Oh indeed! A totally creditable performce. Yes, I'd sung this part when I still was able to sing baritone; I would be very eager to hear how your refinement (stamina etc) is developing. Having just checked your own website very thoroughly, I am only sorry I missed your "Schoepfung" recently. Kudos, Mr Salvi.
I want to learn this aria so badly. I've been training classically, and have an audition for my high schools annual opera coming up in a couple weeks, we're doing Les Contes D'Hoffman. I just don't think I'm ready for this, it's HARD and you did it really well. I love coloratura arias and I've been searching for coloratura baritone/bass arias to learn, but I wish I could do it as well as you did
Thank you for your comment. The cabaletta section is very difficult. Are you a singer? Have you sung this role before? If you have, then you know how demanding it is. This was my first time performing Dandini (2005) and I have improved on the stamina "issues" since then. I'm glad you thought the cavatina section was brilliant. Thanks!
I am unfortunately not an opera singer, but I do sing in choir and understand that this is a very difficult aria, demanding great control of the muscles. You did a great job as a young singer performing Dandini your first time.
congratulations John the comment from b1s116 didn't take into account that this is not a good and balanced recording. You have a really fine voice and did a good job on Dandini. Have a look on you tube at the Ponelle production that will really help you develop Dandini. Alessandro Corbelli is great. We have the same production still in our house and the Ponelle film uses our chorus.
Dear Operaman! I enjoyed the video and was impressed by your singing, a rich and powerful Baritone voice. Dramatic with bass dimensions, no doubt a great Don Giovanni? If you ever happen to come to Munich, please let me know. I'm a concert pianist, university instructor and composer of vocal works. Cover all bases from opera to broadway. Thank you again for this pleasure!

The beginning part is just brilliant, but you seem to burn out of gas in the second half.
