@officialkidrauhl1 There are usualy three types of uvb bulbs. Mecury vapor bulbs which are basking bulb and UVB in one. Then there are compacted flurosents which suck don't use them. Then the best is the tube ones. Get a good brand one like repti sun 10.0 percentage is good for bearded dragons.
Okay, I have a 55 gallon glass tank, two deep domes, and a small clamp lamp. I want to get a bearded dragon but, I don't know what kind of bulbs to get or what wattage I need to have enough heat and UVB lighting for the dragon. I will be posting the same question on every dragon keeper's video until someone answers me!!! :-(
@greenizDAnublaque baskin spot needs to be kept at 100 to 110 degrees so probably 150w or 100w and 75w get a 10.0 uvb light or bulb or just take him outside for a while thats the best uvb lightin ever!!
@reptileGuy2073 You can use a wide variety of substrate. You can use calcium sand but there is a high risk of impaction. I recommend reptile carpet/ slate tile/ or paper towels.
@GodzillaPengu i agree with you and i dont think this bro looking faggot knows shit he looks like a young hank hill. And why the fuck would you wanna live in alaska.
push the uv light fixture a lil bit to the left (my left) and push the basking day light bulb a little to the left as well, this way he gets warm + gets his UV rays as well.
how many baby beardies can i get for a 2.5 ft vivarium. i'm getting a new viv for my, almost, 1 year old, and was going to get another one for her old viv?
You're looking at the wrong place to determine the sex of beardies. You are supposed to be checking the base of the tail for the bulges...not inbetween the legs. As for calcium they are supposed to be getting dusted calcium crickets 5x a week for babies and 2x a week dusted with multivitamins. As adults they will get crickets dusted 2-3x a week and multivitamins 1-2x a week. You should bathe your beardie 3-4x a week to keep him well hydrated, not just for his shedding. 1-2x is too little
@eddieusselman It should be exactly the same, the only difference been is you might need a night light for example my beardie can survive without a nightlight because my room is quite warm however in winter if your tank drops below 70 degrees you wil need to by a night light.
You sound so intellegent im overwhelmed with your sense of well being and knowing. Great you have beardies, does this mean you are intellegent enough to "kare" for them? Not at all. And i dont need an invitation to point an idiot in a crowd. In other words. Ill reply to your comment if I see fit.
@thebeardedreptile The ONLY thing ill say in Eddieusselman's defence he was atlest looking up beardie care videos, EVEN if he cant spell, LMFAOO
and to answer your question Eddie, like robarsenal said, its the same cost, i just use my night heatlamp more becuase my room stays cold all day. in a regular place it would be night time, in a warmer place, you wouldent need one, but there all of 15 bucks anyways. thats the ONLY diffrence.
it can take a few years to impaction to affect him
