ill give some respect because its pretty convincing evidence but image manipulation is definitely like they say not very hard at all you can pretty much do it in paint
the caravan video is CLEARLY a domestic. But the footage in the field is a bit less clear. What they should have done is get his Alsation to go and walk around over there, which would demonstrate the size. If they'd done that it would have made for quite a compelling case, as it stands you'd just have to say probably a moggy.
which one? The witnesses all seem reliable enough, but the caravan story has something fishy about it. The cat is definitely not a leopard, and even the narration doesn't add up: "the cat returned several times, then he was able to film the cat trapped in the caravan".
So who knows. But the footage in the field looks quite promising to me.
And yes, it is quite easy for a big cat to escape and survive in such an environment. The UK is not too dissimilar in climate from the Northern US...and big cats can and will survive here (mountain lions are quite comfortable here, and have always been here)...I have personally seen a large (70-100 lb) black cat in Wisconsin, similar to a mountain lion, but black, and the thought is that they either were pushed from further West or escaped. Point is...it is easily possible.
I have no doubt there are big cats in the UK...it's hardly an impossible situation. Exotic species routinely find their way into habitats that are not their home....however, I wouldn't start fearing for your lives just yet. We have big cats here in North America...native species AND the occasional exotic (for the same reasons as in the UK - people can't handle them or dont want to, and release them, or they escape)-and attacks on humans are almost entirely unheard of.
Weird how the footage of the men who went into the shed to get the black leopard ended before it came out? Or is that because they didnt want us to see that it was a black house cat from Mrs Smiths up the road? If there were really big cats in the UK there would be close up HD photography and footage of them by now. All of these long distance conveniantley blurred shots are rubbish. Would be great if it was true but too much talk and possible footage. Not enough hard solid and CLEAR evidence.
they should be allowed to live we have already whiped out spices because they did not profit us infact hurt our profits how would we feel if aliens came and whiped us out because were not porfitable to them yes i eat meat but no animal should be whiped out beacuse it cost's us
this is the other problem, people talk and stories start.. Margret just said she was at most 30 YARDS away, the guy says afterward in his clip, margrets seen it, she was like 10 feet away. No she wasnt.
moved up to scotland around 3 years ago, i was playin football wiv ma mates and was resting on a fence, facing a field, my mate was on the other side of the fence, out the corner of my eye i saw a black shadow movin through a gate, ma friend turned round and didnt see anything, however my dad went up there later with me and we found around 19 paw prints with an average of 5.3inches across
i work for the press.i can confirm if any evidence of a cat would found it the uk the police would put a gagging order on the story.like cheating footballers do.sndly without a doubt there is private ppl with guns killing them.many big cats have been found in the uk.under the freedom of information act.14 BODYS OF UNKNOWN SPECIES HAVE BEEN FOUND AND DISPOSED OFF.look it up.with out a doubt pumas leopards.if you look hard you can find good footage + big cat experts from kenya have confirmed it.
Im afraid they would have to be destroyed, not comfortable saying this as I love nature but when I talk a walk in these woods with my son, I'm not wanting to come across an apex predator thank you, and just what the f do you do if it fancies a bite? na, kill them
i do believe this......whats the chance of a big cat escaping an early zoo? or a cat that has mated and made a hybrid with a larger animal........or that their is just some big cats in the country in the uk that are only seen at night because the uk usto have bears,wolves.........and whats the chance of a wolve/cat hybrid?
i really believe they are around and this i think really proves it there was no way these are just normal domestic cats, most people see a domestic cat on a day to day basis so we know what they look like and how big they can possibly get, however these cats were clearly larger then you average domestic cat
I saw a puma while fishing a couple of years ago. It casualy stoled along the opposite side of the lake about 30 metres away from us. It must of been fully aware of us being there, yet it showed no interest in us. This proves that they are not dangerous and there is absolutely no need to shoot them. There is absolutly no denying that they are out there and the government needs to accept it.
leopards are possible as they can be small ( 20kg ) which tbh arnt that big and arnt as noticable as bigger cats e.g. large leopards 70kg+ lions&tiger 200kg+
people say they're not real but when you think about it even the country's there ment to be in it is very difficult to spot them they are not something thats going to run infront of you and steal your rubbish they are going to keep away from humans. How many badgers do you see everyday they dont just walk around people and we know their is lots of badgers so why would we see a black cat. People say there is no such things as black pumas but they do adapt.
