Had absolutely no idea what the song was about, but I thought it was one of the most beautiful songs and videoclips at the time. Um, I bought both spice girls albums back when i was 15 or whatever (31 now) and well... I'm glad i never watched this video back then.. This song can be interpreted as someone losing a friend. This song was released just after Geri Halliwell left the group. As you can see at the ending of the video, 4 Fairies left the vending machine and 1 was missing. The vending machine could represent as a place where memories are kept including a friend and times you had with him/her.

A very good, touching and indeed a sad song with a very deep meaning to it. :)
