  • Deepak, I love the grounded, honest, personal way in which you discuss this. 2 thoughts come up for me:

    1. Something I've been contemplating is what is the right balance of action vs. non-action for me? (non-action for me means cultivating a peaceful, loving energy within).

    2. I would LOVE to see vids or examples of what it means to be 100% for different people. I feel like each person has their own version of what being 100% means, and it would be great to see in 1 place. inspire us!

  • crazy!!!Deepak,i think you mis-fired from the off-words to the effect you'd be happy to pay as much as 10 times more in taxes as long as it's spent properly

obviously it's not going to,but why not just write a cheque anyway???

is that not what social charity is as oppsoed to state charity??

  • Bless you sweetheart.

  • Deepak, Please don't try to co-op this. Go away. In this, you're like Herman Cain running for president: You are the wrong person, in the wrong place, at the wrong time. Go away.

  • Thank you Deepak. Consciously aware, heart centered people Occupy Together 3 hours Monday and 3 hours Tuesday at occupycafe org Please join us to maximize potential for all.

Here's to new humanity's victory, and smooth transition into a new unified world.

  • Thank you Dr. Chopra for being part of history in the making. In my opinion we all need to educate ourselves about our money system. It's not as we have been led to believe. I suggest the website end the fed. It's a step by step historical diagram of the Federal Reserve System. It's easy to understand and puts the whole picture together.

  • Hello I am a worker in Spain. Some years ago I decided to take SOME of my money to an ethic savings bank and once I dropped my hesitations the whole of it and even my monthly salary. There are just a few offices in the country so I make my operations through machine tellers and Internet.

Why I did that? Because somebody made me realise that I considered myself "spiritual" but when it came to money I kept my money in conventional banks, so contributing with dirty business: weapons and chemicals.

  • Thank you Deepak for helping to spread the next phase. I see it as occupying ourselves to create change. The phase we are in now is the cry out of dissatisfaction and it is good because it is bringing people together. Now we need to talk about what we do. We stop playing into this system! We talk about how we want to live and how get there, actualizing these ideas in our day to day lives, our votes, our spending, etc...

  • (continued from below) I think most people assume it is innocuous, and yet it is a crime if ONLY for the incredible amount of jet fuel that is being expelled, but it clearly is more than that. Let's all look up, wake up, ask questions and demand honest answers! When I google "chemtrails", the results are mind-spinning and it's tempting to turn away and ignore it, but we can't! So, I propose "Occupy the Sky"; we all live under it- we depend upon it as much as we do the Earth... What say you?

  • Now, your video has triggered in me the idea for an issue I think is of massive importance, and yet has gone over the head of millions of us- literally. Have you ever noticed that, on some days but not others, a clear blue sky becomes murky from the vast white trails of airplanes? This is not the normal condensation trail from normal air traffic. It is persistent and noxious, and occurs across the country and around the world, and there is no acceptable official explanation for this.2 B contin'd

  • Thank you for this, Deepak. "Occupy Yourself" needs to be at the heart of any agenda for change, and I'm glad you brought it to light. No matter what is going on around us, it is how we think, feel, and respond from within ourselves that is the seed of true transformation...

  • I disagree with you Dr. Chopra. Just because your income is > $350,000 and empathize with the 99% doesn't make you a hypocrite in anyway. FDR empathized with the 99% and implemented several social programs for the 99%

  • <3 thank you for your support! When inspiring and influential figures step up in promoting social justice, economic justice, human justice...it spreads the movement to allow for more and more people to believe in the necessity of this massive global transformation.

  • Thank for saying this Deepak. I suspected you knew, but I'm really glad you said what you said. It helped me know you better. Thank you.

