He started Foster over Williams way too long. He gives his vets the benefit of the doubt. As shown in Foster starting over Williams or Mike Rucker over Charles Johnson, the fact that Keary Colbert was a starting WR since last year. Starting garbage FS's until finally getting Charles Godfrey in the draft.
It is a consistent trait of John Fox he doesn't trust rookies that easily unless they are an immediate need. Deangelo was not drafted as an immediate need because at the time Foster was a good RB. Then he broke his ankle and has been mediocre ever since then. They didn't anticipate Foster sucking so much afterwards.

I believe the injuries just caught up with Foster. He broke his collar bone in 04, his ankle in 05. He had turf toe either 05 or 06 as well. I believe he is also tore a ligament as a rookie in his knee. His body has been through alot. 05 was really the last chance he had, the last bit of talent he had. He could have been an amazing runningback if he never got hurt but sadly that was not the case. I still think he could do well as a reveiving back but he doesn't belong in a starting role anymore.

'04 was 5 years ago and he was a beast than but than he went to chicago (where recievers go to die) now when teams are preparing to play the panthers they prepare for steve not mushin or the backs. teams will allow a 30 yard run or a 12 yard curl before they would allow a 70 yard bomb to steve for 6. cuz if steve gets in the groove than he could have a 200 yard day and 3 scores

you'll need to stop comparing the running stats and look at game tape the one main (fuckin giant) reason is steve smith. williams and stewart got the star wide out that teams gameplan for the titans dont. so the titans see 7, 8 and even 9 man boxes to stop the run. panthers never see that cause if teams did than steve is running free and steve is the biggest weapon on that team. people forget to look at the defenses in which player have to run against.

in '04 when steve got injured for the whole season the only person we had was moose.....he had 93 cathes for 1,405 yards. yea hes older now and put in the same situation i dont think he could do it again. but he is one of the most effective run blocking wide recievers in the whole league....helping our run....which open up the pass....for both moose and steve.

'04 was 5 years ago and he was a beast than but than he went to chicago (where recievers go to die) now when teams are preparing to play the panthers they prepare for steve not mushin or the backs. teams will allow a 30 yard run or a 12 yard curl before they would allow a 70 yard bomb to steve for 6. cuz if steve gets in the groove than he could have a 200 yard day and 3 scores

mushsin is no longer a great wideout. he has one foot in retirement and the others going down. dj hackett is just that a hack and waste of money. and dont even think about sayin dewayne jarrett cause keyshawn johnson said him and mike williams were both busts. all the experts said you need to add another wideout to learn from steve and eventually replace mushin (next season most likely)
