@CrazyJay785 Still running the Fox Lake ported 2v heads. They're awesome. The engine is a whole new setup now on the same heads but different cams, but with a shot of nitrous on top of the S-Trim.
@stylin992 Wow, thats...hmm, overkill? Haha what stage heads? I was looking at Stage II's? Finally decided to take my slow 2v and give it some get up and go! Also would you recomend custom grind cams for a Procharger Stage II P-1SC? Or just go with the Comps they also offer?
@CrazyJay785 stage 2 port. There's plenty of off the shelf grinds that will work great for the Procharger. I actually have a set of Comp 270's here on the shelf brand new on sale for cheap, if you're interested. They are a great all around cam even for a centrifugal supercharger.
@Jon2daJon500 I did the cams with a couple other things while the engine was out. But I believe it went from 478rwhp to 528 rwhp with just cams and valve springs changed, and a slight bump up in compression from the new shortblock. I have a set of Comp270's here for sale, brand new, if interested.
Exhaust is Ford racing shorty headers, offroad H from MRT with FLowmaster 40 series mufflers. Where are you located? You can bring it by our shop at Shrader Performance in Lowell, NC for the cam swap if you're close. I'm not familiar with VT specs. Whatever cam you choose, make sure you degree them!
@stylin992 Thanks for the info, car sounds great. BTW, Im located in deeep South Texas, McAllen to be exact.....lets just say I'm about an hour away from Mexico, lol. If I knew someone or shop where I could get cams degreed at I would but sadly nothing down here, hence why I'm "stuck" with my 262's.
270's were first. Then the 278's went in afterwards. Yes ok on stock setup, as long as you degree the cams properly. If you don't degree them, the valves will make contact with pistons.
@stylin992 cool, thanks for the response. another few questions if you don't mind, would you say the comp 270+ported heads would do just about the same performance wise as lets say a VT 2 Stage 2..? I'm currently running Comp 262's but want to get some ported heads and larger cams and want either the Comp 270's or VT's...jw what you'd suggest. Oh and whats your exhaust setup, sounds like MAC Catback? Thanks Again.
Hey, hows the Fox Lake heads doing? I'm seriously considering getting these, Trick flows are just too damn much >.<

Just wondering, is there a reason you swapped them from the 278s? Also, are the Comp 270's ok on a stock block+heads 2V...? Thanks.
