  • She is such a hateful soul. You can see it in her cold, beady eyes. Maggie please stop trying to make loving gay couples suffer just because you're miserable.

  • she looks like she is losing her wig...

  • "handy ammo for the holidays" wtf:)!

  • No, Ms. Ghallager, you are a bigot. When you say that you should treat different things differently, I assume that you should mean ALL things that are different to you. Meaning you find it okay to treat people differently just because their race, social class, sexuality, gender, education etc., is different than yours; and that's a lot of different topics. That to me sounds as bigoted as it gets.

  • I wanna punch this ignorant bitch in the face.

  • she's obviously reading off a script, and she couldn't at least proofread it........a couple million more times, moron

  • so by her reasoning any infertile couple is unable to constitute a marriage, because they can't bring about new life, No woman with a hysterectomy,no sterile men, no menopausal women. But no, because that at least would be consistent. This entire video is about manipulating family interaction to present up as down with a smile and a great dollop of sentimental condescension. How to put this to your LGBT family at the table? Simple, they're not there. Mom made sure of that already.

  • Ignorant bitch.

  • She thinks the people who are pro gay marriage are the intolerant ones? I think her neck flab is cutting off the blood flowing to her brain

  • Who is this fat fuck? Whats up with the funny haircut? the barber could not look at her as he was cutting her hair and did this mess? holy fuck this is disgusting.

  • No Maggie, actually, Marriage is a binding legal contract, uniting two consensual adults who love each other and offering them state and federal benefits. A middle school child knows this. It's common sense that two consensual adults-no matter what gender, sexual orientation, religion, and race-who love each other and want to marry should have every right to do so.

Let's not be oblivious to the fact that marriage does not require procreation. Marriage's sole purpose is not for procreation.

  • "Different things should be treated differently. That's just common sense"? What? Did she just actually say that? First of all, Loving vs. Virginia says otherwise; that we all are created equal and just because we are born different, it's not an excuse to persecute and discriminate for others differences. Second of all, we're not things, we're human beings. Third, that's NOT common sense. That's irrational and being a bully for no reason.

  • You are a disgusting cow.

... Is anyone else amused that Brak singing "I love beans" is a related video?

  • She acts like it is our opinion that defines her as a bigot. It's not, it is a fact, she is the definition of a bigot. Seriously, look it up.

  • There goes another member of the "American Taliban". Those who want to force their beliefs on everyone else because of ONE LINE in the OLD testament. Why can't they just let people be who they are. "Stop The American Taliban" from forcing their hypocritical views on everyone else. Oh and Maggie, i think it's time you retire your flow-bee and get a real HAIRCUT

  • Maggie, do you consider yourself a happy person? You must have so much hatred in yourself to do what you are doing. Or maybe you are just heartless and all about money?

  • @billywms The poor woman looks like she's probably carrying "holiday weight" all year around. And it looks like her hairdresser is a gay man himself--who shows his strong disagreement.

I think that if they want to get hitched... let them. I personally think the set-up they've got now is better. So many heteros wish they could just shack-up without that "common law" marriage shit in the way. Still.... Like everyone else says, "It's time they were unhappy, too."

  • My sister tried to bring up these "talking points" at our Thanksgiving. Bluntly, I told her that if she could come up with one non-religious reason not to support marriage equality (that I couldn't refute), I would concede her point. She couldn't, the topic was not discussed further, and then mom brought out the pie.

  • 14 likes 2233 dislikes..... take ahint maggie

  • @thelousyllama I know, right? She just doesn't get it. It's getting worse for her every day.

  • "I'm not a bigot...I just don't believe you people deserve basic human rights!" :D -People like her on blacks, latinos, immigrants, women and the poor.

  • Maggie, I think your gay hairdresser very passive aggressively hates you.

  • NO GOD

  • You're reading.

