Theyr never showed up. It was towards the end of their lifespan.
The show was outdoors in reykjavík ,Iceland on aug 28th, 1982. It was Purrkur Pillnikk's farewell performance.
The guy with the bleeding ear is the lead singer's brother. He dived off the stage like a ballerina on pcp. The crowd parted like the Red Sea and he landed painfully on the gravel. He's ok now.
If Theyr had showed up then maybe we would have a great peice of live footage of them too. Have you seen Theyr or Baraflokkurrinn live? If so please share any descriptions,
Not fare that those great groups have scanty material to go by.
That must've been amazing. Do you have any memories of Theyr's peformance, like how their live-versions sounded or Magnus' on stage persona?
And what happened with this guy with the bleeding ear during that show? He seems to have stage dived on someone's face and got his ear bitten off as a result....!!
Theyr were always amazing, seen them several times and Magnus a fantastic performer.
The guy that did the stage dive is Einar's brother (Purrkur Pillnikk's singer) his ear wasn't bitten, it just got shredded a little when he landed on the ground. He's fine.

I was there. It was fantastic.
Along with the above mentioned bands those are ones I can remember playing as well:
Reflex, Lola, Theyr, Grylurnar, Tappi Tikarrass, Petur big nose band, Fraebblarnir and a few more I'm sure.

Unfortunetaly I don't. I know that Baraflokkurinn and Q4U were on the same set, so it must have been a popular Icelandic TV show.
Someone will kindly reply with the facts, I'm sure....
