I like this song! There is this blog called SongSense.info where they tell you what the song really means. I can't believe what some songs are really about. I never would have imagined some of it. Cool Stuff.
i saw him this summer at a smaller venue and it was the best concert i have ever seen. he still knows how to perform. One of my favorite bands of all time.
yeah, in this gig you can really hear the organ. I saw him last friday, and the organ was mixed way too low, could hardly hear it. Also before Norm died, RIP. thanks for posting.
What's the deal with Steve Miller? He snags this Paul Pena tune with the Clapton "Crossroads" riff, and he rips off Free's "All Right Now" opening riff in his tune "Rockin' Me". Don't get me wrong--Steve Miller is a legend, but you can't rip off whole riffs like that without giving props to the original.
Wow dude...you do realize that Clapton didn't write crossroads right? Robert Johnson did...Clapton was paying him a tribute...much like when Miller plays a riff from someone else...its a compliment...get your facts straight.

"This is "regular guy" classic rock. The reguar guy drinks Budweiser and wears white New Balance sneakers...and that's about it."
Sure, but the hipsters don't do anything at ALL. Except try to be current, and that's a never-ending race that one always loses.
Rock is for real people. The hipster phonies can go do whatever it is that they pretend to do.

This opening riff reminds me so much to Clapton´s cover of Crossroads by Robert Johnson...
Does anybody thinks the same or is it just that i´m getting deaf? Haha
mostrenco82 5 years ago
yeh mate, definetely similiar to crossroads
thommo68 5 years ago
it kind of sounds like it here but the studio version doesn't sound that much similar.. the difference is that crossroads is blues
