Any place with a great openness; would also be ideal in Russia, as well, I'm sure. I'm not sure why hunting in one seems so ridiculous to you, as long as the vehicle is steady it gives you an easy overhead shot without having to spend 2 hours setting up a tree-stand. I'm sure it would also give you a huge element of surprise, even with noise.

I have seen other version of these para-shoot fliers here in the United States, they are nothing new perhaps the sarcasm could be toned down a bit if the reporter had done her homework before hand.

They are a cheap easy way to fly not requiring a whole lot from the FAA to be able to own and fly one. I think the Russian design actually looks cooler and will probably help keep the bugs from flying in your face wile flying LOL.
