That was awful. Just bending over at the waste, serving your face up like a target, trying to pull guard and then running scared off the mats ... and then "Winner"... it was an absolute joke. And boring! Penalize for jumping guard, passivity .... make people learn tachiwaza and newaza.
bjj posture is soo bad hes just leaning backwards wayyy too much and running away from the fight stay in the ring faggot...komuro is an example of a exceptional judoka wo focuses on tachi waza as well as newaza a good judoka will defineltey give a bbjer a hard fight

bibiano won. I saw him get at least two single legs from sit up guard and a double leg. All komuro did was spin him around when he pulled closed guard and one leg sweep to back take off boundaries which doesn't count. The lesson here is clear, open guard is the option against the anti bjj/ judo newaza archetype. Komuro was susceptible to de la riva to situp to single leg. Also, when his grips fail he gets wrestled to the ground. He should not rely on gi so much he could compete in adcc.
Retarded post from retarded man, Bibiano got grapplefucked, and if this was the Worlds he would be called on passivity, the man was literally running out of bounds.
pulling guard... the worst thing ever to be allowed in a competition. It should be banned for life. Transition from sacrifice throw to newaza is ok as long as the throw was really attempted but jumping guard is simply ridiculous. sad for all bjjers ... sad!
thats fucked up that Koji tried to spin him onto the concrete.. Im surprised the brazilian took it that nicely.. koji clearly didnt know how to escape the closed guard - which is why he became desperate and spun him around trying to slam him... lack of class. Great job by the referee
Shame on that Biano I don't know if anyone understood what he said at the end of the fight "acabou?" it means "is it over?" he was lost he clearly knew he was getting beaten by komuro and was surpriesed when the referee gave him the fight
yuki nakai gave koji komuro "hansukumake" or disqualification for what he saw was koji's deliberate attempt to throw bibiano outside the mats and onto the concrete. well, that how nakai saw it. too bad. koji could beat this guy. koji was never in any danger and could've won the fight in tachi and in newaza.
Thanks a lot, it make sense now. But you are 100% right, I don't think Koji was in any trouble at any time. Anyway, as you said for sure the japanese guy can beat the braziliam anytime. Thanks for replying.
I actually saw bibiano in trouble most of the time. As I don't know much about bjj rules, can anyone explain to me why komuro lost this fight? I thought he was winning all the time
You have the sensation the jap ref gave bibiano some help, maybe he was trying to look like a fair ref who doesn´t favor fighters from his own country, so he ended up favoring the Brazilian.
at 7:30. the ref restarted the fight from standing position, while clearly komuro had gained an advantageous position.
on the other hand it was very different at 8:00 because bibiano could have kept the closed guard.
In short it s an ANNOYING RESULT which doesn´t reflect who the BEST FIGHTER was; KOMURO
By the way, bibiano is always trying to look like a cooly macho man, making exaggerated gestures with his hands, especially in those situations when he was clearly in troubles.
By the way, bibiano is always trying to look like a cooly macho man, making exaggerated gestures with his hands, especially in those situations when he was clearly in troubles.
My first thought was I that I could tell who which one of them does Judo and which one does BJJ from the PATCHES! My god, how many do you really need?
Honestly haha, if I walked into my Judo club with that patches galore gi, I'd get both my arms broken and choked out, followed by a hard throw off the mat.
@jnakash Brazil is a poor country indeed... we thank God there are people like your mom, who gives us money in exchange for sex. Sweet woman with a golden heart. God bless that bitch.
@favaratojr Let it go man, just look at this fight as a fight between two athletes, not as a Japanese and Brazilian. Now you're insulting my mom? Would you talk like this in person? Is this what your dojo teaches?
@esl21 Yes, I would. And if you don't like what I said about your mother, try not to mess with who didn't talk to you, in first place. Read the comments. And say hi to your mom, I miss her.
@favaratojr You're a dude who insults peoples moms over youtube, and you're stupid enough to call yourself a prostitue, laughing all the way. You might have been responding to someone who is being an asshole, but sinking to this level is embarrassing. Use your brain man.
Learn respect for others, and see the benefits to your game. Training with such a closed mind is limiting, you should educate yourself more about Judo. There's a reason that the best cross-train. Don't you want to be the best?
@esl21 yes! I want to be the best! But I will never be, because your mom... wow, man, she is the best (and always will). But thanks for the tips... is mommy around? Any video in Youtuibe about her?
Komuro was GIVEN the rank of black belt in bjj coz he was beating all the bjjers in comp! To enter those bjj comps he HAD TO accept it as they had belt divisions.....the truth is that Komuro is a proud judoka who enjoys newaza more than tachiwaza....after all he trained under a kosen judo master, Kanae Hirata, for six years in high school. He is NOT a bjjer....he is a judoka who fights in bjj comps as well as judo ones. Komlock rules!!!
bibiano fighting style is like a claw. He would go for your body or leg to grab first and go for a submission. It only works for him fighting guys with no training in wrestling. Some one with good striking skills would knock bibiano first.
The only thing Fernandes does is defending himself clinching to komuro and walking off the tatami. No intention to submit whatsoever. He's obviously afraid to get submitted. A shame he gets the win..
They say hansoku make, disqualification for komura, because of that last move. I think he won on points. BF was just edging the tatami all the time to avoid being thrown. The referee sucks
It's very obvious the Judo guy is the dominant fighter and is doin all the attacking while the BJJ guy is running here but yea I think in BJJ the judo guy lost on points. Different rules for each game I suppose.
I think Bibiano got a little scarred of Komuro's stand up attack. That's why at the last seconds he went for the guard. He may had won but you can see, BJJ'ers are not stand up Fighters.
It seems that Bibiano Fernandes didn't want to continue after the 2 point confusion. He stayed at the edge of the bounds from then on. Mostly boring match. Bibiano is capable of a better performance.

I'm a purple belt in jits. Sankyu in judo.
Babs stopped fighting at 6:40.Notice how he stays in the yellow to avoid the takedown.
Komuro won. Nakai awards win via Paraestra politics.

bibiano won.
Komuro gave up and decided to make himself look good by breaking the rule. He entered a bjj game, he should know better....

It looked like Bibiano was up on points from those sweeps. It is interesting to see that Koji has no answer for his de la riva sweeps.
Too bad the fight ended by DQ, it could have gone either way really. Bibiano had a good game plan to negate Koji's takedown advantage.

I don't think it was a fair DQ.
Granted Komuro's method of opening Fernandes' guard was a little odd, but not illeagal.
It only became a slam, when Fernandes was reaching between Komuro's legs to braek his balance and sweep.
