I don't understand why he does not perform this song on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve anymore. That was always the best part of the show in my book, when he would sing this song. Thank you for posting this. I always bring this video up every New Year's Eve to listen to it and have done so for the last several years. Happy New Year's everyone.

This song has become a tradition for my husband and I. Our first NYE together as a couple we were watching a movie. Flipped the channel to watch the ball drop and Barry was doing this song. We danced in the living room with only the light from the TV, kissed each other HNY and then went back to the movie we were watching. Honestly, the most romantic NYE ever for me and the beginning of a tradition I never want to break.

i love barry. he embodies new york to me. and i'd never judge anyone. as i stated, my son, one of the sweetest most moral people i've ever met is athiest. i'm a believer, but he and i have some wonderful, spirited debates. barry is one of my faves and copacobana, although probably misspelled, is one of my all time faves, and he can outsing meatloaf, another of my faves on "read em and weep." glad we're in agreement.
