Porcupine quills are barbed like fishhooks. They can be treated but best to not get stuck.

Btw, those are hedge hogs, See the porcupine baby On the right (3 of them?) Those are aloso hedge hogs, Porcupines have hair like quills or, quills under the hair

no. those are porcupines. you can tell by their snout, and their quills are much much longer. they just have their quills down.

If you take a look on wikipedia, you'll find hedgehogs are not native to North America.

My dog has been nailed a few times by porcupines in the bush around here.