  • OMG. Logical fallacy after Logical fallacy make me wanna slap people. This makes that crazy stupid republican lady running for president look good by comparison. At least that lady had valid points in her reasoning despite her brittle premises.

  • Hey Maggie! Don't fear gays. Fear new voters who just turned 18 :)

  • ‎"It's not discriminitory to treat different things differently." Uh, isn't that the dictionary definition of discrimination?

  • Tell us all the details of your marriage Maggie, what's your last name?...Children out of wedlock...umm pot, stop calling the kettle black.

  • If "treating different things differently" were actually acceptable we would still have black drinking fountains and white drinking fountains.

  • Your hairdresser is gay and you can tell he hates you! That haircut is a sin!! LOL

  • I am fascinated by a woman, herself a mother, who would advocate a public policy that clearly harms children. With married parents, the children of same-sex couples would have greater access to health insurance, more stable family lives, and they could stop wondering why society dislikes their parents so much that it won’t let them do what it insists everyone else, including murderers and serial divorcers, are free to do. I'm thrilled to see her being skewered here on YouTube.

  • It's really sad that Mrs Srivivas is not able to earn an honest living and can only seem to make some scratch through pedaling bigotry.... which is exactly that this is. Oh, and hypocrisy, too. Can't forget that part. What's wrong with you, Maggie, why do you feel the need to pee in other peoples' attempts to be happy? What did I and others like me ever do to you?

  • I think her husband's last name is "Srivistav". For a woman who insists that we all conform to a traditional marriage, it's odd that she doesn't wear a wedding ring, doesn't use her husband's last name, works outside the home, and travels around the country attended by men not her husband, and without her husband. Not exactly following any marriage tradition I've ever heard of!

  • @BoredInfidel they must be worried their husbands are closet gays.

  • you shouldnt be able to marry because you have that stuipd hair-cut. now what?

  • guess what maggie, i dont think fat people should be able to marry. now what?

  • @juanitoconleche and what exactly is "pure white" ????? lol i really want to know what that is.

  • Maggie, take a good long look into the face of just one of the children you and your vile organization torture and try to destroy everyday.

    youtube watch?feature=player_embedded&v=TdkNn3Ei-Lg

When you die at a relatively early age due to your poor health, and meet your maker, how will you explain this?

How will you save yourself from an eternity burning in hell for what you have done?

  • @brmiller1976 bravo

  • @brmiller1976

Yep, what is going to happen to her is there is true justice in the afterlife?

  • I can't believe this fat bitch is so shallow that she thinks when she tells me that I should not be entitled to legal protections for myself and my partner that I should simply smile and agree to disagree and not think of her as a bigot. A bigot is someone who would deny to others something they claim for themselves.

Oh, and maybe if she stopped having thanksgiving dinner every day, maybe she could actually afford more than half a haircut.

  • It's this simple: if you don't believe that I am entitled to the same rights and protections that you claim for yourself, you are not worthy to be at my thanksgiving table to begin with. My friends and family do not believe that I should be a second-class citizen. If you do believe that, then you are neither my friend nor my family, period.

  • @MrDavidpowell

That was perfect! Maybe we do not want to associate ourselves with them.

  • When you state that you're against gay marriage, and in the next sentence ask for tolerance and understanding, then YOU'RE A BIGOT. Go to hell, Maggie Gallagher.

  • Principles Inaction

  • I am surprised these comments aren't censored.

  • Stupiddddd

  • Retards shouldn't be allowed in front of a camera.

  • ... Maggie Mashes-up More Mendacity ... And practices the destructive bigot lifestyle choice.

  • Call to tolerance. Right. "Please stop pointing out how idiotic my position is and tolerant my desire to enforce legal discrimination upon others!" Bitch.

  • Why is it that most of the people against gay marriage are people who you'd never want to marry anyway?

  • Marriage is NOT a MORAL issue, it is a LEGAL issue. We do not live in a Christian theocracy where your backwards excuse for morality (cough cough bigotry) should be enshrined in the law. American values like justice, liberty, and equality under the law trump your narrow-minded ideology.

