You guys have my greatest respect and I would love to witness a tornado. (not much chance as I live in England) You`ll probably hate me for saying this but I`ve watched loads of YouTube tornado videos and I really thought you guys were going to `nail` this one close-up on video as it crossed the road...but at the crucial moment, the camera seemed to take on a life of it`s own and lost the plot.slightly. Any reason for this ?

That white jeep with the yellow flashing lights that is right at the base of the tornado at 4:49 -5:00 would be me. The RFD was quit impressive but very manageable. My video will be up shortly. We got with in a hundred yards or so.

What I wouldn't give to have been in Goodnight with y'all! I can never afford a 'tornado tour' but my dream of traveling after severe thunderstorms on the high plains is relentless and resultant.

Though my Lone Star State has more tornadoes a year than almost every other state combined I might as well be living in the heart of the Rockies. We see miracle lightning storms in the summer in the rugged Alps of Texas but never weather glory like this.