  • Please, follow OCCUPY MONEY as part of your movement. The book will be out in December in German by Margrit Kennedy and should be out in late January 2012 in English. Thanks for your connections to collective consciousness, Declan Kennedy

  • When you think everything is someone else´s fault, you will suffer a lot. When you realize that everything springs only from yourself, you will learn both peace and joy. Pride leads to violence and evil. The truly good gaze upon everything with love and understanding. ~ His Holiness the Dalai Lama ~
  • Chopra is autopoietic person, occupy yourself is right approach, but dishonest 1 percent misuse it. They do not have neither heart nor mind, but they are much better organized. Why?

  • Brilliant. I am all for this, and actually this has been my focus for the last several years. Remember, YOU must be the change you wish to see in the world. We can't expect to be spoon fed any difference, we have to create it for ourselves. We need to re-create our experience. If you don't like the system, then learn to live without it. Take part in creating a new system.

    LOVE1ST

  • Dear Mr. Chopra, thank you very much for this initiative occupy yourself. May I indroduce you to my artistic work "I am we"? n-log.de/data/WNH_Katalog_2010.pdf. It can be from very interest to join. Best regards, Wolf Nkole Helzle

  • Im a kriyaban. I indicated there would be an outcry as the great divide became larger and conservatives fought everything Obama recommended. I thought it might start with one unemployed person. But it did start. We must pray for the soul awareness of all. We agree. It must start with love and awareness in our hearts. We must speak out for peace and harmony for all and not for just the few.

  • Occupy yourself through authenic truth and integrity~it's always me first (o:

  • I've been listening to you since 1991 and am always moved by your insight. I think this is great but I have doubts that the people who are in control of the Federal Reserve and the global economy will ever be listening to this. It's all good for those of us who take responsibility for our lives and want to leave the planet better for our grandchildren's grandchildren but it is not going to do much good in the big picture if we can't get the ones pulling the big strings to occupy themselves.

  • It is not 1%. It is a small group of people who control the banks, corporations and higher corporate/political objectives and the combined affects are that they are able to control the government and their directives. It was always 99% because it was easier than writing a sign saying "WE ARE THE 99.9999999999999999999999999%" It is not simply mathematic and saying that anyone making $300,000+ is the 1%. That is ENTIRELY MISLEADING. Learn the facts before quoting this ridiculous statement.

  • what kind of guru concerns himself with politics . with love

  • @positivesecret Buddha

  • Buddha

  • I would like to know where this definition of the 1% came from? This to me is the biggest misconception of this movement. I see the 1% as those that consciously and maliciously chose profit over people and planet. Those that have no concern for human life. PLEASE let us all reconsider what we believe a 1% is. Having $ does NOT make you a 1%er ...DEEPAK I ASK THAT YOU CONSIDER WHAT I HAVE TO SAY AND HELP DISPEL THIS MISCONCEPTION FOR THE BETTERMENT OF ALL..WE ARE ALL ONE!

  • do you have any idea what it costs to have an organization..costs, overhead, responsiblities if it were to go under, to have this and to have money especially in the cities, to is no guarentee..to have children and to support them and there great grandchildren is not spiritual it is survival..to have money and to certain things within grasp like control, power and access is not free..therefore to be spiritual and financially comfortable is synominous..anything free is a gift and to be cherished..

  • I don't see anything hypocritical about being in the 1% and calling for others to be accountable and personally responsible.

  • I'm not so crazy about the "Just Capitalism" I'm not so sure we need a society where we buy our security and things with need our money and still be a close community. Community and oneness is the next stage of evolution. A high level barter system would give us more social and love opportunities (think indigenous tribe model.) IMO, Spiritual leaders, health care providers, and pharmaceutical companies should be non-profit and enjoy a life style equal to the rest of us.

  • I'm on board! What can I do to help? Namaste.

  • What are you thoughts on the ThriveMovementdotcom ? They outline steps to take to make change clearer than anything I have seen to date. The steps need to be more focused to what we can each do in our own lives, city, and country but other than that they are a good start.

Often we direct our issues at our governments but it is those above the governments, who influence the governments, that truly cause issues with people living harmoniously.