  • She's almost as bad as a creationist?

  • Cunt.

  • How is there a talking pig on TV?

  • Whore of Babylon? yep!

  • 2127 dislikes to 13 likes.

    Not bad Maggie.

Too bad for you your shame is forever enshrined on the internet.

If you quit now and start trying to atone, you MAY be able to repair the damage to your legacy before you die.

  • She's trying to sound as though she's inviting a rational discussion. But really she isn't. She's merely trying to find new ways of taking away the rights of anyone who doesn't agree with her hateful, narrow-minded and petty prejudices.

  • Please, Lady. You're Archie Bunker in a dress. Don't deny it. You can flower up your speech all your want, you are still putting people down because you don't agree with their lifestyle and trying to deny them the same rights as yours. All religious people ever wanted to do is stop all change, growth and progress. Grow the fuck up and deal with the fact that things would get better much quicker if the religious would just shut the hell up.

  • "A bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices, especially one exhibiting intolerance, and animosity toward those of differing beliefs"

Sorry maggie, you're a bigot... plain and simple... worry about yourself and not me.

  • I think Maggie has the right to her beliefs. What she does not have is the right to keep me from my right to marry the person I love.

Religion is a virus that prevents society's ethical growth.

  • I agree in some small sense that different things should be treated differently, normal people like us commenting on this video should be treated as rational and sane human beings whereas bigots like you should be treated with disgust and pure hatred that you so deserve.

  • Maggie Gallagher, fuck you and your bigoted organization. Your pathetic bigotry deserves nothing more than derision and mockery, and I hope you assholes get plenty of it.

  • People are not 'things.' THAT is just common sense.

  • Yes, why the fuck would we like to talk about a topic like that at Thanksgiving......

  • Step 3. Claiming that your discrimination is above discrimination is not only hypocritical, but arrogant. Supporters of same-sex marriage should not attack you personally, but they should not have to sit idle while the rights of others are being denied.

  • Step 2. Refuting the fact that you are "something" does not make you "not something." According to Wikipedia, a bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices, especially one exhibiting intolerance, and animosity toward those of differing beliefs.

  • Step 1. So Maggie, if we only call unions that can produce children "marriage," what do you call the union between two older people or a union in which one of the members is infertile? It is easy to hide bigotry behind the guise of "It's for the children," but if we are honest with ourselves, we will find that is a lie. Marriage is about love and unfortunately some people find other people's love "icky." Let's not forget the same refusal of rights to interracial couples not that long ago.

  • OH MARY YOU'RE SUCH A HYPOCRITE xD

  • This broad has never had a moment of digestive difficulty in her life.

  • That haircut is really distracting.

  • yep, you're still a bigot maggie. and it's not about morality- it's about civil rights, stupid.

  • The most vile, disgusting "thing" ever created, this bitch doesn't deserve to be called a "human being".

  • Who sits around their Thanksgiving dinner table and just blurts out "Marriage is the union of husband and wife for a reason"? I mean, where does that even come from?

  • Personally, I believe that only white people should marry white people because that's the way God wants it. No other marriage can produce pure, white children. I'm not a bigot for seeing this moral issue differently than you. I think we should agree to see things differently. I think that you shouldn't have the right to marry who you want. You think you should have that right. Now, let's just enjoy the holidays as a family!

  • @juanitoconleche The way god wants it ?? please, you are an idiot and god doesnt exist. Now shut your hole

  • @juanitoconleche actually I had a conversation with God last week after dinner and God told me that marriage was for two people who are inlove and wanted to make a commitment to spend the rest of their lives together.

  • @Joolsie68 Amen.

  • if you disliked this, flag it also.

  • @amateurgod Nope, too funny to be removed!

