  • Northwest Airlines? When was this shot?

  • What a #ucking joke this is not a line this is a **cking bus!!!!

  • How about Orange Line from Start to finish and red as well. And Please film "Attention Passengers, the next ... line train to ... is nor approaching/arriving

  • a train to logan would be amazing, but they wouldnt have the capacity to do something like that, they would have had to put it in before redoing the terminals and laying alot of the city, logan is really only accessible via plane boat or motor vehicle. but yes a train would make it faster and easier.

  • and VIVA's Novabus LFXs arent that bumpy

  • @GordonFreemanD40 the RTS T80206 are extremly bumpy, high floored stairs, and low-roofed

  • its rough cause its Neoplan and diesel. why not electrify the whole line and get 100 E60LFRs? or dieselise whole line and use DE60LFRs or XC60s?

  • Love the video :)

  • I always ride while go to my sister's home(cambrige)from japan. it's very combinient

    system.

  • Here's an MBTA video request: how about a vid showing the arrogant passengers who board the buses and are not ready with their fare, thus slowing down the bus route.

  • @wecley I think we all have seen enough of that...also on the Green Line surface routes, ugh.

  • This is a dual-mode trackless trolley. The operator does not have to get out to raise or lower the trolley poles. It's done automatically with the use of pans on the trolley wires and automatic retrievers.

  • what is that rail line (obviously an industrial train) that the bus parallels in your video from 03:08 to 03:28?

  • I'm not sure, I was wondering that myself

  • its some kind of industrial track that comes off the "old colony main" just south of Southampton St Yard, not far north of the Red Line portal. As to who operates it, etc I am not sure......

  • @jdgator95 its an abandoned commuter rail line, it the tracks only go 4 blocks now (about 300 feet.)

  • Does anybody know if it's true that you can switch from subway to bus and vice versa for free with a charlie card?

  • It's true...you just have to scan your card again so they know you already paid.

  • Wow, two very different announcement voices. Man in tunnel, woman at the airport.

  • no you don't have to get the bus to switch from electric to diesel. you can do that with the touch of a button. The reason why the driver have to get out is because he has to make sure the electric poles are secure the airport has a low clearance

  • Oh, okay. Thanks for the info

  • Yes, Lowell line is my home line but luckily I will be taking a providence commuter in two weeks. I am crossing my fingers the train has at least one bi level in the consist

  • It would be really cool If you could get an Upper Level Bi Level Commuter rail out of south station. I have never seen the inside of one of those

  • Yeah, I'd love to get a video of that too. i've also never been inside a bi level. I will try but I can't promise anything because I live on the north side so it's hard for me to get down there.

  • hey...can you get some footage of the harvard bus tunnel. that would be cool.

  • yeah I'll try

  • I have been on the Silver Line. The original plan was a Monorail from South Station to Logan Airport.

It was TOO expensive to build. So, when the Big Dig Tunnel was planned - it was decided to build a tunnel for the Silver Line Project.

It was also seen as an Extension for the Silver Line from Dudley Square to Downtown Boston - IF they build a tunnel to link the two together - operating between Dudley Square & Logan Airport.

The last word was the MBTA backed out. It's not clear why.

  • It's stupid how you have to get out to change from electric to diesel. They should have like a little switch in the cab.

  • That bus you're riding on reminds me of the AN460s. Interior and all.

  • it is a neoplan an460 diesel/electric

  • ya could you please get some video of a mbta new flyer D40LF bus please thankyou

  • Yep i'll try, i really like the mbta new flyers. Just wondering, do different types of regular buses (I don't mean articulated or trolley ones) run on specific routes, or is it just all randomly assigned?

  • no just randomly sign to that route like where i live new flyers are on the routes 119,116,117,114 120, 121, 424, 426, 428, 429, 431, 434, 435, 436, 439, 441, 442, 448, 449, 450, 451, 455, 456, 459, 465, 468 and some rts bus those bus route come out of the lynn garage that garage has 70 2008 New Flyer: 0830-0899, 16 1994/95 RTS (Midwest overhauled): 11 1994/95 RTS (Everett overhauled):

  • 4:05 lol, but it's twice as fast as the right-of-way

  • awesome!! that looks way more fun than the blue line ride b/c u get to go through the ted williams tunnel

cant wait to try it out first hand!

  • yeah it really was! even though i usually like trains better this is more fun than the blue line cause your actually driving through the airport with traffic area not just on some train tracks a mile away

  • can u get sum videos of u riding the mbta nabi bus please

  • Yep i'll try, but it might be a week or two.

  • Nice. I'm pretty sure this is currently the only video on youtube of the silver line all the way to logan.

  • Thanks, I really like this route and it was kinda cool going through the airport....I don't know why. I'm sure it would be better on a nice day without all the fog to see the waterfront and all the planes

  • love those buses. get videos of u riding more buses. like route 16,8,10,108, or silverline to downtown. much as u can please.

  • nice job you get some for bus video like a ride on an mbta new flyer bus
