Federal law prohibits federal funding of abortions, and Medicaid is funded more than 50% by the federal government. So if anything, Daniels signed a law that seeks to help enforce a federal law. As if this is about men oppressing women. This is not about gender at all. Whether one supports de-funding is about how one vies Planned Parenthood. Men and women support / don't support Planned Parenthood in roughly equal proportions. A real proxy would be church attendance.

Those who attend church every Sunday are, on average, far more likely to support de-funding than those who don't.

The leap is that Daniels is not the owner of people or their property. I do maintenance on my car. No one sticks a gun in my face to make me pay for my neighbor to do theirs. By all means people should take care of themselves and help others. By no means does this equal a right to force others to do the right thing. Planned Parenthood accepts donations. There is nothing wrong with women getting preventative care... but why does it have to be on the taxpayer's dime. If you go to the "poor women" they most likely have mobile phones and other nice electronics at home. People need to be responsible for themselves and choose the right priorities... that is the issue.

Hello you can buy a cell phone for 50 dollars or less. A visit to a GP can cost 100 dollars plus per visit with 400 dollars or more for specialist. That isn't cheap and many millions of American's can't afford it. So by your standard they should forgo food and services for something that should be a right and completely payed for by the government aka the tax payers.

I hope that you find yourself in need of government assistants one day so you'll see how important they are.

PP provides screening for breath, cervical and testicular cancer, birth controls, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, menopause treatments... and yes, abortions, vasectomies and tubal ligation. If you want to avoid abortions, please refer women to PP for their birth controls and sexual education BEFORE they get pregnant.

I get 1000 a month from ss

I get $106.00 from my pension

My pension should of been 4X that but Wall street took care of that.

I have full Medicare and Medicaid

Indiana Medicaid will pay after I come up with the first $380.00 a month

after mortgage food and utilities I don't have enough for food at the end of the month.

I'm allowed 16.00 a month for food stamps.

Do the math, Indiana Medicaid is a already a complete joke!
