardless of gender) but you can earn your money and have fun any way you want.

  • Here's the problem-and it's a big one: all sports are irrelevant, women's sports that much more. I watch SportsCenter every morning before I go to work and I couldn't tell you who the defending WNBA champs are. I can't name one player. Hell, even one team. I know this post is going to get thumbs down and responses from feminists calling me sexist. It has noting to do with sexism. It has to do with the fact that women's sports are BORING. Not saying they're not athletes, just boring ones.

  • Thank you ladies :) I played for the california quake and now im playing for the pacific warriors. I loved your video and I hope that people begin to see that the LFL is not the only option. I played on pop warner and junior all american teams when I was younger, even back then I thought I was doomed to only play naked or not at all. But thanks to leagues like the WFA and IWFL, I have a chance to play the sport I love the most.

  • Well put ladies!!! I have been playing football FOREVER! ( this will be year 20) I live in maine and unfortuantley our teams here arent that good because nbot enough girls know about it, which is crazy since we have been around for quite sometime. We started a new team for the 2012 season... The Maine Lynx... look out for us.. (c:

    JLo #45

  • Coming from a fellow WFA player...thank youu!

  • Such a great video. Thanks for making it. I just shared it on my blog!

  • thank you for this!

  • Where was this sport when i was in my 20's? I would have definately played, stead all I could find was bodybuilding and Karate. You go girls you go.

  • Thanks for the video. greetings from germany. :)

  • Ladies thanks so much for making and posting this video! I know we all rant about this sort of thing on Facebook and in person but making a video is an excellent idea. I know we are all going to do our part to make this video as popular as we can. I play for the Comets. Nice to see we made a cameo appearance in your vid. And don't worry about the negative comments. There is always going to be haters. Great Job!

  • Food is that you? Haha. It's #41 from the Comets here. While I believe that you are a smart man it seems to me that your argument is one sided. The LFL is way more detrimental to real women's tackle football and to women in sports in general than it is helpful in any way.

  • Thank You for your video. Reposting to get it circulated even wider.

At 41, I have played football organized or sandlot for 35 years. Only because of an obscure law and an understanding coach did I play in jr high. The women's leagues (WSFL, IWFL, WFA) are an amazing place to play the sport I love without the stigma of being the only female on the team!

Thank You Ladies for promoting women's TACKLE football!!

  • Sadly that is how the cookie crumples. Society wants to see sexy....smh. They just started a Lingerie Basketball League this year.....me being a basketball player, I was against it, now I say I am neutral. Some of those girls can play, and more power to them if that is what they want to do. I just know what I want to do and that is to play with clothes on. Lingerie league is not for everyone, just like official semipro teams and professional teams are not for everyone. My motto: Do you......

  • Katie & Liz......y'all ROCK!!!!

  • Because the only way its interesting is if you put them in lingerie. Just like womens basketball nobody cares, because its BORING... Sorry if I hurt anyones feelings but its true...

  • My friend Carly is a HS quarterback and plays with the boys. She is really good and respected by Her team mates and can throw a heat seeker of a ball.

  • thats awesome!!! Good for you . I respect you guys and what you do :)

  • katie and liz! this is why you guys are the greatest- trying to get some recognition so that ALL girls can enjoy playing as much as we do!!! Way to go team mates!!! <3 GO TRIBE!

  • Love this video, thanks for speaking out for REAL women's football! Much luv from the Cleveland Fusion!

  • Cool, but if the women that do this had a problem with it, they should stop. Most men don't like to see women get "hurt". I have never heard of women playing tackle football, and now I will watch.

  • Change around the nation in around the world please ^^ There are competitive leagues in germany as well (although it is not the same level as WFA)

  • This is awesome! I just wrote a gender studies paper on this topic and it's been crazy to talk to guys who see nothing wrong with female sports having to be hyper feminized or turned into sex objects in order to be recognized.

