You can also use Pony brand spring clamps they come in all sizes and have a rubber coverf on the neds so they won't mark your material.

At what size rim does it make sense to start tapering the rim ends in thickness so that no lump forms where they overlap?

Some weavers start when using 3/8" flat/oval, but honestly, I don't unless I'm using 1/2" flat/oval. Nancy

I would never have thought of buying seagrass! I would just have gone outside and gotten some dried long grass from last year's growth! We didn't lay anything in the groove. I see that will make a nicer finish. I'd also never thought of zip ties!
