  • I am jealous of this guy he has a great attitude in the video

  • @TheScotSheriff No, I didn't, and I still don't.

  • 2200 FT LBs? That's IT?!

Pathetic. Fucking pathetic. We've had trucks slinging out 2200FT LBs for decades. Might be Sweden's strongest truck, but it's just average for us.

Also, Youtube, why the fuck did you recommend me this? I honestly don't give a shit.

  • @TestECull "2200 FT LBs? That's IT?! Pathetic. [...] We've had trucks slinging out 2200FT LBs for decades."

The reason peak-torque figures are irrelevant in a truck is that trucks have transmissions and reduction-drive differentials.

  • @hitssquad Those things do not make peak torque irrelevant. If they did you'd see 200-400FT LB engines getting 20MPG or so.

It does not matter how many gear reductions you have if your engine lacks the torque to get things moving. We have 18speed gearboxes too, ya know.

  • @TestECull "Those things do not make peak torque irrelevant. If they did you'd see 200-400FT LB engines getting 20MPG or so."

The torque is a byproduct of horsepower. The only reason we see torque figures as high as they are is that is the most convenient way of achieving the desired horsepower figures.

    .

Even if your truck had only 1 ft lb of torque, if it also had 700 horsepower, the low torque wouldn't make a difference since any amount of torque can be converted from speed by a transmission.

  • @hitssquad You have no idea how these figures work.

    Engine stats 101:

Torque: This is the engine doing work. The force it puts out, and it can be directly measured. The more torque the more force an engine can apply.

Horsepower: A calculated figure used to compare steam engines to horses. It is likened to how much work the engine can sustain as equated to work horses.

Torque is what gets you moving. Horsepower merely keeps it moving. If you have no torque you CAN NOT pull or haul.

  • @TestECull "Torque: This is the engine doing work."

    Nope. That would be power.

    .

"The more torque the more force an engine can apply."

Torque *is* force. As you just noted -- in contradiction to your previous claim -- torque is not "the engine doing work". Transmissions, and other reduction drives, multiply force, at the expense of speed. Therefore, it doesn't matter how little force an engine produces, as long as it isn't zero.

  • @TestECull "Torque is what gets you moving."

No. Torque without speed is what we call a "brake". Brakes produce torque, but they don't get you moving.

    .

"Horsepower merely keeps it moving. If you have no torque you CAN NOT pull or haul."

Any engine that can produce any amount of horsepower can also produce indefinitely large amounts of torque via any suitable transmission or other reduction drive -- at the expense of speed. See: en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Crawler-transporter

  • @hitssquad I'm not going to argue with something this stupid. You're wrong, but since you refuse to open your damn mind, I'm just going to let you continue being wrong. Have fun living in a world of ignorance!

  • @rdlx3m Living in the northeast corner of the USA I can tell you that our major highways have limits of 40 ton, running 80 ton up and down dirt roads is not uncommon here with log trucks either, Bitch Please??? look it up, interstate weight limits in the united states reasearch your opinion so you dont make yourself look stupid

  • Umm I think GM's Tierex Titan is The Most powerful and Largest. North America still rules.. Yeah and in response to Scandanavian shirkers during 2 World wars so what you got little roads in a little country. When Gazprom shuts off Europe's gas and the effin chinese have nuked Amerika cause of Obama you will wish America still existed

  • Umm I think GM's Tierex Titan is The Most powerful and Largest. North America still rules..

  • what was the point of this video?

  • wow - it's a lorry - I just shit my pants with excitement (excrement)

  • tell your "old brains" theory to the japanese...

  • now lets see if this piece of german shit can pull a road train!

  • @bartybum Swedish*

  • @zkvattram lol my bad. but still, lets see if it can...

  • @bartybum not German and being the worlds most powerful truck..... most likely lol

  • oh yea i know yall in scandinavia are just sooooooooooooo much better than us yep yep just soooooooo great and hight and mighty hahahahahWATEVER SHUT THE FUCK UP stupid ass pussys

  • @TehWench smart one you are!!!! im impressed!

  • @frank53681 it isnt that they CANT its cuz america is soooo in debt cant afford it

  • Autosubtitles: "mom died this week and today we could deliver it for the first time" LMAO

  • @666MetalNeverDies666 hahahaha saw that one too i fucking ROFLED

  • To all "road train experts", US truckers, and so on...

