Vespa is absolutely italian! It's made by PIAGGIO an italian company in Pontedera near Pisa. The VESPA rival is another italian scooter called LAMBRETTA made in the north of Italy. GRANDE VESPA, UN MITO!

For my opinion, Im also a vespa fanatic....Just like Volks Wagen Bettle..It was originally from Germany, But later they assembled it in Brazil, later VW make a model Called Brazilla, I think it is the same case with vespa...Parts are from Italy, But made it British...dont be surprize if there are vespa assembled in India or Thailand...

Piaggio is Chinese since more than 5 years... not Italian like some people think.

"Vespa" is made i Italy... it´s an Italian Trademark... i don´t think if you buy a Ferrari you would buy i from US UK FR or DE....

The UK had dealers like Grimstead and Baldet that made "special" performance vespas. Some of those models speak purely to the UK culture. Vespa also had the Douglas model that was a English made vespa. France had the Acma vespa.....so on and so forth.

So you just have to do a bit more research to really make your opinion have any validity what so ever.