  • while that all may be true all of your views dont care about that, they are worried about how good you look.

  • I played for Seattle Warbirds, the 1st full-padded tackle team (WAFL) & Sea Majestics, 06-07, & now LFL. 10,11. In both experiences, we ran REAL offensives and defensive plays and real TACKLES. same brusies in the SAME places. leading rusher in 2006 and now up for MVP for LFL Seattle Mist or KILLA KAM # 7, i would put my team up against any IWFL team. we practice our asses off in the rain, sleet or snow and find it SAD women just cant support both. come to a game B4 u judge. or check MTV2. #7

  • @MegaSeamist I don't really feel like they were judging you. They were judging society as a whole on their point of view towards you girls. Almost defending you. One doesn't need to attend a game to know why a good portion of your viewers watch. Many women (myself included) wouldn't want to go to a game in which there are uniforms such as yours. I respect your hard work and I'm not judging you either because you (hopefully) love the sport you're in. Best wishes to all of you.

  • I am so glad that other ladies are trying to promote us ladies as football players. I get tired of the stereotype when I show my championship ring, assuming I played lingerie football. If we has women want respect, then we have to demand it. Thanks ladies. Way to go. Lets start a movement.

  • This is great! I have two younger sisters who played football growing up and was thinking last week how terrible it is that one of the only options for women to make money playing football is through leagues like the LFL. I'm happy to know there are other roads to follow, thanks.

  • hi i play for the Arkansas Banshees. We are in the IWFL league and i just wanted to tell you thank you for making this video!

  • Love the video! Great job ladies.

  • Way to go. Love it. That lingerie crap is just that, crap. More power to y'all. Kelly J in Ringgold.

  • awesome video! the card thing was pretty cute =) I'm all about woman's football. my cousin plays for the Minnesota vixens!

  • Great video!! I play for the Montreal Blitz and I'm proud to say that I play tackle football! Keep going girls!!

  • Don't forget the WSFL...but I get what you're sayin' here. As the WSFL's staff writer, it's time we saw real women's football back at the forefront!

  • Really awesome video! I think women's football deserves a lot more respect than it gets currently.

  • Great job. You play a sport many men, like me, could not last long in. Love the video.

  • Thank you for making this video!

  • I know you guys love the game and I hope you get the recognition that you deserve. Btw, the LFL blows!

  • This is so awesome! Thank you so much for posting this video. I respect every single woman who puts their body and heart into playing football because it's not for the faint at heart :) You ladies are amazing!

Much love - K.Davis (Cleveland Fusion)

  • I don't agree with the person who said that playing in the LFL will help WFA gain exposure. The only thing that the LFL is, is entertainment for men - similar to that of a strip show or most adult entertainment found in Vegas. What LFL is going to promote is further objectification of women, not women in sports. People just shouldn't even compare LFL to the WF; it's not the same thing. One is another form of entertainment for men, while the latter is female athletes playing an actual sport.

  • That wasn't the sense I got from the LFL game in Vegas I went to on Nov. 11. I was expecting the crowd to be nothing but drunk college kids. As it was, about a third of the crowd was female, and the age range was all over the map. On top of that, there was at least one WFA team owner there (he also coaches the Vegas LFL team), one IWFL team oner there (I sat next to her), and one WFA player who was there to support an former teammate who was now in the LFL.

  • @kynxtasy I couldn't have said it better!

  • I was reading some of the commentary from individuals... in particular one, lauramegan-something- and their thoughts that it was a positive for a player to play on both the lingerie league & the traditional athlete's league (and squak if u will that is how I see it, very cut an dry- one is nothing more than glorified arena mud wrestling - the other is sport.)

I completely & with everything in me disagree with the cross promotion or the 2. The LFL should be made to remove the Football from the

  • @DrShuffle My previous comment was removed, but to be clear, I was saying something similar to what you're saying. I don't agree with "cross promotion," because it's obviously not happening. The LFL is only out for itself.

