    Sorry I can't speak Spanish.

  • Hot dog pack, Smokestack, Guns in Back—Krivak!!

  • were the electronics up to date versus american EW in late 80s?

  • @yuri60014

Depends on the version. The Krivak line of Frigates was started in the 60's and has evolved over the years. It's still being built today.

  • @Husar101, Albiet to a very much modified design and in Indian shipyards.

  • @TheCharlie359

If you're refering to the Indian Navy 'Talwar' class (a.k.a Krivak-IV), they're built in Russia. The new Gorshkov class Frigate is also a further development of the Krivak class.

  • @Husar101, I did not know the Gorskov class frigate was also based on the Krivak and im pretty sure the Talwar class are constructed in India now at the Cochin shipyards, however they may have had the first batch built in Russia and simply tech transfered the design.

  • @TheCharlie359

The Talwars are built in Russia. 3 more currently under construction. The Indians are working on their own version which will be built in India in the near future.

The Gorshkov is not a Krivak but a further evolution of the design

  • 0:53 M-11 Shtorm?

  • I think it's a Naval "Neva" (SA-3)

  • @Husar101

Thanks. Shtorm wasn't installed on frigates and those missiles were much bigger...

  • @brocalfur

    you're right it's not the SA-3.

It should be the 9K33M "OSA-M" (SA-N-4 "Gecko") - the naval version of the SA-8 "Gecko" with two 9M33M missiles on a Zif-122 retractable rotating launcher
