  • Actually, the notion that God is only used to fill in gaps is fallacy, not the other way around. Belief in God doesn't inherently stifle advancement in science. One could even argue that Tyson doesn't even understand the concept of God. The standard explanations of things are not only unsupported by the evidence, but they violate the laws of physics!