Norwegian roads are crazy, this clip shows the average road in norway!! Try imagine it with snow and ice ;)

    youtube.com/watch?v=8GQHbEKypws

In norway we laugh at "ice road truckers"

  • volvo makes nice trucks thats for sure!! but there is nothing like a a badass Peterbilt or a kenworth with a CAT!

  • Volvo has got their shit figured out!!

  • Volvo's... dont fuck with em'...

  • I wanna see him roll some smoke off them dualies

  • WTF ....first customer of the volvo fh 700 is a jew !! shitt !

  • @MrRevolution53 They probably already own half the shit you have through some bank, somewhere. haha

  • @M3Galaxie No shit ?

  • @M3Galaxie How can we stop them ?

  • @MrRevolution53 Well being that you don't live in America maybe you all aren't as in debt to banks through house and auto loans, but maybe you are. Heck with my student loans alone. My worth of possessions is less than what I owe the loan companies.

How can you stop them? I don't know. Money makes our world go round, it is power, it is fame, it puts you in control. They have the influence to write the laws and control how the world economic system works.

It would take a Revolution. cont..

  • @MrRevolution53 Around 1903 Henry Ford was on a boat on his way to Europe, I believe. Where he had a chat with a wealthy Jewish Banker. After discussing how Americas Financial system worked at the time Henry was astonished. He said "If the American people knew how our financial system worked, there would be a revolution overnight." After this Mr. Ford started the Dearborn post where he started to bring to light problems of the economic system.

  • @MrRevolution53 What made you thinck the guy was a Jew? And whu woud that mather

  • @tobbzor Good question !

  • @MrRevolution53 Bad answers

  • @tobbzor question , are you an israelien jew ?

  • @MrRevolution53 i'm not a jew at al. I'm an atheist

  • @tobbzor If you are an atheist respect for that !

  • look at the design, on the front of engine its so hard to replace the V belts, pls show it to the video the special tools needed in changing those belts, without removing the fan

  • Volvo, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, Hino, Man & Mercedes-Benz trucks are the top strong trucks ever!!!!

  • ogura gitoa shimanoa jimuati gruoroma agimin loland sofgoa ariimbaata molikola stuvinao sint adnos arnulfo goinna = it feel real good there is a huge difference. Some language.

  • if 50 tons is massiv in sweden imagin wot they think wen they here aussies haul over 200 tons

  • hahahah i think this will make your supertruckers shut the fuck up!! sEarch up Volvo Trucks - He drives on Norway's worst road

    and watch the vid!!

  • omfg. i cant stop laughing here..! what the fuck is wrong with you people from US and Australia? You think just cuz your trucks weight 150tonn, that it makes your driver so good? Bitch PLEASE! have you seen your roads? all you need to do is apply the cruisecontroll and lean back! Try driving 60tonns of logs with 22m+ on narrow scandinavian winther roads just few CM wider than the truck!

    bushwacker! stfu!

  • @rdlx3m yeah loggers drive pig trails in US,Canada and im sure Australia. with less horspower we got mountains thats so steep ur cabover trucks would pop wheelies

  • @rdlx3m ..ive seen volvos die in our canadian bush..they just cant hack the pain!

  • @rdlx3m um sorry we make better stuff then you and with cruse control you still need to hold the steering wheel

  • @rdlx3m you obviously haven't seen some of the mountain passes around reno

  • @rdlx3m and you'd call road train easy? well, just cause fucking scandinavia cant have any 10-trailer long trucks... dont go thinking your truckers are so good...

  • @rdlx3m umm.. we pay taxes so that our roads are nice.... Soooo.... just because we have nice rodes that we can enjoy driving on and not go off the side of the cliff, doesn't mean we're bad drivers.. Sooo i'm not impressed.. sorry.

  • @rdlx3m

Your not the brightest headlight on the road. Where do you get this idea that U.S. roads are so good? U.S. and Canadian log-haulers have it just as tough as anywhere else in the winter. Your really as dumb as the logs that you haul.

  • @rdlx3m aussie roads are the same width as european roads...