  • Great idea deepak,"be the change"as you have said before.I am behind this :)

As we change ourselves then great solutions will come. One solution i feel is that we need a totally new money system..one without interest bearing debt. As long as we have a money system like this then pockets of society will always be in shortage & certain countries in poverty..Its literally built into the system for that to happen. So lets be the change..occupy ourselves and start coming up with solutions.Love&Peace x

  • Thanks for putting your energy and intention in to the Occupy movement. However I don't think Occupy Yourself is a separate movement; it stems from the same issue of inequitable distribution of power. Each and every person taking responsibility is vital. We are our brothers keeper because we are all connected. Many of the wealthy have disconnected and that has been allowed by the majority, but it is an unhealthy balance. We must recognize our mutual benefit/responsibilty and Occupy Ourselves.

  • absolutely beautiful <3 ! now that's what i'm talking about.

    THE SHIFT

  • With all respect, Dr. Chopra, I would also caution on the perspective of "I am happy to pay more taxes as long as it's spent wisely" (ie, according to my interests). I believe Occupy is saying the wealthy should pay taxes as they did decades ago when the inequities in our society weren't so extreme, and not have the power to buy government to make it perfect for their interests. Government is never going to be perfect for all of us - that doesn't mean we shouldn't each pay our fair share.

  • Great thinking, Deepak, as always. The time has come for other high profile spiritual leaders like yourself to all come together and support a common goal. This looks like a great one!

All of us are stronger than any of us. Let's do this.

    All blessings on you all.

  • I love you, Deepak!!! Spirituality finally meets every day life challenges! Occupy Yourself - Be The Hundred Percent! Yes, Yes and Yes to this. Even more since we "are" 99,9% empty Space and 0,01 % matter and it is for sure time to "own" all of it. And then we will realize that we are all connected and from on source.

  • This is really wonderful. Thank you Deepak. Good luck with the conference in March, I would love to be there.

  • Occupy the potential that is a deep inner world inside you of your own unconscious and conscious creation. Take the journey to bring forward your own majestic vision of your inner world out for the world to be inspired by and co create with....Thank you for you words and openness to evolve the dialogue Deepak! Be the 100% of all you are you local time space event...peace

  • You dont mind having more money stolen from you and given to others? You can just give me some. You think the government is better than you at deciding where your hard earned money should go?

Stop the violence, stop the monopoly on the use of force.

  • @l1xx3r < Perhaps all three layers of government should take vote on the budget from everyone who files a tax return, This is not hard thing to do via internet.

Only problem here is ordinary person is not well informed about the intelligence reports that are a deciding factor on overall military spending.

    Re: video, TA with DC.

  • @Zeno1999 No one sees the government as it truly is. Democracy can only work with a larger larger debt. You can not offer people $1000 of services for $1500 and keep $500, but you sure can offer $1500 of services for $1500 but borrow $500 to keep. As long as your great grandchildren that cannot vote now have to pay it back. So everyone gets more than they put in... for now. Once people start voting themselves more, 51% of people's income is directly or almost directly from the government.

  • Wonderfu! OCCUPY YOURSELF! BE THE 100%!! (to drdeepak's "just capitalism" concept, i add 'CONSCIOUS CAPITALISM," "COLLECTIVE CAPITALISM," and "TOTAL[holistic]MARKET PRINCIPLE. Thank you dr.c., keep up the good fight, and.. a hearty 'CHEERS' to the Entire Movement!!:)

  • good points as always gotta love deePAK !

  • Love the idea! For me, the recent 11.11.11 was all about joining together as one, not splitting 99% versus 1%.

  • TY Deepak ,For supporting the Ocuupy Movement, and the way you explained it is exactly the way I see it and feel it. Much Love to you :)

Occupy DC being called a role model in the Washington Post:

Search article: Washington’s Occupy movement emerges as model for others

We are ready to take things to the next level, and very much need your assistance.