They obviously exsist but there is no need to kill them if they were that dangerous then that guy that went into the caravan would of been killed or at least attacked...but like acehembling said people would just panic about it to much if the government anounced they exsist...your more likely to die in a car crash ffs mankind is gunna destroy every other living thing if we are not careful !!
research wouldnt hurt you, even though 65 million people live here 70% of the UK is rural. Our towns and cities are very crammed together. These cats could go easily undetected.
i saw one in dumfries in scotland. it was the size of a german shepherd...was jet black and moved like lightning. until someone is killed the government wont do anything because there would be a panic and would have to pay farmers for all the lost livestock.
theres been lots of sightings near my house theres a old railway line used by steam trains at weekends and a golfcourse and lots of feilds. been over ten sightings in last 5 years and probly more unreported sightings. they must be out there if there was hundreds kept as pets its stupid to beleive none ended up in wild.
It's funny how there are barely any sightins, yet everyone on youtube seems to have seen one in the flesh. I personally haven't. However in Brentwood Essex; the Local gazzet featured a picture of a Black puma in open.
I think it is also logical to assume that currently we are in no threat, animals such as lion's and cheetah's in other countries only attack humans as they have had alot of previous encounters in which there life was in danger. In this case the animals will not see us as a threat, nor will they see us as food because of our superious height. Therefore i think these animals if they do exist should be free to roam the countryside without the fear of them attacking us, or us attacking them.
Umfortunately if the posts are six feet tall and the animal is just over half the hight and in the background then that means it between 3 and 5 feet tall! That means it could be about the same size as a liger. hhmmmm? Not sure about the size of those posts. Sure its out there though.
I swear down i seen a big black cat of some sort bigger than any dog and it had a big long tail, i seen it traveling from Flamingo land, Yorkshire to Llandudno. It Wasn't until after we swapped trains at Manchester picadili and a good 40mins-1hour on the train that i saw it i glanced at it couldn't beleave my eyes then a row of tree's came beside the tracks, i was so angry as u only had litrally 10 seconds looking at it, what do you guys think?
I know for a fact that there are big cats in the UK, as I have seen one in Wales about 15-20 years ago. It was stalking a sheep in a field below the road we were travelling on. Both my mum and I saw it, and said at the same time 'did you see that?' once the shock had worn off. It was an incredible thing to see, and something that I will never forget. It would be a shame if they were finally confirmed, as there would doubtless be muppets who would go out and try to shoot them.
Yep i believe i saw one about 6 months ago in carmarthenshire wales. i was with my mate and i saw it but my mate would'nt have any of it.i really do hope that people dont start hunting these animals down beacuse lets face it we havent got much exciting wildlife in britain anymore after the wolves and the bears were all killed hundreds of years ago.
I saw one in West Yorkshire, I couldn't believe my own eyes, it was on waste land in Allerton Bywater, and was bigger than most dogs, never mind a domestic. You people that don't believe why??? when they changed the laws on dangerous animals and you needed a license it's known that some people couldn't afford to update their living conditions. Get real people, we're not all attention seekings, I didn't report it as it's doing no harm, and no attacks have been listed so I didn't want it killed.
i must admit that personally i dont see why we should panic... after all anyone who has seen one or been close to one... all say it moves away... chances are they know we are there before we know they are. and really they dont wanna mingle with us... they do their best to avoid us. one is reported near to me... and i dont let it spoil my enjoyment of the outdoors. i still camp a lot with my family and even by myself at times.
No it isn't rocket science, however you have to think of the consequences of announcing to the nation that big cats do exist in the wild. It would cause panic and no government wants to deal with panic as panicked people can become dangerous.
