This might be a fun game without any doubts. But I dont see what people find here so realistic. Has it balistics eventualy ? Ok. But that alone doesnt make a realistic game. Arma 2 is probably as close as it gets so far for a game to a infantry simulation. Americas Army is not more then just a CSS with ironsight for me. But everyone has different oppinion and experience. Not That CSS is bad. Its just not the kind of experience I seek.

For a 40 honor player (when you were pretty much new to the game), gameplay in this vid is very good. From the vid it's clear you only had to develop some better aim, wich most ppl lack until 60-70 honor. AA isn't very noob friendly.

But now when ur 100 honor, and judging by your tracker stats, i'm sure ur very good player.

p.s. Your vid reminded me of older aao times and a great community it had.

I play rarely now, but maybe we meet on UA sometimes.

unrealistic? aside from graphics this game is very realistic, it's a war simulator made by the army, they know what wars is like. The characters are slow, people with a lot of stuff on them are slow, you die from 4 shots, people can die from 1 shot to the leg. This is as real as it gets gameplay wise.

It has a realistic damage model, but you still navigate the maps like a traditional fps, and your in game perspective is that of a flying camcorder with a gun taped to it, your weapon is not a real physical object with weight and length. These are not tactical movements, there is little thought given to proper tactical procedure.

It's a solid game, but outdated. I have high hopes for AA3, the console "true soldier" had a much slowe