  • This is a super idea. I don't support the Occupy Wall Street movement, but would certainly get behind a push for personal accountability.

  • „Just capitalism“ sounds very controversial to me because as an expression it seems to excluse those defeated and marginalized by capitalism from the process of reshaping … on the other hand if the power and flow of capital would be redirected, would it be able to heal?? I think we experience the evolvement of completely new thought categories here in this process of occupying, reshaping ourselves and the world…

  • Your idea of Occupy Yourself seems logical and valuable to me as it means to reshape ourselves which basically is conditional in the process of reshaping the world (and not destroying it..). It means heightened awareness, tuning in, sharing ideas, reformulating values in a spirit of togetherness.

  • Thank you for your inspiring statement. It is essential that thinkers like you voice themselves in this crucial issue and take a strong position. For me the occupy movement is a great sign of hope and encouragement because it means that people all over are standing up against injustice and are starting to reshape the world. It is definitely a time where each single person is called upon to take responsibility and generate change.

  • thanks for the great intention

  • "Just Capitalism" is OK but "Occupy Yourself" feels a little weak, and like a throw-back to a "me" generation mantra. Some would argue that's what got us into this situation in the first place. The younger generation is much more about "we," which could be why things are finally happening - so "99%" rings true for them + many of us. I do think looking critically at what "we" really value in society - all of the 100% - is a crucial next phase in what I hope will be a cultural revolution.

  • luv it

  • Thanks Deepak for stepping up and defining what's really important....Occupy Yourself....take responsibility.

  • Genius! Great definition of things!!!

  • And what about the Radiation spreading all over the world from Fukushima.

Did Deepak give holistic advice on that matter? Maybe I missed it.

    OneLOVE

  • Also, anything non self sustainable is going to be more likely to be forced to change these days since we've been acting extremely out of tune with our environment in so many ways, Would suggest to anyone, get in touch with nature & life. There is a measurable gain in heart harmonics when breaking from the everyday electrosmog way of life we've become used to thinking is normal. When the heart field is strong, measuring full spectrum of harmonics, it is not as affected by destructive interferenc

  • @inphiknitfractal Thank you very much for answering my questions. They make sense to me and they are empowering.~ All in Gratitude, Love and Light.

  • Did Deepak ever give holistic advice on how to protect yourself from the CHEMTRAIL Phenomena??

Chemtrails are being sprayed all over the world. It´s BIZAR !!

They contain Aluminium, Barium particles and Aerosol.

  • @sweetloveelmo I'll give you advice on chemtrails.... Bauxite in aluminum puts off a destructive interference wave which is destructive to your toroidal field, containing your memories in wave form processed in the brain, heart & gut.. Strengthen your heart field through pranic breathing, meditation, eating live foods (not meat), intaking alot of negative ions, grounding your charge into paramagnetic stone or soil areas. Mainly your belief that you are more in control of your life than others.<3

  • It is my hope that the arrested police officer from Philadelphia, who is an OWS protester, will be able to DEMORALISE the police force by EDUCATING them.

    Let´s see what happens.

  • I am yet inspired... thank you for the video post... xo.

  • I think you have a great idea and I'm looking forward to being a part of this movement. Let's start phase 2!!

  • Namaste Deepak, you are doing very Very Good things, also perhaps split your keyword "... Occupy Your Self...", or, Occupy Your Elf , perhaps, or, Awaken Your Elf, perhaps.

  • Thanks for your insight and leadership on this, Dr. Chopra, and for offering your capabilities, resources and intentions. We appreciate leaders like you. People who are peaceful & joyful within and whose external actions are concerned & generous. As you mentioned, having the Sages and Scientists discuss this would be very helpful. Also, it's a great benefit to us that you create and share these messages - It helps instill positive intentions and provides a map for our next moments.

  • I think this is awesome....this IS what WE NEED...
