  • nice one bro! From Aotearoa New Zealand. We play 3 chords down here... locally known as the Maori chords. Now I'll look just a tad more on to it when we drinknjam in the garage! Not going to tell the bros where I got my "adjusted styles" from though! lol

  • dude this is amazing, i LOVE the way u teach!!

  • Well, I don't know why so many people say that you would be such a bad guitar player... I love your videos, I learn very much by watching them and thus I think that's all it should be about.

And i LOVE you talking about the "Johnny Cash" finger. I am from Germany and I always have to think about which finger you mean (except "thumb"). But when I hear Johnny Cash, I exactly know which one you mean. So thanks for the videos and keep going :)

  • Hey Mojo Just to say I really appreciated your Stairway to Heaven lesson

I've been wanting to play this for years and you're the only one who has managed to show me.

Methodically patiently and as an adult

    Many thanks

and please carry on the good work !

And...what the hell diff does it make what he calls the damn finger?? Great job Mojo...I think the other guys name is Mo-Ron. Moron. They need to get laid I think.

  • Love your playing and your teaching.Keep up the good work.

  • Thank you for your time u make it look easy. I don't know why people go to the trouble of being negative

  • the chord right after the first D is and F

  • Mojo, you rock. You have taught me to play a number of songs now. Your style works for me, and it works for the people who now think I am a half decent guitar player too. All thanks to you, I might add. Keep the Mojo magic coming. I like the yapping, as you explain what's going on.

You just can't please some of the knobheads who come on here. If they don't like it, they don't have to watch. Simple. Thanks, from London.

  • Great video, although I'd appreciate it if you'd start playing what the final thing sounds like (as you are teaching it) before you begin teaching... Nothing personal, but there are some videos online where people are teaching a song and it's completely wrong but hard to tell until one has wasted the time to actually learn it.

    Nonetheless, great video. :)

  • dipin bach o cymraeg yma diolch yn fawr o gogledd cymru

  • Nice guitar playing! This is one of my favorite songs, and I think you've got it down. :)

  • I can't believe that when a guy like Mojo takes time and effort to try and help those of us who ain't got a clue, some people will slag him off!! What's wrong with the world? onceforgotten09, if u don't like it, don't watch it, asshole! MOJO, keep it up, don't let the retards get u down, we really appreciate what you do, thanks.

  • Your great! and I really appreciate your lessons

  • MoJo the chord in question is a Cm7 I think. Good lesson.

  • dude more playing less yapping seriously let me know when you get that through your head and its the fuck you finger not the johny cash finger dumbass

  • Dude, more social graces, less yapping. Seriously, let me know when you get that through your head.

Oh yeah, and punctuation is your friend, too!

  • @ThreeChordGuitar: People trip over the dumbest stuff...thanks for the vids man. Keep it up.

  • @ThreeChordGuitar You tell e'm Mojo! Can't believe some people! I don't see any vids of that person on here. Not to mention, why would he even watch yours if he doesn't like it? Oye Vey!

  • @ThreeChordGuitar People like you are a Godsend to others who want to try a song they know and like but can't get on with books etc. Keep it up please and ignore the negative comments from infants. Good work mate.

  • @onceforgotten09 If you don't like it don't watch it dumb ass. Shut your mouth and give your ass a chance.

  • @onceforgotten09 holding up the old fuck you finger in front of your retarded head! You probably cant play Mary had a little lamb so STFU!!!!

  • @onceforgotten09

Even satan himself would love to sit and listen to this guy right there and laugh to his jokes. This guy takes time to give us lessons and give nice examples with jokes and you hate it ? GET OF HIS CHANNEL and let the rest of us enjoy him !

  • @onceforgotten09 jackass!

  • @onceforgotten09 it's called the johnny cash finger because that is the finger johnny cash used

  • @onceforgotten09 :: dude, at least hes not antisocial

  • @onceforgotten09 faggot your an unappreciative asshole

  • i like your stupid jokes :P

  • dude i suck not like u

  • The no stairway to heaven came from lots (and I mean lots) people playin the main riff from stairway to heaven at guitar shops pretty soon everyone got fed up and banned it from guitar shops.

  • Hi, as you said is your version, sounds very similar, but still very good and you made easy to follow. Thanks for this lesson.

I studied for a year, and wasn't easy the arpeggios, and you did very good. I'm still trying but, need a lot of time for practicing.

Thank you again, and continue with the good work, some of us appreciate the effort that some people do to help the others.

