This seems to be where the iphone is headed. However key issues need to be resolved.

Text Messages cost money, there should be a option to send an email to the person instead.

With Loopt, Where and Limbo battling it out im guessing who ever doest the best marketing will win this race.

Facebook and Myspace integration should be no brainer as well as AIM, Y!, Gmail and Hotmail buddy list and chat. as well as Yelp! Loopt has most of this but has not solved the Text spamming issues.
