@yoyojamapprentice he got 1st in a competition. (BAC) and he got 2nd in CAL States. only 3rd in 2 competitions. but man Gentry is a bowl of pure awesomeness!!

Gentry Stein has changed the competition scene more than anyone else in 2010-2011. I wouldn't be the national champion right now if Gentry wasn't exactly the way he is. Stop hating, and give respect to the future champion.

@owensthethird please tell me your kidding Gentry? like he did well but i mean there is a line at which u really need to look at your statement. Now I personally agree that while Gentry was a hit I mean the people who are actaully doing stuff for the community are the people teaching Gentry and where Gentry's style is rooted from. Not hating just being dead serious its cool your a Gentry fan man but like he didn't change anything. Competition in 1a at nats has been ran the same way since 2003

@penguin90254 it's true that gentry was taught/inspired by people who are "actaully doing stuff for the community." But those people didnt make the huge leap in a single year that gentry did. I managed to make a similar 1yr leap partly because I saw gentry progress so much in such a short time. he's an example of how good kids can get if they just put their minds to it

@owensthethird u just proved right the second u said that he inspired u it became influenced by your opinion please do understand i really enjoy gentry and as far as results go in 1a ya he was the most dominate US player but man like people have spent decades bettering the community if their was a best contest player at all it should be Grant Johnson the kid must have hit 20 contests in 2011 some of which were even international plus he is competetive in more than ONE style
