  • Well done? Skirt steak is tough as leather if it's cooked to that temperature. Try cooking to medium rare, covering with foil and letting it cook to medium. That would be perfect carne asada. Your palate needs to be refined if you eat dried out meat

  • bola de idiotas. Just say "preparada por favor" when you buy it. When cooking just hang out near the grill because if you are drinking you might forget about the meat. Then if needed, just pour beer on the flames if they get a little out of control. Thats it.

    meat has a natural fatt the burns off and drips on the meat salting it and giving it flavor.

    when u add all these juices and spices u take the natural taste of "carne asada" away and basically ur left with a meat that taste like orange juice, or beer, whatever dumb shit u add to it.

    salt and very little pepper........thats it man.

  • This guy doesn't have a clue. A simple a very good tasting way to make Carne Asada is buy this marinade called Mojo Criollo. It's a authentic Mexican Carne Asada marinade. Marinate thinly sliced steaks overnight. After you cook the steaks dress up your tacos (small soft flour or corn tortillas) with fresh onion, cilantro, tomatoes, avocado and cabage. There you have it some REAL Carne Asada tacos just as good as South of the border.

  • uhh...only chef marito?? where do you come from? cause in southern cali we have the best carne asada and chef marito just doesn't provide enough flavor-though it is neccesary to use, there's much more that goes into the marinade like: garlic, cilantro, jalepeno, sugar, cumin powder, chef marito, olive oil, vinager, and orange juice...mix that all in with water, marinade for five hours and throw it on the grill and ENJOY!!!! but not chef marito by itself. that does nothing.