    Cheers

  • No Stairway denied :D

  • Exactly what i needed videos is so much better than just tabs. Thanks Mucho!!!!

  • Back then, tablature didn't exist. You had to play songs by ear but now people can go on websites to look this stuff up now.

  • 4:13 - 4:20 you play it little wrong, still good :)

  • Desde España, ¡Muchas gracias por tus clases! Lo haces muy sencillo para los que no sabemos mucho y realmente se pueden seguir muy bien las explicaciones.

  • Super lessons dude! Love your vids; they really helped me alot!

  • Another GOOD lesson MUCHO THANKS

  • i play bluegrass. trust me you are a pretty good guitar players don't listen to idiots on here that don't care about people.

  • how pretend to do a lesson if you cant play the guitar??

  • Learn how to write, *then* comment :)

  • ohhh really???

    lol what an idiot..

im italian and im 16 and i speak english

you're a fucking idiot than can't play the guitar and cant speak italian right?? ^^

  • English is my third language... Poof, there goes your silly argument again. But now that I know that you're 16, I guess it explains your clear lack of maturity and social graces. You should worry less about my guitar playing abilities, and more about how to acquire said social graces. Ciao.

  • the fact remains that you can not play guitar baby...

  • Nope, that fact does not remain at all... and don't call me baby. That only comes after the third date, and you're nowhere near having earned that right.

  • Hey man, your a great guitar player and a lot of help thanks.

  • Thanks for the kind, supporting words. I very much appreciate it! :)

  • Amen to that. Don't listen to them. They just can't play like you can. Your videos helped me learn the hard songs through simplified means. Thank you for your very helpful videos.

  • @ThreeChordGuitar haha dude !! ur like water, no one can burn you!!!

  • @ThreeChordGuitar hey man thx for the lessons i dont know whats up wit the rude comments but great job

  • @lafierra BUUUUURN!!!!

  • did you not listen he is trying to remember the tab and is trying it without looking it up

  • Sounds pretty hot for just remembering how the song went!!!!

  • your good

  • Ace lesson! :)

  • Nice lesson Mojo! :)

  • lol ! Back in the day all the music shops I went to had two signs hanging up. One in the guitar section read "No Stairway To Heaven" and the one in the keyboard section read "No Tubular Bells". Happy days. May your Johnny Cash finger always do what you tell it to do.

  • Realy good lesson, and beautiful guitar. Thanks :)

  • love the song but, never had the patience I guess to sit down and learn it ,,definetly not a three chord progression,,theres alot that goes on there

  • oh sorry bookmark for me to learn srry bout that man. seriously. i kinda need helP on sweet home alabama Paart where u have to um Play the last Part.

  • Is that an Ovation? She sure is beautiful.

  • LMAO...9 inches. Hilarious. Thank you for all of your vids. You have taught me alot and I feel somewhat bad that I haven't paid a dime for these lessons LOL. But again thank you for taking time out of your day to teach us how to play.

  • Feel bad no more, I take paypal ;)

  • Could you use a Cap of the 5TH?

  • hey that chord you played in the last riff you couldn't say it's an " a minor" it's just not the spanish version :)

    Kevin

  • ahh the i just saw that guitar in my Musician'sFriend mag and i was like i want that!

    weird lol

only like 400 bucks too! :)

  • FYI, I'll sell mine for $200 w/ the hard shell case, so to heck with MF's prices ;)

  • you still selling that guitar???

  • I think I am... having second thoughts, though :)

  • what is the name of that guitar?

  • "mi, la, ré, sol.."

    T'es grillé man !

  • Thanks Mojo..I learn easier from you more than anybody else I have watched on youtube. You take the time to show things so simplified where as others sometime assume everyone sees what the strum pattern is or how the chords are played. Thanks alot for helping us beginner players.

  • thanks a ton but after you do the first little part with the bar part , is there anything you do inbetween that part and the g chord

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH...

  • lol johnny cash finger

  • If you can play guitar like that, you don't need 9 inches! Have learned a great deal in just watching three of Mojo's vids. Highly recommended!

  • your gonna get nine inches lol

  • I have celebrity but not a deluxe. Is the deluxe american made? Sounds good, I love that twang when playing plugged. Nice job

  • Thanks for the kind words. Mine is MIK, not MIA... I also have an Ovation Elite T which is US-made and quite sweet! I know I am in the minority, but I enjoy Ovation guitars...

  • Yeah, mines MIK also, but it still sounds great. As yours dose too I would imagine. Keep up the good work.

    SM

  • what guitar is that?

