It did happen at 1912. But Jack and Rose are just fictional characters added by James Cameron to make the story better. There are NO SUCH 2 CHARACTERS named Jack and Rose on the 1912 tragedy. Those 2 are barely actors to make the story into a romance aside from the tragedy.