  • bla bla I would like you bigheads to come out here to northern Scandinavia and drive on our narrow winter roads for a day with 50 or 60 tons maybe after that we can talk ;)

  • Comment removed

  • lol 50 tons hahaha

  • @rollingparkinglot the man transports up to 50 tons for his job, didn't say that's all the truck could handle thou. With 0ver 700 HP im sure it would handle 2000+ tons no sweat

  • 50 tonnes is heavy in europe? there are people driving them who weigh that alone lmfao

  • volvo and scania are the two best trucks in the world

  • Here in Europe we're not allowed to drive the size and weight f trucks you drive in Australia, our laws here in Europe are more strict than the relaxed cowboy laws you have in oz and as someone else as also mention here we dont have the mile after mile of staight roads that you have.

  • Scania R730=EEV and this Volvo FH16=euro 5

  • talk about propoganda..... xD

LET THE TRUCK SPEAK FOR ITSELF.

  • I have over taken these volvo's up hill in our Foden, hence why we have a "volvo eater" badge on the back

For you aussie's yes u have big trucks as u have the space, but can u drive them around London?

  • Scania 730.......... SCANIA POWER............

  • @jorn10 lol get you XDDD

  • you get more powerful cars than that.

  • @PhotoShopChannel you're a fucking moron...seriously

  • @krypekeeper yes, i know torque is also important.

  • @PhotoShopChannel Twat, can u get other 3000nm of torque out of a car

  • scania have a 730hp 3500nm

  • I love the Swedish guy... he has a Gothenburg-accent =)

  • 700bhp lol i remember the days when 350 in my daf 95 was great lol

  • the translation is f*cked up lol.. It's like someone tried to guess what he was saying instead of actually translating it.

  • I like this truck, very nice, what am i saying, i love this truck, i would like to see the British Fire Brigade own a Volvo FH16 700, i dunno what it would do but it does look good, looks really nice,

  • @HMSDaring1 why wud they need it?

  • They need to either bring this truck to the US or at least fit that engine into the vn670 or vn780.

  • i know of road trains with over 900bhp. the only problem is that nobody makes transmissions strong enough to cope

  • The SWIFT comment is funny they are one of the slowest fleets here in the states. And also the laughing stock of the US trucking industry. Just like schneider and jb hunt.

  • Its an excellent art of work. Worlds strongest truck is exactly the right words. Impressive 2320 lb-ft tourqe from 1000rpm to 1500rpm.

Also here in sweden we have legally 60ton total weight (132277 lbs) so the power is needed in our hilly country.

  • @smallmoe theres nothing to watch ha ha ha.

  • SWIFT RULES MUTHERFUCKERS

  • @herbalme20420 No they do not you plonker driver bitch fat boy

  • it is 3150nm torque, i make a mistake no need to fight

i take photos of volvos so I know what one looks like

  • Get a Cummins KTA and a Pittsburgh Power box and you got 800 HP right there.... I liek Volvo's and have nothing bad to say about them but screw the 700 HP Volvo, Im goin to get myself a Cummins!!!

  • the mack titan has a MP10 engine that generates 605HP and has 2060 lb.ft torque which is 2 792Nm this truck is 700bhp and generates 1350nmtorque

    just comparing lol

  • You have it wrong...its 3150 nm torque......

  • But the Mack has 4,6 nm / bhp....and the Volvo has 4,5 nm / bhp.

  • Giant marine engines have even more Nm per bhp because they dont make more than 250 rpm.. You'll have to see hp, torque AND rpm in the right perspective.

  • get your facts right.

  • jv342 we will beleive that when we see vids, noob

  • So many stupid comments ... its 700 brake hourse power but you can pick out the double if you want. but you dont need to do that ... . i shift do the job and peterbilt is 20 yers after swedish trucks like scania and volvo ... ....... :) :)

  • HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! My viper has 1290hp... this truck aint half of my car.

  • if u actually had a viper with that much power u would have a vid of u doing a burnout up on youtube already.... so keep dreaming pal

  • Not talking of baby horsepower, but actual brake/tow horse power...can viper even tow a lil' car trailer

  • I'd like to see your Viper pull atleast 135'000 pounds!