  • "Wishing you and your family a very very happy & blessed Thanksgiving".... "unless you are a family headed by a same-gender couples (which really isn't a family at all, you're just roommates, maybe with some handbag accessories you call 'your children'. )"... "or your a family with a gay relative and support their Constitutional right to equality of marriage law to marry the love of their life."... "I wish you more pain and heartache"

    - Maggie (defying traditional naming conventions) Gallagher.

  • Simply saying "I'm not a bigot" doesn't make it so.

  • Maggie, your points regarding the bigotry claim would be okay if you simply "didn't understand or agree with" gay marriage. Unfortunately, you spend all of your energy and time trying to prevent loving couples from getting married and having other rights. Does it EVER occur to you that if you applied even half of your passion into positive things like fighting domestic violence, poverty, e.t.c. that you could be a person that God really wants you to be and that history looks kindly upon?

  • @kevincunni Indeed... this isn't about those who "don't think two men in a union is a marriage" being labeled as bigots (they can think that all they please). This is about those people (NOM's supporters) then turning around and doing everything in their power to maintain or further societal discrimination against gay people, and prevent or turn-back progress that's already been made. They ARE rightfully labeled as bigots given they have no legitimate secular reasons to deny civil equality.

  • Oink Oink, hairflip, Oink, hairflip, oink oink .......

  • This woman need to have her pussy licked.

  • Timothy 2:12

I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.

  • Hey Mags.....1947 Dislikes, and ONLY 12 Likes....WE'RE WINNING!!!

  • @rextrek The massive dislikes vs. likes of this video is, though not scientific, is still very clear writing on the wall for Maggie, NOM, and company. The younger and/or internet connected generations of any age are rapidly falling on the side of pro-marriage-equality for same gender couples. They have 1st hand access to all the arguments on either side at their fingertips, and when the case is made, the clear winner is equality. Furthermore, this crowd is more likely to KNOW gay people.

  • Mrs. Srivastav: If you place so much value on traditional marriage, why do you refuse to use your married name?

  • @TechBearSeattle seriously - one has to ask...WHY doesn't she? hmmmmmmmm.......I mean, IF Marriage is Soooo Traditional and all......Looks like Bigotry Pays for ol' Mags....her double chins are getting chins.

  • You can just see this video showing up 20 years from now (maybe sooner) and no one will believe that anyone fell for this hatred disguised as "common sense."

Actually judging by the "likes" versus "dislikes", that day is already here, Maggie dear.

  • Crazy woman. Crazy and vile. Beyond ugly, inside and out.

  • She says "Here's how to talk turkey". Very appropriate for someone with a turkey neck.

  • This fat cow has already had one Thanksgiving dinner too many.

  • 2/2

This video was released right before Thanksgiving, when many are far too busy to pay attention, especially older Americans who are most likely to support them and less likely to see her message online.

She and this organization probably posted this video in order to "stir the pot" on the issue.

It's not directed towards people who support her cause. It's meant to get those who are against it to get riled up and call her names or make fun of her hair.

Let's not give her the satisfaction.

  • Comment removed

  • head bobbing is distracting me

  • lol pie shuts you up, ill remember that.

  • In the wise words of George Clooney---- "At some point in our lifetime, gay marriage won't be an issue, and everyone who stood against this civil right will look as outdated as George Wallace standing on the school steps keeping James Hood from entering the University of Alabama because he was black."

    Suck it maggie maggot

  • The twat has shitty hair because even her hair stylist hates her.

  • It's sad they have to call it a "culture war" while gay people call it "building a family". Maybe that should be talking point. Step 5: Stop interfering with the lives of other private citizens.

  • @Cyberdramon That's the thing. Christianist Rethuglicans go on and on about how they want LESS GOVERNMENT in our lives, yet they want to CHANGE THE CONSTITUTION to ensure that a certain segment of society has fewer rights than others. How about we change the constitution to make it illegal to discuss your religious proclivities in public...would that be okay? You can practice whatever religion you want at home or in church, but don't SHOVE YOUR RELIGION down my throat. Would that be okay?