  • awesome video teammates! :-)

  • Excellent job ladies! Well "said"!

  • Awesome! I've been playing tackle football since I was old enough to sign up. I can't wait to play in the IWFL!

  • Love you video! I'm from Germany and play tackle football myself! my team actually won the german championship of the DBL 2 (we play 9er football) and it would be great if more girls would play football, we just have 8 team in our league in whole germany, its time that we get more competition!

    weiter so!

    Greetings from Mainz, Germany <3

  • I'm a superfan of the WFA, IWFL, and WSFL. I'm also a fan of the LFL. There are players from the WFA/IWFL/WSFL who also play in the LFL (Marirose Roach, Nikki Johnson, Amber Reed, etc). This could benefit the WFA/IWFL/WSFL greatly. If an LFL fan in, say, Las Vegas, sees Nikki Johnson play in the LFL and subsequently learns that she also plays for Vegas' WFA team, might that not bring some LFL fans out to WFA games? So the LFL may turn out to be a great thing for the WFA/IWFL/WSFL.

  • @FoodinSR Sad but true. I was able to play against Marirose Roach and she is an amazing football player. It is just sad that in order to get a lot of people to watch women's football, we have to take off our clothes first.

  • Comment removed

  • @FoodinSR I don't think it will. Most people who go to see LFL are not interested in seeing women's football, they just want to see boobs and asses. One guy I talked with was dissappointed because there was too much football in a LFL game. Too much football?!?!?!? He said he was hoping for more wrestling..

  • Way to go ladies!! You two are great! I'm glad to see you have been able to come with a way to get a point I have been trying to make to many people for many years. Good luck with your season, we miss you at the West Michigan Mayhem.

  • awesome video guys...i play for the boston militia and couldn't agree more. sharing this with EVERYONE i know :)

  • @weiny85 boston militia huh? I guess we can still be friends. ha. :) Thanks for sharing it!

  • Comment removed

  • so true, you go girls, sadly we still dont seem to have equal rights if we have to undress to be able to play the sport we like!

  • @kerstinpolster I think it more has to do with the fact that men (who are the majority of the sports fan demographic) don't find women sports entertaining unless there is a lot sexual appeal to it.

  • turn on your ad sense if its not already

  • Great job on the video! My daughter plays for the Chicago Force and was on the World Champion Women's team. Now here's a thought, when will THAT championship team get to visit the White House? Hmmmm....... If you have never watched a women's game, you need to find one in your area next year. These ladies are AMAZING!

  • I didn't know about a women's league of football like this until my friend Amanda brought me to a game in Philly. I was blown away by their skill and drive for the game! I'm a guy and I DON'T watch the LFL games. I find them stupid, fake, and degrading to women. I'm sharing this with everyone I know. =)

  • @Zuhalter87, maybe but probably less talented.

  • Great Job Girls!!!

How come the LFL Comish says there is no potential for a Girls/Ladies league?

The USA Girls Team won the World Championship last year in Sweden!!!!

Keep up the good work and keep fighting!

  • I play in the WFA too- for the Minnesota Machine!!! I fully support this video and am so proud to hear views like these from my fellow WFA players! Thanks, ladies! See you in the spring (I'm still on the PUP list, so I might not be playing thought). ;)

  • Amen, ladies. I'll spread this around my facebook page. It's time people knew about REAL women's football!

  • Great Job! I just shared the link......Good luck this season ladies.

  • Thanks for making this. I'm going to pass this along to as many people as I possibly can. it is time.

  • Pretty sure the pictures of the lingerie players was way more appealing lol. Lost the point to all men by flashing those lol

  • @Zuhalter87 thats exactly the point we were making so thank you. Something is wrong with society when you can make a comment about "losing the point" of empowering women bc pictures of half-naked women were flashed.

  • this is a good video guys and i think you made a very good and valid point
