Talk Talk were created by God to help in the evolution of man. ANYONE who has been touched by their music has in someway moved up a level on the evolutionary ladder toward spiritual enlightenment. NO IM NOT HIGH ! ! !
This album was the second one that I bought in the start of myself listening to music.
Thirty years later, I can find no other artist's who come close to what was achieved on this album. Virtually every song is an equal to the other and there's not one song in which I'd call it, a B-side song.
To this day I still rate any band I listen to and compare their effort in one album to this one. Talk Talk were under rated in mainstream pop but for anyone with a musical thought, we know otherwise.
TALK TALK is one of the most innovative bands of all time.. underrated beyond comprehension.... so elated to find so much of their catalog here.... this track is totally timeless.... and I am listening to it over and over RIGHT NOW like I did when I was 15.... it's just as delicious and ORIGINAL!!!!
the technology served the song, not the other way around - that was clear from the beginning. I just loved how it moved me and wanted to know how to do something off the back of it
i am a producer song wrighter have been making dance music and electro since 86 i use synthisiser every day of the week . and talk talk r one of the best hybrid electro acts to come out of the uk . there production is very clean and there sound is very polished . the studio time bands had in the 80s was unlimited . and u can tell but this tune infact there is not a talk talk that is not over produced . ju just dont see that now adays . acts r in and out of the studio in a week
Anumber of years ago (late 97, early 98) Radiohead's "OK Computer" was hailed by some organisation as the "perfectly produced album". From a technical standpoint, it was flawless. I handed the person that told me this a copy of "It's My Life". They agreed that whoever wrote that about Radiohead had never heard this. EVERY track is like a layer cake; there are so many levels that every time you listen you hear something new. Pure genuis. Where are you, Mr. Hollis? We need you now...
Talk Talk fan I'am.Somehow this song eluded me.First time I've heard it & I'm hooked. That's rare.

This song in my view could of been an entrance to a James Bond Movie as it has that sound to it

This fantastic song is one of my favorites, Hollis and the keyboards add a dramatic load of intensity. The rythm session is explossive. Amazing!!