  • Ewww what an ugly bigoted fat bitch.

  • Family A. a gay couple with 2 adopted kids.

Family B. a heterosexual couples with 2 adopted kids.

Maggie wants to treat these two couples differently and no matter how many times she says otherwise that is discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. If she want to deny gay people equal rights she could at least admit to her own position but then again when you actively try to make life harder for millions of kids with gay parents I suppose asking for a little honesty is a bit much.

  • Me thinks one had the WHOLE turkey....and one more thing Clairol called they want their hair color back ;-)

  • As a gay person, I am less concerned about her opinions (which are now largely ignored by a a majority of the populace) and more deeply concerned about how her hair may reflect her state of mind. Because no sensible person, no person in their right mind, would wear that haircut, especially not in such a public forum. It annoyed me nearly as much as it appeared to annoy her in the video.

  • @yggdrasilification Hahahh I was thinking the SAME thing the entire video. She kept shifting it and it was really pissing me off.

  • It's not too late for you to stop being such a horrible person.

  • I wonder what her salary is. Are her opinions well paid? Would she be more rational if the compensation wasn't so great!

  • Why does she have a beaver pelt draped over her head?

  • You are a vile woman. Join the 21st Century, already.

  • Girl, did you get into a fight with a weedwacker? That hair ain't kosher.

  • 11 people use religion as an excuse to hate

  • As a professional hairstylist, I'm pretty sure she has one of the WORST haircuts I've ever seen. Perhaps she should get some gay friends to help her get some style and not look so ghastly.

  • you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

  • Step 4: never invite Maggie to Thanksgiving.

  • I bet some gay guy gave her that horrible haircut on purpose. "Here girl, this will look great!."

  • @Tonezinator Love your hair, hope it wins!!

  • I think her hair cut is more offensive than her disgusting beliefs.

  • I would have loved to have seen Maggie's Thanksgiving plate. Yum-o.

  • Why would Maggie, or any homophobe like her, even be having dinner with a gay couple in the first place? She wouldn't. So basically this is just another opportunity for her to spew her incoherent bigotry.

The moment she can rationalize why Newt Gingrich should have the right to get married THREE times (and cheat on two of his wives), but gay couples shouldn't be able to marry at all, THEN I'll listen to what she has to say. Until then, her arguments are meaningless.

  • I can't believ even 11 people "liked" this pitiful video. Keep fighting against other people's love that had nothing to do with you. And call it Christian to try and make it ok.

  • This video is stupid. Why not start with respectfully deciding to disagree instead of start by disparaging your family's love and the families of others. Maggie is an evil, lying, hateful woman who tries to shroud herself in Christian love and acceptance. The truth. She makes boatloads fighting love and attempting to dismantle thousands of families across the country. pure evil.

  • I find this video rather disgusting.

  • The good news is that those who may watch this because they want to learn how to deal with such topics get to read the REAL truth. So for all of the 26K who saw this, they saw this too. The bottom line, that all people deserve to be treated equally, whether gay marriage is the issue or not. That's the simple number one answer. People at your table will respect you a lot more for being intelligently reasonable than being another hateful bigot pontificating on the definition of marriage.

  • That hair! She needs a gay to help her with that.

  • "Most of us...have no interest in shaming those who disagree"...are you kidding me? Have you read the comments on NOM's site? It's as if 1939 Germans had a website on which they could write all kinds of disgusting things about Jews...this woman is either in complete denial or is a complete fraud.

  • Is this from The Onion or Christwire? It can't be real can it? I couldn't really pay attention to what she was saying. I was transfixed by the a-line haircut. I have that "do" when I was a kid. Didn't like it then and don't like it now.

  • The comments for the video are HEEEE-LARIOUS! I wish Slaggie could read some of them. Not sure that even her skin is thick enough to not be hurt by some of the (all true) things people are saying about her. I wish she were my aunt. I'd NEVER have to go home for Thanksgiving again!

