Thank you Matt.....you are not alone. My first experience in the temple was as a young bride, expecting to learn more about the love of Christ and emerged, just as you, in shock. It took about 6 years of brainwashing about how wonderful it was, before I could go back. At that time we were still making the physical signs of committing suicide. I would hope others who left the temple feeling traumatized will share their experiences.
