There's just a feeling to this song, that no cover can seem to replicate...It's that feeling of being lonely, riding on a large tour bus, playing packed venues, but still being burned out because you don't feel any substance to each night. It's like the music bleeds the feeling through every note, and that's something this newer music just don't seem to get. Music has a soul.

This music is done. I'm 47 and have been a working musician since I was 18.

Bob Seger was gold. He was genius. Although I do play anymore - its pointless - this is the music that defined my life. And my life - and the memories of the music that defined who I am - will never be matched.

Real music died with the internet - Youtube included. Music was about emotion and feelings - being pretty had noting to do with it.

I miss you, Mr. Seger.

I saw Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band in 1980 at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, In. He played about a 2-1/2 hour show that was nothing but phenomenal from start to finish. Still one of my favorite all time concerts that I've ever attended.

Great back in '80, still great today, saw a show from this tour in Aug '80 @ Alpine Valley and saw 5 shows from the last tour. Still the same, still damn good!
