@Tex268 For some reason? There is no reason, it's just obvious. Alma is the pity character in the game. With every character you play, she has some positive attachment too (except in Perseus Mandate...I don't remember if she liked the Sergeant or not.) She never really wants to hurt you.

@lileyith Well actually she doesn't like the replica soldier in Reborn either, because there were several times she tried to kill you to stop you from getting to Fettel...she throws a car at you, at the very end she has an army of phantoms that try to stop you, and at one point during the game your objective actually says something like "destroy her minions..."

I'm glad they brought Paxton back, he was my favorite character from the first game and to be honest I'm always loath to shoot him in the head when he's kneeling on the ground in his room in the first game. I also liked in whatever expansion it was where you fight the Nightcrawlers, towards the end you hear one of them say "We've spotted Paxton Fettel" when you're near the genetic sample of Alma.

It's definitely a reference, but if you've played or seen the demo gameplay on YouTube, you'd see that this DLC has freeing Paxton in the storyline. Extraction Point doesn't count because it apparently isn't canon, so this would count as him being revived a second time. Paxton is way too badass for them to leave him out of the series, he will return.. and he'll be just as much of a scary badass if not more in the future F.E.A.R. games to come.. But this is just what I think.

I haven't exactly beaten Extraction Point.. I bought F.E.A.R. files for my XB360 but it's so scary I just take it little by little, even if he doesn't die at the end he did in the canon plot.. So this DLC will be about Paxton's return I'm sure of it, basically meant to show us a new chapter in the story beginning, thus why it's so small.. it' s purpose isn't large, just meant to bring Fettel back into the picture.

My theory: The baby is actually the evil guy Paxton from the first game reborn. There's a dlc coming out for the game later this year called FEAR 2 reborn, that will explain how the ghost version of Paxton F. used his tele powers to get a replica soldier named Foxtrot to orchestrate the situation. It sounds unbelievable I know, mainly because we killed him in the first FEAR. But dont forget he showed up in FEAR extraction as a freakin ghost. The guy creeps me out as much as Alma now.