  • Oh please, i know a log hauler in Maine that has a four axle Custom Peterbilt 379 with easily twice the power of this cramped flat nose. It can haul 2 fully loaded trailers of logs up and down muddy trails with plenty of power to spare. He said he could load three trailers on there easily (but the logging companies cut the corners too short and he would be able to make it around them).

  • yaawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • prety sure their are road trains with over 900bhp

  • 900 hp ????? not having a go but please tell me,where?...As a road train driver i need to know where as I have come across volvo, cummins,& CAT all 660's headin' to & fro' the mines.

  • Yes volvo has sort of accomplished for power & torque for now ,driver comfort Still at number one...Volvo cab rock & rolling, not funny esp, if doing long hauls ...bunks and cab still abit cramped and no emergency door from bunk cab....overall a number 1 truck esp now with 700 Hp

  • wtf? ha dodge trucks an ford broncos are u serious?

  • still cant beat a kenworth

  • Kenworth -a good truck if only had a better cab...y'know away with the 70's body.... how about,Western star?

  • saweeet....

  • Hey you fucking idiots stop bitching about everything and focus on the meaning of the video!!! lmao

  • what makes some of u think that australia only has flat roads that are dry n straight.... try places such as the Adelaide hills and the Great Diving Range

  • have driven volvo's as an interstate truck driver in australia. I will not drive one or take a job if it involves driving volvos. They are cheap rubbish, I don't care what anyone says.

  • you must agree though, most comfortable piece of shit....pity most companies are now buying volvos, what with CAT not into Kenworth any more, and i think a detroit 60 is a s bad as this volvo..too much rev and no action...what do'y'reckon ?

  • Have only driven cats, cummins and volvos, no experience with detroits, the general talk in aust is a 550 detroit has serious grunt but tend to blow up earlier

  • Matey, then stay away from detroit 60....you're missing nothing

  • wachaushenzi: I don't know how the US Volvos are but one can't even compare a Swedish Volvo to the US trucks. Do you think that getting the 700hp of this FH16, at 1550-1800rpm is high rev, that's up to you but the torq is still 3150Nm at 1000-1550rpm! Compare that to the biggest truck engine that Cat have: The Cat C15 - EPA 2007...The little D13 engine of my FH13 480 is even better than the C15! And don't even get me started in comparing the emissons of these engines! Just google "Euro 5"...

  • I am actually currently driving a Brand new( well,08 model)Euro 5 FH16, 540 hp Volvo, and for the amount of weight we tow here in Australia,it's no joy pulling up hills save for seat and cab suspension thus comfort and doesn't stack up against American models....yes not even freightliners argosy running on detroit 60 which i loath...yet again i've come across a volvo Fh running on cummins sig..that was coool

  • I've just checked up the Cummins Signature 600 engine and I don't think that it's very impressive. It has the same torq as my 480hp FH13 =) I can see that you think the FH540 is a tad tired if you'r using it as a Road Train (which are the coolest things out there!). The FH700'll be sweet for that kind of work! =) I can also agree with you that Volvos cab suspension is abit hard when one leave the asphalt. Scanias cab suspension is way softer.

  • Well i guess better just wait for the 700 and see how it goes then

  • I'm really curious about it to. Don't hessitate to holler when...WHEN you test a FH700 so that I'll get a first-hand-pro-trucker-evaluation! =)

  • Toowoomba, warrick,,yes just adding to truck problematic hills, and many more "unnamed" hills...not really flat i say

  • ahh toowoomba hills they shit me to tears

  • 50tons thats tiny comparded 2 over here in australia we haul 200+tons thousonds of kilometers

  • road trains! i think. ive seen them on t.v. crazy shit

  • @Rhys123455

how many mountains over 1000 meters do you have there :>

  • @Rhys123455 not up or down hills though

  • @Rhys123455 some people dont have endless amounts of desert roads with no people on them like australia. We're all very sorry that our countries have people that live over a large area. We are so sorry that we cant have 3 to 4 trailers our bad

  • @Rhys123455 Roads here are not straight ahead roads like in aussieland.

  • @Rhys123455 an you all do a great job that many couldn. thank you from america

  • @Rhys123455 im pretty sure icey roads are more dangerous than Kangaroo infested roads, harder to drive on. Maybe not, i could be wrong.

  • @Rhys123455 Do you have 10% gradients in Australia? Didn't think so...

