I'm struggling to respond to this question... the dollar and the stock market are negatively correlated lately. If the stock market is to form a double dip, the dollar would most likely be gaining value while stocks headed down.
As for the economy, things never really improved. Its all a numbers game... estimates are too low, so company earnings look good. Same goes for the economic reports.
