  • Y did they have Greens trucks doing garbage and garbage trucks doing greens?

  • any chance of recycling in near future ??

  • @Binboy112 Probably not, I don't intend to visit the area again... happy with the footage I got.

  • it is a very colourfull and a good whine

  • hey mitch,

    good vid

    whats ur next vid

  • Next I'm uploading "Fairfield Recycling" - you can see a list of my near future uploads under my channel description.

  • perfect work!

it looks like a radio controlled toy garbage truck, only in life-size!

every move is flawless. very efficient.

  • Nice vid mitch

  • Very nice post fav and five stars

  • Beautiful! These operators are FAST. I wonder what time they finish for the day... it doesn't look like it would take them very long to finish a route. 5*

  • Oh yer they're fast alright, but it may surprise you to know that they don't finish early at all; they start around 6am I believe and the garbage guys don't tip their last load until just after 2pm, I'd imagine recycling and greens may be a little earlier with finishing otherwise around the same time -- Cleanaway makes their employees work hard :)

  • Wow if they finish that late... makes me wonder how many bins they collect on a typical route?

  • Generally the garbage drivers do 2 loads > 1st one is a full load of 700-800 bins and the 2nd is usually about a half load of 300-500 bins. Recycling and Greens drivers would definitely do two full 400 bin loads with maybe even a 3rd. Then there's a decent amount of travel time to/from the tip/yard (1-2hrs turnaround). That's just average stats, depends on the day, season, council, etc of course...

  • Oh ok that sounds pretty standard to me. Our routes were set up basically the same. Thanks for sharing!

  • lol at 6:55 the bin die.

  • At 0:29 was that a public waste bin?

  • No that was a normal household garbage bin, guess it's deceiving from where I videoed it.

  • heytrashman 242 i used to live in the hills shire council... yes they added the green bin to the system.. with the previous contract residents had two 240 litre bins one for recycling and the other for garbage/greenwaste... last year residents were given a new 240 green bin and a new 140 litre red bin while the recycling bin was retained to continue being used as the recycling bin

  • Alrighty thanks :D

  • good upload nice Subaru at 4:18

  • Excellent Post! lol thats what I like about Cleanaway, you never get the actual truck that is for that actual collection haha like we hardly ever got a actual Penrith MJ, we always used to get a Blacktown or Canada Bay truck etc. Always a nice change.

  • Great video. 3 lines of carts as well. I'm assuming that these bins are Sulos? I've got two Sulo keychains. Would you like to see them.

  • FIRST COMMENT--again! (And 3rd. view! bet those other two were you, right? haha)

  • lol that was quite an opening shot!! Had you been playing on the playground? ;) haha jkjk Also kinda liked the 2nd angle, and enjoyed seeing the older yellow-wheeled greens bin @ 2nd stop...haha I like this driver's style of hesitantly lowering the bin/flipping the lid as seen just once in the vid at 3:04! This was some kick ass footage Mitch, so you get a nice feat. along with the 5 and fav. :D Really kept me entertained!!

  • BTW in the descr. (which I nearly forgot to read...), you mentioned the council switching from a 2 to 3 bin system when they changed contracts, are you referring to a yard waste program being added??

  • haha Yer I was messing around on the slide with all the other toddlers and I heard the truck coming :) Personally I liked that 2nd angle too, something about all the bins and the angles I got through their positioning =] Thanks for the words, glad you enjoyed the video! Also garbo23 outlines the bin systems below, but to quickly answer your question, yes a yard waste program was added.

  • Hey Scott... garbo23 left you a comment without hitting the "reply" on here... didn't know if you saw it or not.

  • Thanks Alan, no I hadn't until now :)

LOL yeah :D then you had to pull away and bust out the camcorder when you heard him hehehe OK, thanks for mentioning that, saw what he'd said [5 days ago, when I was caught up on things LOL]