  • @Rhys123455 the man transports up to 50 tons for his job, didn't say that's all the truck could handle thou. With 0ver 700 HP im sure it would handle 2000+ tons no sweat

  • @Rhys123455 Yes, but you have the awesome roadtrains on very long straight roads. I haven't seen those in Europe yet. Although Holland has the extended trailers now.

  • aah Volvo! Rubbish!!!

  • See all our videos and subscribe at the official Volvo Trucks YouTube channel.

  • The European trucks tend to have better emission control than the American trucks.... and also the diesel in Europe is cleaner than the American diesel fuels, with less particulates....

comparing volvo trucks to kenworth, is bascially comparing a volvo car to say a Chrysler 300C v8.

  • True that. Europe mandated Ultra Low Sulfur diesel years ago.

  • haha volvo australia cant even built there own powertronics the get them build else wear or new from swedan 47 grand later lol north american drive line rule who wants to pay 1000's for a roling computer that fucks up all the time, simple straight forward US never stops and if it does dont need a house loan to repair it

  • all u guys talking about heavy loads on a flat road, if any of u been in Norway then we are talking about 50 tons up hills for km/ kilometers ;)

  • extremley heavy 50 tons come on 120 tons with a big cat that talks to you and a kw 908 fucken volvo

  • They're talking about carrying 50 tons on slippery, long, twisty and even 15% inclined roads. In Australia you have only dry, flat and straight roads and that's how you are carrying those huge loads.

  • Idiot! You obviously haven't driven on Australian roads!

  • And It's more obvious that you haven't driven on real mountain roads. Retarded. And how could I drive in Australia if I'm from Romania, Europe. Maybe you'll invite me someday to try.

  • Dude. Have you ever lived there?? We have big mountain ranges in every state.

    Look them up for yourself....

  • i agree tmc it needs revs has no balls

  • its not an auto is a automated manual. and 700 euro hp a 575 detroit or 600 cummins would still kick its ass

  • as for anyone who thinks american trucks are fast or have grunt, they are fooling themselves, volvos are so much greater as they do NOT have to rev to produce outstanding power and torque figures, and this crap about a difference in american to euro power figures is a joke, if u listen to the video properly, 700BHP BRAKE HORSEPOWER, AT THE WHEELS!!! and thats been derated and under euro 5 emissions

  • By the time you get that meatball going I am in high range automatic's and batteries dont belong in trucks.Far as global warming thats a crock the Ocean puts more carbon than man ever will you gonna put a filter on the sea's

  • I wish I had your blissful ignorance

  • ta loco guri e mucha potencia eso che

  • Damn!

  • Its automatic +powerfull+less global warming

    Goo sweden ;P

  • I built this in pakistan

  • Yeah, Volvo India builds this model of trucks in reality

  • They should change the title to Powerful not Strongest. The truck seems to be nice. It can carry heavy loads and save fuel consumption, thats what we need these day. Trucks that don't polute the earth.

  • Volvo makes some badass trucks. :D

It's great to have the title "world strongest" once again here in Scandinavia.

  • Extremly heavy loads upto 50 tons?, 10% grades for a kilometer?

    HAHAHAHA

  • 50,000kg payload. 1m in 10m slope for kilometres at a time on ice.

  • It could have 10000 HP, not gunna help in ice, 50 Ton payload isn't THAT impressive.

The problem with the American sourced gear is that truck drivelines can't handle the power that CAN be produced from some engines.

In Australia, you can buy a Bonneted 10 x 6 Kenworth, powered buy a KSQ19 Cummins, which has been DERATED to 600 HP to protect driveline components.

These are road registed (permit), at operate on public roads grossing around 170 ton.

Type "170 tonne road train hill climb"

  • i work for volvo as a diesel technician in australia, and yes this engine is easily capable of 2000hp, 50 ton over here is absolutely nothing, the FH16 700s we have over here are pulling over 250ton

also the kenworth u mentioned is just a pile of crap, and yes the I-shift is an automated manual box which is very responsive and fast

  • How much does it cost?

  • INSANE!!!

  • LOL

  • horrible translation. Horrendous.

  • 700 BHP & 3000 NM ?! Holy fcuk.....

  • 2323 ft/lb

  • strongest truck lololoolooool yeah right

    <
