I don't have a gr-20..but I do have a gt-6 (boss) with a korg keyboard (with midi). can i plug the midi out from gt6 to korg and have guitar dictate what sounds keyboard will make?
nope... it needs a "translator" from the audio form into a data form. From the midi out of the gt6 you can only send a program change signal, it's important to work in synchro with other dispositives (rack effects, the gr20, a looper...)
Hello, I'm an idiot. I am wondering what exactly it means to use two devices that are midi capable. How does the midi controller work? I have a gt-6, and will be getting this gr-20 soon, and wonder how they work together and what not.
thar is so cool that you can split the roland sound and play lead over it. When I switch my gk-2a pick up to synth mode the guitar sounds stops and vise versa even if I push the hold button down on my gr-33
It's a matter of volume pedals... I never switch it while playing because even if it's a short "click" you can hear, it a click however and it's a little bit noisy.
I use to set my GT-6 pedal down when I hit the orchestral chord and then set it up to play lead, it's the most easy way... ;-D
The guitar player has far more ability than most Yngwie tools who demo hardware. This guy makes you believe he's actually into what he's playing and not running through a heartless demo.
I'm sure the noise is part of the recording. I bet this sounds sick in person.
I'm not sure I've understood what you've told me 'cause of my bad english, but I like a lot the part in which you say I'm into what I'm playing... that's really true, I'm not able to just play a part only having learned it. I MUST feel it, or it will never come out.
Yep, I know... it's because of the small mic of the digital camera... I'm not able yet to put a digital audio on my videoclips, sorry... I'm working on...

That's actually how they work together... they are working together in my videos...
I think that they are made to work together at last.
Of course, here we're talking of Midi only to synchronize them and change the programs touching only the GT6 pedals, that's all of Midi connections.
