@Susannejutta Do have any idea how many shares EACH Verizon employee holds in their 401Ks alone! VZ Wireless is strong, but, only because the landline division sets up and maintains all the hard wire going to the cell towers. You make a cell call and it goes to a cell tower and then on a landline for most of its trip and THEN it goes up to a cell tower when it reaches its destination. Without landlines, wireless is nothing. Union wanted 2 bargain back in March. Didn't have 2 come to this!

Mr.Mcadams came over from the wireless side and wants to do away with FIOS as well as everything copper from what I hear. What he doesn't realize is that are sure a lot of businesses that can't run wireless...much less over long haul fiber. Who is he going to get to work on the fiber that serves the cell sites? Some contractor from India I guess same as his "expert tech support" for the DSL trouble tickets? Guess he's backing out of FIOS in NYC? Probably never worked outside on copper ever! SAD!

Verizon's fiduciary responsible is to their shareholders. These worker's are employed in a dying division. Very sad for the worker's and families but that is the way it is. . Sorry but I think Verizon is out to break the union...and I think they are going to do it. Too many Americans are unemployed right now. The union members need to stop with the mob frenzy and look at the way things are, not the way they would like it to be.

@susannejutta Please don't believe everything you read. I hate when people who do not have full knowledge of the situation posts comments. The dying division that you are referring to is called FIOS. Yes I said FIOS, among these workers are FIOS repair and installation technicians. I do not believe that FIOS is a dying part of this company. Do you? If you don't believe me call up and try to get a FIOS install or repair appointment and see for yourself how many weeks you will have to wait.

The person who owns that home pays 30,000 a year in property taxes you should feel sorry for him! Oh wait that is only a little over 1/2 of a days pay for Him! That's why he wants to force our family members to Pay thousands a year for Medical coverage