  • It's an Ovation Celebrity Deluxe.

  • your actually the coolest guy.

    thanks homie.

  • Thanks for the very kind words :)

  • you are a wonderful player and teacher. Thank you very much

  • Hey, where is the cymbal crash on the 9 inch joke!!!!

  • Sorry, I am not a drummer ;)

  • Ha ha...

  • Hey, where is the cybal smash on the 9inch joke!!!!!!!

  • Absolutely spot on! No way can you play like Jimmy Page, how many have that talent. But no way can Jimmy play like you, he's just not that talented! Technically he can play anything you could show him - but he couldn't come up with it like you in the first place. (Course his own ideas are pretty good.)

Keep posting, great job helping people learn to play for themselves. If we only want to be clone MiniPages we'll always be unhappy 'cause we just are'nt that good. But man you're good enough!

  • hey man awesome lesson - thanks - the only question i have is how are you tuned? reason i ask is cause i had to bar 7th fret for the intro to sound like you. reguardless of what other nit-pickers say - your lesson sounds great to me.

  • nice try but its wrong... at least you dont play sloppy and your in tune so i have to give you props. nice job

  • Please read what the accompanying text says... and you'll realize that it is *not* wrong. this is *my* version of the song, and it's *simplified* because that's the point of my website. Therefore, technically, I am the only one who can say that it is right or wrong, since I am the only one who knows what *my* version sounds like :)

  • this is almost exact

  • jajaja 9 inches XD

  • Is that an ovation acoustic?

  • Yes it is. It is an Ovation Celebrity Deluxe.

  • wow

  • nice work dude and nice hat....

  • The first 90 seconds are irrelevant talk, without no playing and no teaching. That is enough delay for most viewers to lose interest, regardless of how good the remainder might be.

  • actually i think that's what most viewers find interesting rather than a rigid straightforward lesson

  • happy 09

  • Nice hat

  • niiiice im watching this in january the first in 2009

  • good one! thanks, man!

  • Nice knob joke (9") at the start!

  • Thanks for posting these videos ive been using them for awhile but ive been having troubles with bar chords any tips

  • could you please send me a tab or make one because i got lost at the bar chord part

  • For me it is easier because I first learned how to play the guitar using bar cords. So i don't know many cords.

  • it was waynes world

  • thanks very much..........

  • YOU ROCK

  • Because it's a very difficult part to get the timing. The time signature goes 2x 4:4, 7:8, 4:4, 9:8, 4:4, 7:8, 2x 4:4. That is really different from what you are doing there, buddy, sorry. You are doing 4:4 all the time, you lose one eighth note in the 9:8 and adds two in the 2x 7:8... That would make you out of time in a band O.o

  • ur the best!!!!

  • Hehe, for 20 years I have been waiting to learn that piece.. So simple.. I am a better guitarist now than i was 10 min ago.. Your teaching is very easy to follow! Thx

  • thanks very much :D you are a great teacher !

  • Great,,,,,,,,,,,super awesome thanks from ur time, nice vids.....

  • Nice Guitar man

  • Nice vid, helped a lot, by the way, the chord, you don't know how to call, is a Fmaj7, easy way for beginner to play an F without barre. Thx for the vid again.

  • That's pretty much how I learned it. Nice Job!

  • what model is ur ovation? mine looks alot like it, just the bridge is a darker color--nice lesson too

  • sounds perfect too me.

  • but the point is that this would be my first one :( but than you.... and I wont to play some thin like Dżem (polish band) or something like this. But thx any way :)

  • i have a question... i wont to buy a guitar and tell me what is better this one or normal acoustic in the same price?? please help me...

    thanks :)

  • It depends on what tones you want to accomplish , how you want to record it, etc... I'd say go try a bunch in a store and get the one that sounds the best and feels the best.

  • thanks allot you realy helpt me out of here !

    ..stairways to heaven !

  • awsome!!!!!!!!!sir you are great

  • Mojo,

I received your YouTube email. Thanks again. Your online lesson encouraged me to go out and buy a used Yamaha FGX720SCA elecric/acoustic guitar and Crate Amp today. I've already learned about five songs today using yours and two other online lessons. I suspect I'll have Stairway to Heaven roughly learned within the hour.

    Tom

  • Congrats on your success!

  • Mojo,

Thanks for the lessons. I have improved quite abit in the last two days since finding your website. You're very easy to follow....

    Tom

  • Thank you for the kind words, you made my day!

  • practice, practice, practice.... you'll get it and most importantly, never give up and dont make it a job! :)
