The only way I support this policy is if they really will go through merging all three countries into having the same currency in the future to compete with the Euro and China, and if they will instill taxes again on foreign imports once the dollar regains its strength. Not quite. Highway 407 is not used for most shipping because the toll rates are too high, even with commercial discounts. It's simply a major highway for use only by those who can afford it. The rates can easily reach hundreds of dollars per month. I used to use it until the rates became ridiculous a few years ago.

The original intent of 407 was to take some of the traffic load off of Highway 401 - which is a commercial route through southern Ontario and according to wikipedia, one of the widest and busiest highways in the world. It ends at the Detroit border, as do Interstates 75 and 94. I agree with your sovereignty comment and Dobbs does tend to exaggerate, but there should be no need for any government to keep discussions about such things behind closed doors, so he is correct to raise the issue.
