@ScrewFearMe I have tried games like Granada Espada, Aion, Lineage2, Warhammer and various others but I've always gone back to wow. It's not so much about a chapter 1 to 10 story line but more of the completeness of the game. Everything seems coherent in wow. Quests and creatures are created around the attack from the lich king. Or perhaps some undiscovered dwarven crap you dig out called ulduar. I fail to see that in a lot of games. Guildwars has a relatively decent storyline too.

One thing I hope is that they make spells easier to obtain, and money easier to obtain. If these change this game will be amazing.

ummm I actually played with a controller on ff11 and I was on the pc, hate to admit it but a controller was the way to go seeing as it was much faster than any keyboard configuration and trust me on this cause I played for 2 years and half my time was spent Notorious Monster hunting and marcos assigned to the triggers made it alot faster to pull nm's. People hated me for camping Leaping Lizzy all that time LOL.

@ggary04 for me its still keyboard, some people have an easier time on the troller though. I can spam stun dia and other instant or almost instant cast faster then all the 360 users I know; but if your good with a troller more props =D.

I am excited about his, but the attacking looks so slow and boring and if getting aggro is anything like FFXI(where you have to zone) than this game will not have done much for me.

WoW can be fun but when you really think about it, it is just instance, equip new gear, rinse and repeat. The story is weak and all the hard effort you spent getting that gear is replaced in the next update. That's one thing I greatly liked about FFXI is that gear from release is still relevant. All that hard work is not wasted, hopefully this game will provide that minus the pointless downtime and the game would be perfect for those who don't care much for pvp but like awesome pve.

@katra777 well WoW story is not weak its actually long and complex you just need to do research or play previous Warcraft games but yeah you are right everything about WoW is gear and raiding (which are easy to do nowadays lol). I just hope theres always something to do in FInal Fantasy 14 unlike WoW for both hardcores and casuals.

@ScrewFearMe I actually havent played Final Fantasy 11 yet so you might be correct about that anyway back to your first question theres alot of storylines from previous Warcraft games but the nice thing is they all eventually lead up to one problem almost like a huge spider web of storyline even if the story is completelly irelevant.

@ScrewFearMe Theres so many trying to explain one of them with 500 characters would not be enough like I said you'll have to play previous warcraft games or do research to understand it. (sorry for the second comment I couldnt fit everything into one comment lol). Final Fantasy games however tend to have a stronger main storyline that the player follow unlike WoW.

@sephirothXXXX yeah i know what you mean about the 500 characters... i hate it... and yes ive played both warcraft 2 and 3(i know the story of the first warcraft) ...anyways i know the storyline of warcraft... but not world of warcraft...start of it maybe but what storyline does it have... i mean all you get to know is that the world isnt what it used to be and their fighting well...evil dudes :P but thats it :(

@ScrewFearMe Yeah the story in WOW isnt as strong as warcraft games I mean sure there are quest with storylines like "That thing killed my wife kill it now" and then you have storylines thats a continuation of pervious warcraft like the Scourge and the Lich King but they're not like reading a book since it just involves killing the big bad guy eventually.

@katra777 Agreed. The downtime in FFXI is very pointless and slows the whole game down. Especially when you first start playing. It took me about 2 months to get into, considering it is very abstract and not very new player friendly. Still a great game at it's core though.

I think that to play this game on the ps3 a keyboard and a mouse will b required.. in my preference i rather use keyboard and mouse.. it just makes the game more controllable.. macros, hotkeys, ect.. get my point/???

No, a keyboard and a mouse wont be required. Even tho a keyboard IS a second alternative if you dont want to use the control. It will be just like FFXI where everything will be accessible via the control. Tho its easier to use a keyboard due to the macros and everything. Also, Mouses arent required in the game.

@TheBluewolffang well you dont have to use a mouse. I strictly used a keyboard on the pc with FFXI, it was much easier than that laggy mouse on the screen. And on xbox and on ps2 the controller is actually not that bad to use.. its very smooth. Just buy a controller texting keyboard for macros and talking.

hm i took the time to over look but ithink iget what he mean t by shield, dodge and attack not being auto, you will control free flow on combat, but enemies will have certain attacks that you will have to respond too, with either A dodge, or a shield, which ever you choose you will eitehr evade the attack if it's not a certain at t ack you can't dodge. sometimes you will have to use a shield forother attacks being used on you. so itseems very strategic! XD amazing i'm definantly getting this

apparently you will have a dodge button too what? x.x hmm sounds interesting. wait a sec i also heard him say TP when using a skill. oddly i dunno. maybe a different idea, coulda misheard. but you will be able to do combo's with skills. meaning chained weapon skill attacks

ohhh soo cool i understand alittle japanese, but it seems he said you can use shield and attacks at will as in not auto attack or auto block but actual combat. (i think) i'm decent at the language but not fluent, and it appears in the video you can draw your weapon when ever you want. A++ more realism to me XD also he says skills will be avernished and strategic but most skills require a certain source of stamina others don't or will not (i don't think he is talking about mp).

TP most likely from the old FFXI system

youd build up TP by fighting then unleash a move that was pretty strong, allies could string together certain TP moves to have finishers that magic players could then use to crit there magical casts

it was used a lot in FFXI so im sure theyll bring it over to FFXIV