  • Step 4: Shift conversation to the topic of lopsided haircuts.

  • 1 Timothy 2:12 - I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.

  • If she was in my family and started talking like this to my gay brother or cousin I would literally kick her out of the house and disown her.

Family isn't defined by blood. It is defined by love, and what this woman advocates is the absolute opposite of love. This woman is a disgrace, and her "faith" which propels her to such hate and sick ego rushes is an sick, vile, disgusting abomination. She is a fat bullyish cunt with no real goal in life but to bring others down to bring her self up.

  • For those doubting the immorality of gluttony, I offer this:

"And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite." Proverbs 23:2

If the Bible is going to be the basis of "sincere moral differences," let's make sure that those citing the Bible live up to its tenets. Maggie clearly isn't.

  • Where's her husband? Where's her wedding ring? Is she even married?

  • Poor Maggie any one who disagrees with her and her fellow homophobes opinion might cause a moment of discomfort or awkwardness. Poor homophobes are so sensitive, so thin-skinned and have it so rough. Some people actually disagree with them and are so unkind and intolerant that they say so. Maggie and her ilk might have an awkward moment or feel uncomfortable. If this keeps up they might feel like second-class citizens for a moment or two. Poor, sad, sensitive hate mongers.

  • "treating different things differently" is THE EXCUSE for all kinds of injustice.

    Slavery, Jim Crow Segregation, Genocide,....

We're not talking about "things", we're talking about PEOPLE! All people, despite our differences, are all fundamentally the same. How about we "treat other people, [no matter how different they seem], the same way we would want to be treated by them." ?

  • Get stuffed you asymmetrical cunt.

  • For a big supporter of Marriage,Maggie refuses to use her husband's last name..I wonder why that is?

  • I don’t know if I’m allowed to comment on things because I’m at work and having any sort of political opinion might be inappropriate?? But this woman is just awful. I can’t believe what it must feel like to be the kind of person who dedicates part of their actual life to making a whole group of people less happy. The world would be a better place if she succumbed to a disease (or was hit by a meteorite). We could spread her ashes far out to sea.

  • Her barber missed a spot...

  • Nobody does the hatemonger thing better than Maggie!

  • So according to Ms Srivstani or whatever Gallagher calls herself, all people who support same sex marriage are more hateful and irrational compared to those who oppose it? That is funny, she should try reading some of the threads on the NOM website by NOM members not to mention the hateful bigoted things Brian S Brown writes daily.

  • My skin crawls every time I hear her appeal to tolerance and kindness. This staggering hypocrisy from a woman whose life work has been to slander lgbt Americans with well documented lies is shameful.

I would hope that people see her lies about children for what they are. Gay and lesbian couples have been shown in studies to be just as capable parents.

I would hope that her shadowy network begins to comply with the laws they routinely break and disclose their donors.

  • Dude, dude, DUDE. What the fuck is up with that haircut?!

  • She looks like she's trying to hide a horribly disfigured ear.

Maybe she can't get a good haircut because all the gays hate her.

  • Is she a bobblehead? Clearly she is as empty headed as one but seriously what is up with the constant head bobbing Maggie?

  • What a horrible person.

  • A pig talkin turkey.

  • So delusional--this is a very unfortunate video. :(

  • i have said this before but, who in the fuck would talk about this at thanksgiving? these people are really nuts!

  • This video doesn't do what it claims. This woman's advice is a recipe for a fight. To avoid fights on hot-button issues, just say, "I don't agree with you on that. Want some more yams?" or "How about we not talk about politics at dinner?"

ONLY the first line of her step three is any good.

I'd like to add that the fact that this woman is fat has nothing to do with anything. Please cut the fat jokes. Not all fat people are anti-gay.

  • @Darkfrog24 I disagree. Gay people were BORN gay. Maggie has control over her gluttony. There IS a connection.
